Tactical Evolution (TAEV-EN) Card Ratings

1. TAEV-EN080 was misprinted as a Normal Trap Card.
2. For info on how these ratings are determined, click here.
3. Card gallery: https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Set_Card_Galleries:Tactical_Evolution_(TCG-EN-1E)
                               Rating: 3 | TAEV-EN089 | Effect Monster
Blazewing Butterfly
FIRE | Insect-Type Gemini |
Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● You can Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 Gemini monster from your Graveyard, except "Blazewing Butterfly". A Gemini monster Special Summoned by this effect is treated as an Effect Monster, and gains its effect.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

While his stats are low, you can Tribute it to bring back a stronger Gemini monster and as a bonus, the Summoned Gemini monster gets its effect! Not to shabby overall!

                               Rating: 3 | TAEV-EN088 | Effect Monster
Il Blud
DARK | Zombie-Type Gemini | Level 6 | ATK 2100 | DEF 800
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Zombie-Type monster from your hand or from either player's Graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, destroy all Zombie-Type monsters Special Summoned by this effect.
(Secret Rare)

The Doom Shaman for Zombies, making this guy decent in Zombie Decks but since he lacks 300 ATK than his counter part, I cannot give him anything higher than 3/5.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN087 | Effect Monster
Phantom Dragonray Bronto
WATER | Fish-Type Gemini | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1000
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● The original ATK of this card becomes 2300. If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. This card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn, except with a card effect.
(Rare)

If I had to pick between Normal Summoning Goblin Attack Force or re-Summoning this guy, I'd choose GAF simply because this guy has a mere 1500 ATK and won't last long enough to get the 2300 ATK.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN086 | Effect Monster
Fossil Tusker
EARTH | Rock | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 0
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, inflict 400 damage to your opponent.
(Rare)

1800 ATK is decent for a Rock-Type monster but 0 DEF only hurts it and minimal burn damage hurts it even more so keep him in a Rock, EARTH or Beatdown Deck only.

                               Rating: 3 | TAEV-EN085 | Effect Monster
Mormolith
EARTH | Rock | Level 4 | ATK 1000 | DEF 900
You can Tribute 1 EARTH monster to destroy all face-up monsters with DEF equal to or less than the ATK of the Tributed card.
(Secret Rare)

Tribute it without any boost and clobber all the Monarchs at once or power it up and destroy the big ones like Horus and Jinzo!

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN084 | Effect Monster
Abyssal Kingshark
WATER | Fish | Level 4 | ATK 1700 | DEF 600
Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by an effect that does not target it, it is not destroyed.
(Secret Rare)

1700 ATK doesn't make the cut anymore and his effect doesn't help either as he can still be targeted by Trap Hole and can easily be run over by Level 3 1750 ATK Jerry Beans Man! A horrible card to use.

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN083 | Effect Monster
Cranium Fish
WATER | Fish | Level 6 | ATK 2400 | DEF 1000
You can Special Summon this card by Tributing 1 "Ocean's Keeper". You can discard 1 WATER monster to the Graveyard to destroy 1 face-down card.
(Secret Rare)

At 2400 ATK, he rivals Amphibian Beast but his effect isn't really worth activating, though.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN082 | Effect Monster
Thousand-Eyes Jellyfish
WATER | Fish | Level 5 | ATK 300 | DEF 2100
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 1 "Ocean's Keeper". Your opponent must play with their hand revealed.
(Rare)

2100 DEF for a Level 5 monster is bad to start but having to Special Summon it by another monster not even worth playing is truly horrendous! Don't ever run him, as there are better fish in the sea to use.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN081 | Effect Monster
Ocean's Keeper
WATER | Fish | Level 3 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1200
During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card is destroyed by battle, add 1 "Thousand-Eyes Jellyfish" or 1 "Cranium Fish" from your Deck to your hand.
(Rare)

He won't be guarding the ocean that long and while he possesses the piercing damage ability, so do the other monsters that are stronger than he is!

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN080 | Trap Card
Counter Counter
Normal Trap
Negate the activation of a Counter Trap Card, and destroy it.
(Common)

Thanks UDE for creating another useless card! However, this one's the worst of all since you're negating a Counter Trap and destroying it! Use Royal Decree instead.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN079 | Trap Card
The Gift of Greed
Normal Trap
Your opponent draws 2 cards.
(Common)

Even in Deck Destruction Decks, this card is pretty bad since your opponent is only adding to their hand. The only use for this is with Greed or Card Destruction. If you aren't running those cards, don't run this.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN078 | Trap Card
Gift Card
Normal Trap
Your opponent gains 3000 Life Points.
(Common)

Don't use this card unless you're running Bad Reaction to Simochi.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN077 | Trap Card
Trap Reclamation
Normal Trap
Discard 1 card and chain this card to a Trap Card you activated. Whenever that Trap Card is sent to the Graveyard, return it to its owner's hand.
(Rare)

Use Mask of Darkness instead as you don't have to discard anything to retrieve the Trap Card.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN076 | Trap Card
Spell Reclamation
Normal Trap
Discard 1 card and chain this card to a Spell Card you activated. Whenever that Spell Card is sent to the Graveyard, return it to its owner's hand.
(Rare)

The only use for this is to retrieve a negated Spell Card you activated so you can re-use it but with Magician of Faith coming off the banned list, she'll be a much better card to use than this so use her instead.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN075 | Trap Card
Strike Slash
Normal Trap
Activate only when a monster you control declares an attack. Until the end of this turn, that monster gains 700 ATK, and during battle between that attacking monster and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of that card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.
(Common)

It gives the designated monster 700 ATK and piercing damage but, there are already 2 cards that remain on the field, do the job better, and are both Spell Cards so if not using this, use them.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN074 | Trap Card
Shield Spear
Normal Trap
Target monster gains 400 ATK and DEF until the end of this turn.
(Common)

Use Rush Recklessly instead.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN073 | Trap Card
Destructive Draw
Continuous Trap
If either player has no cards in their hand at the start of their Draw Phase, they can draw 1 more card in addition to their normal draw. This card's controller loses 700 Life Points during their End Phase. (If less than 700, they become 0 instead.) When this face-up card is removed from the field, inflict 3000 damage to the player who controlled it.
(Common)

A very bad card indeed. First, you take 700 damage each turn and if you have less than 700 Life Points, you lose the Duel and worse yet, if the card leaves the field, you take 3000 damage!

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN072 | Trap Card
Common Charity
Normal Trap
Draw 2 cards, then remove from play 1 Normal Monster Card from your hand. If you don't have any Normal Monster Cards in your hand to remove, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard.
(Rare)

This card is best in Normal Monster or Dark World Decks so keep it there.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN071 | Trap Card
Venom Burn
Normal Trap
Select 1 monster with a Venom Counter(s). Remove all Venom Counters from that card, and inflict 700 damage to your opponent for each Venom Counter removed.
(Common)

Same as TAEV-EN070's comments.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN070 | Trap Card
Ambush Fangs
Normal Trap
Activate only when a face-up "Venom" monster you control is declared as an attack target. Negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. Then place 1 Venom Counter on the monster that attacked.
(Common)

A good card for Reptile Decks but not so much elsewhere.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN069 | Trap Card
Rise of the Snake Deity
Normal Trap
Activate only when a face-up "Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes" you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes" from your hand or Deck.
(Common)

Unless you're running both Vennominion and Vennominaga, don't use this card.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN068 | Trap Card
Snake Deity's Command
Counter Trap
Activate by showing your opponent 1 "Venom" monster in your hand. Negate the activation and effect of an opponent's Spell Card, and destroy it.
(Rare)

In Reptile Decks, this card's okay but elsewhere, stick to Magic Jammer instead.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN067 | Trap Card
Damage = Reptile
Continuous Trap
Once per turn, when you take Battle Damage from a battle involving a Reptile-Type monster, you can Special Summon 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Deck with ATK less than or equal to the Battle Damage you took.
(Rare)

In order to bring out a strong Reptile-Type monster, you'd have to take some serious damage, which could cost you the Duel in the end.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN066 | Trap Card
Snake Whistle
Normal Trap
Activate only when a Reptile-Type monster you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Reptile-Type monster from your Deck.
(Common)

While it can be useful when you're out of monsters or when you need an extra defense for your opponent's next attack, your opponent can chain Torrential Tribute, causing you to lose that monster and perhaps the Duel.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN065 | Trap Card
Cocoon Veil
Normal Trap
Activate by Tributing 1 face-up "Chrysalis" monster. This turn, any damage to a player caused by an effect becomes 0. Special Summon 1 "Neo-Spacian" monster written on the "Chrysalis" monster you Tributed, from your hand, Deck or from either player's Graveyard.
(Common)

Use Barrel Behind the Door instead since you can make your opponent take the damage instead and keep this card in Jaden's Neo Space Deck.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN064 | Trap Card
Hero Counterattack
Normal Trap
Activate only when an "Elemental Hero" monster you control is destroyed by battle. Your opponent selects 1 random card from your hand. If that card is an "Elemental Hero" monster, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls, then Special Summon the selected card.
(Common)

Make sure you have plenty of monsters in your hand before you activate this or you will be out one card and probably taking serious damage to your Life Points.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN063 | Trap Card
Mirror Gate
Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent's monster declares an attack targeting a face-up "Elemental Hero" monster you control. Switch control of the opponent's attacking monster with the targeted monster you control, then calculate damage. Control of those monsters switches back during the End Phase of this turn.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Not the best card in this set as a Super Rare but at least it didn't stay Ultra Rare from TAEV-JP. Still, it's still not any more playable since it's basically Creature Swap in Trap Card form that applies to Elemental Heroes.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN062 | Spell Card
Broken Bamboo Sword
Equip Spell
The equipped monster gains 0 ATK.
(Common)

*Laughs hysterically* This is nowhere NEAR broken as its uses are quite poor.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN061 | Spell Card
Amulet of Ambition
Equip Spell
Equip only to a Normal Monster. If it battles a monster with a higher Level, the equipped monster gains 500 ATK x the difference in Levels (during that battle only). When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can return it to the top of your Deck.
(Common)

Gaining 500 x the difference in the Levels of the two monsters isn't too bad considering if it's a weak monster, it'll get a major boost but it only lasts for one attack, which really hurts it.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN060 | Spell Card
Symbols of Duty
Equip Spell
Send 1 Normal Monster you control to the Graveyard. Select and Special Summon 1 monster from either Graveyard and equip it with this card. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the equipped monster.
(Rare)

It can be useful if you send a weak Normal Monster to your Graveyard to take a stronger monster from your opponent but that's about it.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN059 | Spell Card
Phalanx Pike
Equip Spell
The equipped monster gains 900 ATK for each card in either Graveyard that has the same name it does.
(Rare)

Not much use for this card. The equipped monster may gain 900 ATK per monster but the monsters must be in the Graveyard. Might be decent in a Normal Monster Deck though.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN058 | Spell Card
Creature Seizure
Normal Spell
Each player gives their opponent control of 1 of their monsters (controller's choice). You must choose a face-up Normal Monster.
(Common)

A waste of Deck space. Use Creature Swap instead since you can choose any monster you control.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN057 | Spell Card
Summoner's Art
Normal Spell
Add 1 Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from your Deck to your hand.
(Rare)

Unless you're running a Normal Monster Deck that uses high-Level monsters, don't run this.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN056 | Spell Card
Double Summon
Normal Spell
You can Normal Summon 1 additional time this turn. You can only gain this effect once per turn.
(Rare)

There are very limited uses for this card since you can use Ancient Rules to bring out a high-Level Normal Monster without tributes but you can't with this card. Use AR instead.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN055 | Spell Card
Flint Missile
Quick-Play Spell
Destroy 1 monster equipped with "Flint". You can return this card to your Deck instead of sending it to the Graveyard after it resolves.
(Common)

A sad excuse to run Flint. Don't run it or this card.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN054 | Spell Card
Cyberdark Impact!
Normal Spell
Return 1 "Cyberdark Edge", "Cyberdark Keel" and "Cyberdark Horn" from your side of the field, hand, or Graveyard to your Deck. Special Summon 1 "Cyberdark Dragon" from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)
(Secret Rare)

The Contact Fusion for Cyberdark Dragon! It's definitely better than using Polymerization/Future Fusion, Overload Fusion but still not a great card to use.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN053 | Spell Card
Venom Shot
Normal Spell
Activate only while you control a face-up "Venom" monster, "Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes", or "Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes". Send 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard and place 2 Venom Counters on 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.
(Common)

The only use for this is when your opponent's monster(s) have 500 to 1000 ATK or less. It also doesn't do anything useful unless you have Venom Swamp out.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN052 | Spell Card
Snake Rain
Normal Spell
Discard 1 card. Select 4 Reptile-Type monsters from your Deck and send them to the Graveyard.
(Rare)

Unless this is to power up Vennominion or Vennominaga, don't run this.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN051 | Spell Card
Venom Swamp
Field Spell
Monsters lose 500 ATK for each Venom Counter on them. Destroy a monster if its ATK becomes 0 by this effect. During each player's End Phase, place 1 Venom Counter on each face-up monster, except "Venom" monsters.
(Common)

In Venom Decks, this card is decent but elsewhere, it's trash.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN050 | Spell Card
Cocoon Rebirth
Continuous Spell
You can Tribute 1 face-up "Chrysalis" monster you control to Special Summon 1 "Neo-Spacian" monster written in the card text of that card from either player's Graveyard.
(Common)

While not the worst card in the set, it's not the best either but it can be somewhat okay for bringing out Flare Scarab or Grand Mole though.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN049 | Spell Card
NEX
Normal Spell
Send 1 face-up "Neo-Spacian" monster you control to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster with the same name from your Fusion Deck.
(Common)

This is just a worse version of Metamorphosis, which is also banned. Keep for Jaden's Neo Space Deck.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN048 | Spell Card
Cocoon Party
Normal Spell
Special Summon 1 "Chrysalis" monster from your Deck for each "Neo-Spacian" monster with a different name in your Graveyard.
(Common)

A pretty bad card as it brings out pretty bad monsters. Keep this in Jaden's Neo Space Deck only.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN047 | Spell Card
Convert Contact
Normal Spell
Activate only while you control no monsters. Send 1 "Neo-Spacian" monster from your hand and 1 from your Deck to the Graveyard. Then draw 2 cards.
(Common)

There are so many better draw cards than this.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN046 | Spell Card
Reverse of Neos
Quick-Play Spell
Activate only when a face-up "Neos" Fusion Monster you control is destroyed. Special Summon 1 "Elemental Hero Neos" from your Deck in Attack Position. It gains 1000 ATK and is destroyed during the End Phase of this turn.
(Common)

Just keep this card in Jaden's Neo Space Deck only.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN045 | Spell Card
Fifth Hope
Normal Spell
Select 5 "Elemental Hero" cards from your Graveyard and shuffle them into the Deck. Then draw 2 cards. Draw 3 cards instead if you had no other cards on your side of the field and in your hand when you activated this card.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Pretty much Pot of Avarice for Elemental Heroes but the extra card is mitigated by what you need to achieve it. Pot of Avarice is definitely the better card.

                               Rating: 3 | TAEV-EN044 | Fusion Monster
Ojama Knight
LIGHT | Beast-Type Fusion | Level 5 | ATK 0 | DEF 2500
1 "Ojama" monster + 1 "Ojama" monster
Select up to 2 of your opponent's Monster Card Zones. The selected zones cannot be used.
(Common)

Play him with Ojama King and your opponent cannot Summon or Set anything unless the King and his Knight leave your field and with 2500 DEF, that won't be easy! Plus, Summoning him is pretty easy!

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN043 | Fusion Monster
Elemental Hero Magma Neos
FIRE | Warrior-Type Fusion | Level 9 | ATK 3000 | DEF 2500
"Elemental Hero Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab" + "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole"
This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card gains 400 ATK for each card on the field. This card returns to the Fusion Deck during the End Phase. When this card is returned to the Fusion Deck by this effect, return all cards on the field to their owner's hands.
(Secret Rare)

3000 ATK and getting 400 ATK for each card on the field for a potential 11,800 ATK is quite decent but he needs 3 monsters to be Summoned and without Neo Space, he returns to the Fusion Deck at the End Phase.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN042 | Fusion Monster
Elemental Hero Darkbright
DARK | Warrior-Type Fusion | Level 6 | ATK 2000 | DEF 1000
"Elemental Hero Sparkman" + "Elemental Hero Necroshade"
This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step. If this card is destroyed, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls.
(Ultra Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

The ONLY reason why this card gets 2/5 is because he possesses the piercing damage effect as Dasher can run over this card with ease no matter which mode Darkbright is in.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN041 | Fusion Monster
Elemental Hero Marine Neos
WATER | Warrior-Type Fusion | Level 8 | ATK 2800 | DEF 2300
"Elemental Hero Neos" + "Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin"
This card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above cards you control to the Deck. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Once per turn, you can select 1 random card from your opponent's hand and destroy it.
(Rare)

Being 2800 ATK, I would've expected more but since he's a Rare, he's not much at all. Keep him in Jaden's Neo Space Deck only.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN040 | Fusion Monster
Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin
WATER | Warrior-Type Fusion | Level 4 | ATK 900 | DEF 1100
This card's name is also treated as "Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin". This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "NEX". Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to look at your opponent's hand and select 1 Monster Card in it. If you control a monster with an ATK greater than or equal to the selected monster's, destroy the selected card and inflict 500 damage to your opponent.
(Common)

A powered-up Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin is about all this card is and he isn't worth using anywhere but Jaden's Neo Space Deck so keep him there.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN039 | Effect Monster
Zombie Master
DARK | Zombie | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 0
Once per turn, you can send 1 Monster Card from your hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Zombie-Type Monster from either player's Graveyard.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

1800 ATK is a nice start but his effect is quite decent, especially in a Zombie Deck! That lack of DEF doesn't help him much though.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN038 | Effect Monster
Dark Effigy
DARK | Fiend | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 0
If you Tribute Summon a DARK Normal Monster, you can treat this 1 monster as 2 Tributes.
(Common)

Stick to Double Coston instead.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN037 | Effect Monster
Light Effigy
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 0
If you Tribute Summon a LIGHT Normal Monster, you can treat this 1 monster as 2 Tributes.
(Common)

Use Kaiser Sea Horse instead.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN036 | Effect Monster
Razor Lizard
EARTH | Reptile | Level 3 | ATK 1500 | DEF 300
When this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster while there is another Reptile-Type monster on your side of the field besides this card, destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up, or applying damage calculation.
(Common)

With those stats, anyone who uses him is about as sharp as the frills on Razor Lizard's head! Use Drillroid instead.

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN035 | Effect Monster
Ritual Raven
DARK | Fiend | Level 1 | ATK 300 | DEF 300
If you Ritual Summon a DARK Ritual Monster, this 1 card can be used as the entire Tribute.
(Common)

Why 4/5 for such a weak monster? He can take care of Tributes for any DARK Ritual Monster, making him a must for any DARK Fiend Deck or a Deck that uses DARK Ritual Monsters.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN034 | Effect Monster
Desert Twister
WIND | Fiend | Level 6 | ATK 2300 | DEF 2000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play 1 EARTH and 2 WIND monsters from your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.
(Ultra Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Like his twin brother, this isn't any better since it has most of the same flaws.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN033 | Effect Monster
Frost and Flame Dragon
WATER | Dragon | Level 6 | ATK 2300 | DEF 2000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play 1 FIRE and 2 WATER monsters from your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to destroy 1 monster on the field.
(Secret Rare)

Neither his stats of (2300/2000) or his effect aren't all that impressive since you can only do it once per turn, making him an overall disappointing ScR card.

                               Rating: 3 | TAEV-EN032 | Effect Monster
Neo Space Pathfinder
LIGHT | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 800
You can discard this card to the Graveyard to add 1 "Neo Space" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.
(Rare)

Being able to search out Neo Space can be quite helpful especially if you're running a Contact Fusion Deck! 1800 ATK is also nice elsewhere!

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN031 | Effect Monster
Crystal Seer
WATER | Spellcaster | Level 1 | ATK 100 | DEF 100
FLIP: Pick up 2 cards from the top of your Deck. Select 1 of those cards and add it to your hand, and put the other card on the bottom of your Deck.
(Ultra Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

This guy is a watered down Jar of Greed as you keep only one of the cards you picked up. If, however, it let you keep both cards, then it'd get a higher rating.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN030 | Effect Monster
Phantom Cricket
EARTH | Insect | Level 2 | ATK 300 | DEF 1000
FLIP: Return 1 face-down monster from the field to the top of its owner's Deck.
(Common)

A poor excuse to save yourself from being wiped out by your opponent in one turn but he can only return one monster while Penguin Soldier can return 2 so use that instead.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN029 | Effect Monster
Gravitic Orb
DARK | Fiend | Level 3 | ATK 1100 | DEF 700
FLIP: Change the Battle Positions of all face-up monsters your opponent controls.
(Common)

A Black Hole has more gravity than this card and will pull anything too close into it. Plus it's stats won't keep it on the field long and the only use for this card is if your opponent only has Attack Position monsters.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN028 | Effect Monster
Flint Lock
LIGHT | Machine | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 800
Once per turn, you can equip a "Flint" on the field to this card. You can take any "Flint" equipped to this card and equip it to another face-up monster. This card can only be equipped with one "Flint" at a time. While equipped with "Flint", this card is unaffected by "Flint's" effect and cannot be destroyed by battle.
(Common)

Yet another weak monster that probably won't see play over Spirit Reaper/Marshmallon. Use one of those instead.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN027 | Effect Monster
Shadow Delver
DARK | Fiend-Type Gemini | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up Level 4 or lower DARK monster you control. It can attack your opponent directly this turn.
(Common)

Another pretty bad Gemini-Type monster. Although he can allow a DARK monster to attack directly, it must be Level 4, which really hurts this card's playability.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN026 | Effect Monster
King Pyron
FIRE | Pyro-Type Gemini | Level 5 | ATK 1500 | DEF 500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● Once per turn, you can inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.
(Common)

A high-Level Gemini with poor stats. Sure he can deal 1000 damage each turn but Solar Flare Dragon is better in just about every way.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN025 | Effect Monster
Doom Shaman
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Gemini | Level 6 | ATK 2400 | DEF 2000
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Fiend-Type monster from your hand or from either player's Graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, destroy all Fiend-Type monsters Special Summoned by this effect.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Pretty high stats for one Tribute! Plus, he can bring back Fiend-Type monsters from either Graveyard for free but isn't a Fiend-Type monster and takes the Special Summoned monsters with him when he leaves.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN024 | Effect Monster
Dawnbreak Gardna
LIGHT | Warrior-Type Gemini | Level 3 | ATK 1500 | DEF 500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● The original DEF of this card becomes 2300.
(Common)

Getting 2300 DEF isn't the worst effect to use but Destiny Hero - Defender has 2700 DEF and doesn't need to be re-Summoned. So outside Gemini Decks, run Defender instead.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN023 | Effect Monster
Goggle Golem
EARTH | Rock-Type Gemini | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● The original ATK of this card becomes 2100.
(Common)

Get him re-Summoned and he rivals Cyber Dragon but still, Cyber Dragon's better since all you need is all monsters on the field be in your opponent's control to bring him out.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN022 | Effect Monster
Grasschopper
EARTH | Insect-Type Gemini | Level 5 | ATK 2350 | DEF 1000
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each.
(Rare)

Being able to attack all monsters your opponent controls is quite decent but stats of (2350/1000) and having to be re-Summoned to get the effect isn't so keep this card in Gemini-Type monster Decks.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN021 | Effect Monster
Lucky Pied Piper
WIND | Fairy-Type Gemini | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

It'd be very lucky to win a single battle on its own and even then you don't get much out of it.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN020 | Effect Monster
Aquarian Alessa
WATER | Aqua-Type Gemini | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, they discard 1 random card.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

She's horrible for a Gemini-Type monster since you waste your Normal Summon to bring her out twice in a row and her stats and effect aren't really worth it.

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN019 | Effect Monster
Chthonian Emperor Dragon
FIRE | Dragon-Type Gemini | Level 6 | ATK 2400 | DEF 1500
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase.
(Ultra Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Not only is he one Tribute but re-Summon him and he can attack twice per turn! Like the other Gemini-Type monsters you must waste your Summon to give him the effect, which can be chained to.

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN018 | Effect Monster
Elemental Hero Neos Alius
LIGHT | Warrior-Type Gemini | Level 4 | ATK 1900 | DEF 1300
This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● This face-up card's name is treated as "Elemental Hero Neos".
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Whether for Normal Monster, Beatdown or Gemini, this card is a must! What hurts it is the fact that you have to waste your Normal Summon to treat him as Neos.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN017 | Effect Monster
Venom Serpent
DARK | Reptile | Level 4 | ATK 1000 | DEF 800
Once per turn, you can place 1 Venom Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls.
(Common)

He can attack the same turn you activate his effect but with 1000 ATK, it's hardly worth it. Like Boa and Snake, keep this critter in Thelonius Viper or Reptile Decks only.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN016 | Effect Monster
Venom Boa
EARTH | Reptile | Level 5 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1200
Once per turn, you can place 2 Venom Counters on 1 monster your opponent controls. If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack during this turn.
(Common)

He too can't attack if his effect is used but also requires a Tribute and cannot escape GB or LLA-B. This is another card for Thelonius Viper or Reptile Decks only.

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN015 | Effect Monster
Venom Snake
EARTH | Reptile | Level 3 | ATK 1200 | DEF 600
Once per turn, you can place 1 Venom Counter on 1 monster your opponent controls. If you activate this effect, this card cannot attack during this turn.
(Common)

There must be very little poison in this snake since his stats are low and what's worse the monster with a Venom Counter on it can still attack. A horrid card outside Thelonius Viper or Reptile Decks.

                               Rating: 3 | TAEV-EN014 | Effect Monster
Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes
DARK | Reptile | Level 8 | ATK 0 | DEF 0
This card cannot be Special Summoned by another Effect Monster's effect. This card is unaffected by "Venom Swamp". This card gains 500 ATK for each Reptile-Type monster in your Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove from play 1 other Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card.
(Ultra Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

2 Tributes for a monster with no ATK or DEF may seem weak at first but power him up with tons of Reptile-Type monsters and he'll be quite deadly!

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN013 | Effect Monster
Vennominaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes
DARK | Reptile | Level 10 | ATK 0 | DEF 0
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with its own effect or with "Rise of the Snake Deity". This card gains 500 ATK for each Reptile-Type monster in your Graveyard. This card cannot be targeted and is unaffected by the effects of other Monsters, Spells, and Traps. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can remove from play 1 other Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, place 1 Hyper-Venom Counter on it. When 3 Hyper-Venom Counters are on this card, you win the Duel.
(Secret Rare)

She's sure to do a number on your opponent, especially since when she has three hyper venom counters on her, you win the Duel! Her Summoning requirements freeze her rating at 4 stars.

Necro Gardna
DARK | Warrior | Level 3 | ATK 600 | DEF 1300
Remove from play this card in your Graveyard to negate 1 attack from a monster your opponent controls.
(Super Rare) & (Ultimate Rare)

Weakj stats and a bad effect make him about as bad as Cyber Barrier Dragon but Cyber Barrier can use its effect multiple times in a Duel while this can only do it up to 3 times unless it's put back in the Grave.

You can Tribute this card while "Neo Space" is on the field to Special Summon 1 "Neo-Spacian Dark Panther" from your hand or Deck.

I don't know what's worse, the low stats or the lousy effect that can only activate with Neo Space out! Only use this in Jaden's Neo Space Deck.

                               Rating: 2 | TAEV-EN006 | Effect Monster
Rainbow Dragon
LIGHT | Dragon | Level 10 | ATK 4000 | DEF 0
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned, except from your hand while you have 7 "Crystal Beast" cards with different names on the field or in your Graveyard. This card cannot activate its effects the turn it is Special Summoned. ● Send all "Crystal Beast" monsters you control to the Graveyard; this card gains 1000 ATK for each card sent. You can activate this effect during either player's turn. ● You can remove from play all "Crystal Beast" Monster Cards in your Graveyard to return all cards on the field to their owners' Decks.
(Secret Rare), (Ultimate Rare) & (Ghost Rare)

A powerful monster with a pretty heavy Summoning requirement. Plus, neither of his two effects can be activated the turn he hits the field and his DEF isn't good either.

Venom Cobra
EARTH | Reptile | Level 4 | ATK 100 | DEF 2000
Hard scales cover all parts of this gigantic cobra. It hunts by shooting large amounts of venom, but because of its large size, its attack pattern is easily predicted.
(Common)

Basically, he's about as good as Renge of Dark World: Good for stall and that's about it.

Hunter Dragon
DARK | Dragon | Level 3 | ATK 1700 | DEF 100
This dragon has taken down countless prey with its sharp fangs. It strikes very quickly, because if it does not strike first, it is vulnerable to a counter-attack.
(Rare)

*Sigh* Another weak monster that only good to get under Gravity Bind.

Renge, Gatekeeper of Dark World
DARK | Fiend | Level 4 | ATK 100 | DEF 2100
His renowned athletic physique has made him famous with the populace of Dark World. They call him "Iron Wall Renge" because no one can break through his incredible defenses.
(Common)

Hmm, "no one can break through his incredible defense"...I can think of a few! For Stall Decks, he's useful but not so much elsewhere
.

Volcanic Rat
FIRE | Pyro | Level 1 | ATK 500 | DEF 500
This mutated mouse dwells in the core of active volcanoes. No amount of heat is too much for it to bear.
(Common)

That volcano he came from must have melted away all but 500 ATK and DEF for he's the exact opposite of Alien Shocktrooper. Don't run him at all.

                               Rating: 4 | TAEV-EN001 | Normal Monster
Alien Shocktrooper
EARTH | Reptile | Level 4 | ATK 1900 | DEF 800
The Aliens have used a mysterious biological substance to create a supreme race of soldiers. They do not have the natural powers of the other Aliens, but can make stunning physical attacks.
(Common)

His high ATK makes him the strongest vanilla Alien monster in the game thus far and is a worthy choice for any Deck!

                               Rating: 1 | TAEV-EN000 | Effect Monster
Gemini Summoner
WATER | Spellcaster | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 0
Once per turn, during your opponent's End Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points to Normal Summon or Set 1 Gemini monster from your hand or Normal Summon 1 face-up Gemini monster you control. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. (Damage Calculation is applied normally.)
(Secret Rare)

He has an ability to be indestructible in battle but only for one turn and since his stats are low, even Maha Vailo can destroy him without a problem. Overall just a bad card to use outside Gemini Decks.
