OTS Tournament Pack 5 (Spoiler) |
OP05-EN022 Fusion Monster Rose Spectre of Dunn DARK | Plant-Type Fusion | Level 6 | ATK 2000 | DEF 1800 "Feral Imp" + "Snakeyashi" (Common) Rating: 1 It's so bad, it's exempt from Instant Fusion territory. I'd rather name it Rose, Susceptible to Doom because those stats don't do well without a good effect these days. |
OP05-EN014 Normal Monster Snakeyashi EARTH | Plant | Level 4 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1200 This monster is formed by several serpents that break off to individually attack nearby enemies. (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 All those serpents clearly gave it no threatening properties because its stats and lack of a good effect say it's garbage. |
OTS Tournament Pack 4 (Spoiler) |
OP04-EN022 Fusion Monster Marine Beast WATER | Fish-Type Fusion | Level 5 | ATK 1700 | DEF 1600 "Water Magician" + "Behegon" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 Of course, the only viable use with this is included as an Ultimate Rare but contrary to how mean it looks, it's little more than a guppy when compared to monsters released today. |
OTS Tournament Pack 3 (Spoiler) |
OP03-EN026 Fusion Monster Rare Fish WATER | Fish-Type Fusion | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 1200 "Fusionist" + "Enchanting Mermaid" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 It's bad enough that it's a lame vanilla Fusion Monster but it also requires an equally bad Fusion Monster as Fusion Material and has horrible stats. It's a good thing this is a rare fish because no one will want to see it. |
OTS Tournament Pack 2 (Spoiler) |
OP02-EN022 Fusion Monster Skullbird WIND | Winged Beast-Type Fusion | Level 6 | ATK 1900 | DEF 1700 Takuhee + "Temple of Skulls" (Common) Rating: 1 Can't even Instant Fusion it but that's not even good enough to warrant using it anyway. |
OP02-EN019 Effect Monster Galaxy Dragon LIGHT | Dragon | Level 4 | ATK 2000 | DEF 1200 This card cannot attack directly, and can only attack Dragon-Type monsters. If this card battles a Dragon-Type monster, this card gains 1000 ATK during the Damage Step only, also that monster has its effects negated during this Battle Phase, as long as this card remains face-up on the field. (Common) Rating: 1 Though it's not a new card anymore, its text has been updated to clarify how it works and erratums like this will be enough for me to rate them again as they now have a different way to be played. Unfortunately, this guy has now lost what playability it had before. |
OTS Tournament Pack 1 (Spoiler) |
OP01-EN019 Fusion Monster Zombie Warrior DARK | Zombie-Type Fusion | Level 3 | ATK 1200 | DEF 900 "Skull Servant" + "Battle Warrior" (Common) Rating: 1 Why couldn't it have been a Normal Monster like in the anime? It'd have at least taken less effort to bring out because even in the early days of Yu-Gi-Oh, this wouldn't have seen much play due to how much effort it took, not to mention how difficult it was to get Polymerization back then. |
Astral Pack Eight (Spoiler) |
AP08-EN021 Fusion Monster Vermillion Sparrow FIRE | Pyro-Type Fusion | Level 5 | ATK 1900 | DEF 1500 Rhaimundos of the Red Sword" + "Fireyarou" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 It's just now getting released in English here in the states but it's already on the endangered species list, mostly because it's too weak to survive on its own. |
AP08-EN014 Normal Monster Rhaimundos of the Red Sword EARTH | Warrior | Level 4 | ATK 1200 | DEF 1300 Armed with the Sword of Crimson Flames, this warrior can bind a monster with fiery restraints. (Common) Rating: 1 So he's armed with the "Sword of Crimson Flames" is he? Well clearly it's cooked him to the bone because his ATK and DEF are not going to make him a threat by any means. |
Astral Pack Seven (Spoiler) |
AP07-EN021 Fusion Monster Soul Hunter DARK | Fiend-Type Fusion | Level 6 | ATK 2200 | DEF 1800 "Lord of the Lamp" + "Invader from Another Dimension" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 He had a shot way back when Yu-Gi-Oh was in its infancy but not anymore because Fusion Monsters without effects stand no chance against the more current cards. |
AP07-EN014 Normal Monster Invader from a Different Dimension DARK | Fiend | Level 4 | ATK 950 | DEF 1400 An extraterrestrial monster that came from a distant galaxy. (Common) Rating: 1 He's come to the wrong dimension because his stats make him too weak to be around at all. |
Astral Pack Six (Spoiler) |
AP06-EN021 Fusion Monster Man-eating Black Shark WATER | Fish-Type Fusion | Level 5 | ATK 2100 | DEF 1300 "Sea Kamen" + "Gruesome Goo" + "Amazon of the Seas" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 The Sharknado movies had better sharks than this. |
AP06-EN015 Normal Monster Gruesome Goo WATER | Aqua | Level 3 | ATK 1300 | DEF 700 A slime boss that is definitely tougher than it looks. (Common) Rating: 1 Tougher than it looks and has those dismal stats? I don't think so. |
AP06-EN014 Normal Monster Sea Kamen WATER | Aqua | Level 4 | ATK 1100 | DEF 1300 A merciless monster that tears opponents to shreds with razor-like claws. (Common) Rating: 1 Lore that does not accurately represent the monster's true strength on the field because those stats indicate that this guy is the one to be shredded. |
Astral Pack Five (Spoiler) |
AP05-EN018 Fusion Monster Skelgon DARK | Zombie-Type Fusion | Level 6 | ATK 1700 | DEF 1900 "The Snake Hair" + "Blackland Fire Dragon" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 Nostalgia, which is the only reason why this card is being printed, VERY rarely wins duels and this card has everything to lose. |
Astral Pack Four (Spoiler) |
AP04-EN022 Fusion Monster Mavelus WIND | Winged Beast-Type Fusion | Level 4 | ATK 1300 | DEF 900 "Tyhone" + "Wings of Wicked Flame" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 A prized bird for those that have waited ages for its US release but nothing more than wasted space in my eyes. |
AP04-EN014 Normal Monster Wings of Wicked Flame FIRE | Pyro | Level 2 | ATK 700 | DEF 600 Crimson wings of fire make this a very lethal creature. (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 They would make it lethal if it had decent stats but instead, the only thing lethal is its rating. |
Astral Pack Three (Spoiler) |
AP03-EN021 Fusion Monster Kamionwizard DARK | Spellcaster-Type Fusion | Level 4 | ATK 1300 | DEF 1100 "Mystical Elf" + "Curtain of the Dark Ones" (Short Print Common) Rating: 1 Much like Curtain of the Dark Ones, this guy appeared with Johnson, Joey's opponent during the anime's Virtual World arc but much like Joey's opponent, this card is a big laughing stock with such dismal stats for the effort. |
AP03-EN014 Normal Monster Curtain of the Dark Ones DARK | Spellcaster | Level 2 | ATK 600 | DEF 500 A curtain that a spellcaster made, it is said to raise a dark power. (Common) Rating: 1 What "dark power" would this be, being the monster under the bed? Given his horrible stats, there's nothing scary about this monster at all. |
Astral Pack Two (Spoiler) |
AP02-EN018 Fusion Monster Barox DARK | Fiend-Type Fusion | Level 5 | ATK 1380 | DEF 1530 "Frenzied Panda" + "Ryu-Kishin" (Common) Rating: 1 It could've been a holofoil in the next Booster Pack but is still well past the era it should've been released in the US. |
Astral Pack One (Spoiler) |
AP01-EN019 Fusion Monster Mystical Sand EARTH | Rock-Type Fusion | Level 6 | ATK 2100 | DEF 1700 "Giant Soldier of Stone" + "Ancient Elf" (Common) Rating: 1 She should've been released a LONG time ago because we're well beyond crappy monsters like this. |
Champion Pack: Game Eight (Spoiler) |
CP08-EN012 Normal Monster Mushroom Man EARTH | Plant | Level 2 | ATK 800 | DEF 600 Found in humid regions, this creature attacks enemies with a lethal rain of poison spores. (Common) Rating: 1 Some mushrooms are indeed poisonous but this one is no where near so, unless it is found by the monsters as weak or weaker than he is. |
CP08-EN001 Effect Monster Gravity Behemoth DARK | Beast | Level 6 | ATK 2300 | DEF 2000 If it is not the first turn of the Duel and there are no cards on the field, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. You can destroy all Field Spell Cards on the field. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. (Ultra Rare) Rating: 1 This guy cannot defy the gravity that will put him in the garbage can with the help of disappointed expert duelists. |
