If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can activate this effect; Special Summon 1 "Destiny HERO" monster from your GY during the Standby Phase of the next turn.
(Secret Rare) & (Starlight Rare)

It's like if you set Shining Phoenix on fire and then forced it on the field. A total disaster.

                               Rating: 2 | POTE-EN099 | Spell Card
Life Extreme
Equip Spell
Equip only to an EARTH Synchro Monster. If the equipped monster battles an opponent's monster, the opponent's monster loses 1500 ATK during that damage calculation only. Once per turn, if a monster's battle position is changed (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this card is sent from the Spell & Trap Zone to the GY: You can Tribute 1 "Power Tool" Synchro Monster; Special Summon 1 "Life Stream Dragon" from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.)
(Common)

There's a few good EARTH Synchros like Goyo Guardian and the new Braver Dragon at least.

                               Rating: 2 | POTE-EN098 | Spell Card
Morphtronic Converter
Normal Spell
Target 1 Machine monster you control; apply the following effect depending on its battle position.
● Attack Position: Special Summon 1 "Morphtronic" monster from your Deck with a different name than that targeted monster, then place that targeted monster on top of the Deck.
● Defense Position: Change that targeted monster to Attack Position, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Machine monster from your hand.
You can only activate 1 "Morphtronic Converter" per turn.
(Common)

The 2nd effect is more viable as even Karakuris can use it.

                               Rating: 3 | POTE-EN097 | Synchro Monster
Power Tool Braver Dragon
EARTH | Machine-Type Synchro | Level 9 | ATK 2500 | DEF 2300

You can only use each effect of "Power Tool Braver Dragon" once per turn.
(Super Rare)

United We Stand and Mage Power are great choices with this and you get them for free.

Morphtronic Earfon
EARTH | Machine-Type Synchro | Level 4 | ATK 1200 | DEF 1800

They look like bad copies of Leo and Luna from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D and nothing like headphones.

                               Rating: 0 | POTE-EN095 | Effect Monster
Morphtronic Scannen
EARTH | Machine-Type Tuner | Level 6 | ATK 1500 | DEF 600

I never thought these rejects would stoop so low as to have summoning requirements, but here we are.

Morphtronic Telefon
EARTH | Machine-Type Tuner | Level 1 | ATK 100 | DEF 100

(Common)

Morphtronics need to get with the times as iPhones have more features than this despite their issues.

You can only use each effect of "Loris, Lady of Lament" once per turn.
(Super Rare)

A searchable mini Pot of Avarice for Normal Traps isn't bad, but it's 1 card for 3 Normal Traps.

Ghoti Chain
Normal Trap
Banish 1 face-up Fish monster you control; Special Summon 1 of your "Ghoti" monsters that is banished, or in your hand, Deck, or GY, with a different original name from the monster banished to activate this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. If a Fish monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your field, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 Fish monster you control; banish it, and if you do, add this card to your hand.
(Common)

Better "go fish" for something better because the guppies this supports aren't worth it.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN089 | Synchro Monster

You can banish 1 Fish monster from your hand or face-up field; add 1 "Ghoti" Trap from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Eanoc, Sentry of the Ghoti" once per turn.
(Common)

Looks like a deformed stingray that mated with a jellyfish. Maybe that explains its poor properties here?

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN087 | Effect Monster
Shif, Fairy of the Ghoti
WATER | Fish-Type Tuner |
Level 2 | ATK 0 | DEF 500

(Ultra Rare)

These weaklings will not make any impact on how Fish Decks perform.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN086 | Effect Monster
Paces, Light of the Ghoti
WATER | Fish-Type Tuner |
Level 2 | ATK 0 | DEF 0
You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 1 Fish monster from your hand, except "Paces, Light of the Ghoti". You can only use each effect of "Paces, Light of the Ghoti" once per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

Fish Decks are so underappreciated that this is pretty much useless.

                               Rating: 2 | POTE-EN085 | Trap Card
Mimesis Elephant
Continuous Trap
Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Beast/EARTH/Level 2/ATK 0/DEF 2000). (This card is also still a Trap.) If this card is in the Monster Zone (Quick Effect): You can declare 1 Type and 1 Attribute, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; it becomes that Type and Attribute, until the end of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Mimesis Elephant" once per turn.
(Common)

Much like making bad cards foil, these seem to also be manditory these days.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN084 | Spell Card
Moray of Avarice
Normal Spell
Banish 1 face-up Fish, Sea Serpent, or Aqua monster you control; draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Moray of Avarice" per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

Why is this several rarities higher than Moray of Greed, which gets you more cards and is less specific?

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN083 | Link Monster
Pitknight Earlie
FIRE | Cyberse-Type Link | ATK 1500 | Link-2
Active Link Arrow(s):
Top-Right and Right
2 Effect Monsters
When a monster this card points to activates its effect (except during the Damage Step) (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; until the end of this turn, change its ATK to 0, also negate its effects. During the End Phase, if this card is in the GY because it was destroyed by battle or card effect and sent there this turn: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use each effect of "Pitknight Earlie" once per turn.
(Common)

I'd change it to Pitknight Late because it's too late compared to the likes of Reptilianne Medusa.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN082 | Fusion Monster
Garura, Wings of Resonant Life
DARK | Winged Beast-Type Fusion |
Level 6 | ATK 1500 | DEF 2400
2 monsters with the same Type and Attribute, but different names
Any battle damage your opponent takes from battles involving this card is doubled. If this card is sent to the GY: You can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Garura, Wings of Resonant Life" once per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

1500 ATK has virtually no chance at causing any kind of battle damage to your opponent.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN081 | Effect Monster
Vanguard of the Underground Emperor
EARTH | Reptile | Level 8 | ATK 2600 | DEF 2200
If a monster(s) is sent from the hand to the GY, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card, but place it on the bottom of the Deck when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Vanguard of the Underground Emperor" once per turn.
(Common)

You'll have a much harder time getting it back and it doesn't do anything else.

                               Rating: 0 | POTE-EN080 | Trap Card
Double Dust Tornado Twins
Normal Trap
Target any number of Set cards in your Spell & Trap Zone; return this card to the hand, along with as many of those Set cards as possible (min. 1), then you can Set Spells/Traps from your hand equal to the number of cards returned to your hand by this effect. You can only activate 1 "Double Dust Tornado Twins" per turn.
(Common)

You're literally changing nothing other than what protections you have out. It's 100% pointless.

                               Rating: 2 | POTE-EN079 | Trap Card
Draco-Utopian Aura
Counter Trap
When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card, then, you can apply the following effect.

You can only activate 1 "Draco-Utopian Aura" per turn.
(Secret Rare)

At least it doesn't cost you anything unless you use the other effect, but Effect Veiler can do better.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN078 | Trap Card
Terrors of the Overroot
Normal Trap
Target 1 card your opponent controls and 1 card in their GY; send that card on the field to the GY, and if you do, Set the other card from the GY to your opponent's field. You can only activate 1 "Terrors of the Overroot" per turn.

Despite what "expert" Duelists say, NEVER give your opponent anything for free.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN077 | Trap Card

You can only use this effect of "Amaze Attraction Thrill Train" once per turn.
(Common)

Kaiba Land is still standing taller than this junkyard will ever be.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN076 | Trap Card

If all monsters you control are "Exosister" monsters (min. 1): Pay 800 LP, then target 1 card your opponent controls or in their GY; banish it, then you can apply 1 of the following effects.
● Immediately after this effect resolves, Xyz Summon 1 "Exosister" Xyz Monster using monsters you control.
● If you Xyz Summoned this turn, banish 1 card your opponent controls.
You can only activate 1 "Exosister Returnia" per turn.
(Super Rare)

It might as well say "If all monsters you control are "Exosister" monsters, YOU LOSE!"

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN075 | Trap Card
Vernusylph and the Flower Buds
Normal Trap
Target face-up cards your opponent controls, up to the number of EARTH monsters you control with different names that were Special Summoned from the GY; return EARTH monsters you control to the hand equal to the number of targets, and if you returned at least 1 to the hand, return the targeted cards to the hand. You can only activate 1 "Vernusylph and the Flower Buds" per turn.
(Common)

Every card wants to copy Brionac, but they're lacking the quality that makes Brionac so good.

Vernusylph and the Changing Season

During your opponent's turn, except the turn this card was sent to the GY, if you have no cards in your hand: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon as many "Vernusylph" monsters as possible with different names from your GY, but return them to the hand during your End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Vernusylph and the Changing Season" once per turn.
(Common)

If only changing seasons meant getting better here, but it doesn't.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN073 | Trap Card
Tearlaments Cryme
Counter Trap
When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated, while you control a "Tearlaments" monster or "Visas Starfrost": Negate the activation, and if you do, shuffle that card into the Deck, then send 1 monster from your hand to the GY. If this card is sent to the GY by card effect: You can target 1 of your banished "Tearlaments" monsters; add it to your hand. You can only use 1 "Tearlaments Cryme" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Tearlaments Sulliek
Continuous Trap

If you control a "Tearlaments" monster or "Visas Starfrost": Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change it to face-down Defense Position, then send 1 "Tearlaments" monster from your Deck to the GY. If this card is sent to the GY by card effect: You can target 1 "Tearlaments" monster in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use 1 "Tearlaments Metanoise" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
(Common)

Basically a worse Book of Moon on quite a few levels.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN070 | Trap Card
Branded Expulsion
Normal Trap
Tribute 1 Fusion Monster, then target 2 non-Fusion Monsters that are banished and/or in either GY; Special Summon both monsters, 1 on each field. If you Tributed a Fusion Monster that mentions "Fallen of Albaz" as material to activate this card, you can Special Summon both monsters to your field instead, in Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Branded Expulsion" per turn.
(Common)

De-Fusion does so much better than this.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN069 | Trap Card
Favorite Contact
Normal Trap
Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that mentions a "HERO" monster as material, ignoring its Summoning conditions, by placing the Fusion Materials mentioned on it on the bottom of the Deck in any order, from among cards in your hand, field, GY, and/or your banished cards. If you placed "Elemental HERO Neos" into the Deck, neither player can return the monster Special Summoned by this effect to the Extra Deck. You can only activate 1 "Favorite Contact" per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

Just making byapssing summoning conditions harder for nothing useful.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN068 | Spell Card
Digit Jamming
Continuous Spell
During damage calculation, if a monster battles while a monster with 1000 or more ATK is on the field: The ATK of all monsters currently on the field becomes reduced by 1000 for every 1000 ATK they have, also their DEF becomes reduced by 1000 for every 1000 DEF they have. If this card is destroyed: Apply the above ATK/DEF adjustments to all monsters currently on the field, until the end of this turn.
(Common)

So basically, everyone ends in a draw when they battle. How does that help anyone?

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN067 | Spell Card
Ultimate Slayer
Normla Spell
Your opponent cannot activate monster effects in response to this card's activation. Send 1 monster from your Extra Deck to the GY, then target 1 monster your opponent controls with the same card type (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum, or Link); shuffle it into the Deck.
(Secret Rare) & (Starlight Rare)

Why would they want to respond with anything when you're the one that really loses?

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN066 | Spell Card
Rikka Konkon
Field Spell
If you control a "Rikka" monster: You can Set 1 "Rikka" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck to your Spell & Trap Zone, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Plant monsters. Once per turn, if you would Tribute a Plant monster you control to activate a "Rikka" card or effect, you can Tribute any 1 face-up monster your opponent controls, even though you do not control it.
(Super Rare)

Nothing good about either effect and I guess it's pretty much manditory for bad cards to be foil now.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN065 | Spell Card
P.U.N.K. JAM Extreme Session
Field Spell
Once per turn: You can banish 1 "P.U.N.K." card from your GY; Special Summon 1 "P.U.N.K." monster from your hand. If a Psychic monster you control paid LP to activate its effect: You can draw 1 card. You can use this effect of "P.U.N.K. JAM Extreme Session" up to twice per turn.

You can only activate 1 "Ravenous Vendread" per turn.
(Common)

Konami knows there's no harm in opening things up to any Vendread Ritual when they all suck.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN063 | Spell Card

(Super Rare)

These guys don't look like they have the desire to even have a staring contest. They're lame anyway.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN062 | Spell Card

During your Main Phase, if your opponent controls a monster: You can Fusion Summon 1 non-Rock "Gem-Knight" monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your Deck as material, also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except "Gem-Knight" monsters. You can only use this effect of "Scatter Fusion" once per turn. When this card leaves the field, destroy all monsters Summoned by this card's effect.

Gem-Knights have far better options than this.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN061 | Spell Card
Vernusylph Corolla
Continuous Spell
All EARTH monsters you control are also treated as "Vernusylph" monsters. Once per turn, if you would discard a "Vernusylph" monster(s) and 1 card to activate the effect of that "Vernusylph" monster in your hand, you can discard only that "Vernusylph" monster(s) instead.
(Common)

It only works on your EARTH monsters on the field, making it about as useles as it is elsewhere.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN060 | Spell Card
Primeval Planet Perlereino
Field Spell
When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Tearlaments" monster or 1 "Visas Starfrost" from your Deck to your hand. Fusion Monsters and "Tearlaments" monsters you control gain 500 ATK. You can only use this effect of "Primeval Planet Perlereino" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Primeval Planet Perlereino" per turn.

Their "planet" looks like an unstable stack of oreos, which makes sense given they're total failures.

● When a card or effect is activated that targets a "Scareclaw" monster or "Visas Starfrost" you control: Negate that effect.
You can only activate 1 "Scareclaw Straddle" per turn.

Honest can do this for any LIGHT monster during battle and will likely deal more damage too.

                               Rating: 2 | POTE-EN058 | Spell Card
Branded in Central Dogmatika
Continuous Spell
If you Special Summon 1 Ritual Monster (and no other cards) by a Spell Card or effect (except during the Damage Step): You can look at either player's Extra Deck, and send 1 monster from it to the GY. If you Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster (and no other cards) by a Spell Card or effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target that monster; for the rest of this turn, it gains ATK equal to its original ATK, also it can only attack Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. You can only use each effect of "Branded in Central Dogmatika" once per turn.
(Common)

Nothing specifies an Archetype so this has quite a few uses, but still pretty limited either way.

                               Rating: 1 | POTE-EN057 | Spell Card

You can discard this card, and 1 monster or "Vernusylph" card; add 1 "Vernusylph" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Vernusylph of the Flourishing Hills", then you can Special Summon 1 EARTH monster from your GY, also you cannot activate non-EARTH monster effects for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Vernusylph of the Flourishing Hills" once per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

If Rares still existed in Booster Packs, I'd recommend making it as such, but this still could be worse.
