Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 51)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 70: The Wicked Spirit
Hollow Ghost
DARK / Zombie / Level 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 0
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Hollow Spirit". Each time a card(s) is sent to the Graveyard, inflict 600 damage to your opponent. If "Hollow Spirit" is not in your Graveyard, the ATK of this card becomes 0.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It's more than twice as strong as Hollow Spirit but its DEF is far weaker and it has a summoning requirement. regardless, it's so relient on you having Hollow Spirit in your Graveyard that should it ever leave there, this guy drains itself of its ATK. I can't even rate it higher from the damage effect.
Hollow Spirit
DARK / Zombie / Level 5 / ATK 1200 / DEF 1000
Once per turn, if there is a Zombie-Type monster in your Graveyard, you can inflict 800 damage to your opponent. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Hollow Ghost" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Its stats are half what they should be for its Level and other than that it offers minimal burn damage only if your Graveyard has another Zombie-Type monster in it or you can bring out its "upgrade", which is just as bad.
Circle of Terror
Anime Continuous Spell
Once per turn, the turn player can discard 1 Monster Card. If they do not, they cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters from their hand during that turn.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Add this card to the previous card and now Duels will become boring and pointless since you're left with Trap Cards that have to wait a turn for their activation, which is only going to drive away your audience and make you regret Dueling in the first place.
Circle of Life
Anime Continuous Spell
Once per turn, the turn player can discard 1 Spell Card. If they do not, they cannot activate Spell Cards from their hand during that turn.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Another lockdown card the likes of Misty Tredwell's Sad Story cards and that makes this just as unplayable as those cards since both players are forced to discard a Spell Card or play no Spell Cards that turn.
Episode 69: A Duel with Interest
Smile Angel
LIGHT / Fairy / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 300
Once per turn, if this card was Special Summoned by the effect of "Smile Kid", it cannot be destroyed by battle.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: While its effect is my own creation since it's unknown what it's true effect is, there's nothing to indicate it has a summoning requirement outside of speculation and thus its ATK and Level are ideal for use in your Deck.
Zero Hole
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only while you have no cards in your hand. Destroy all cards on the field.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Infernity Decks would abuse this card to no end as they rely entirely on having no cards in their hand but all other Decks wouldn't even consider using such a situational card and I'm sure Jack wouldn't have either if he had another option.
Compulsory Recoil Device
Anime Continuous Trap
You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard to select 1 monster you control, and return it to its owner's hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: You're just undoing what you'd done already and Jack's only purpose for this was to deplete his hand until he could activate 5Ds' version of Zero Hole.
Smile Kid
LIGHT / Fairy / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
You can discard 1 card to Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card you control is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "Smile Angel" from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Nothing to smile about with this card unless it's for ridicule because its stats and effect are both pathetic and Jack had to use this effect twice just to activate a situational card.
Illegal Business Practices
Anime Equip Spell
Once per turn, you can double the effect damage inflicted to your opponent by the equipped monster's effect.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Only certain monsters deal damage by their own effect but from those, this wouldn't be too bad to use with, though it's pretty situational.
Endless Loan
Anime Continuous Trap
Each time your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster(s), Special Summon 1 "Loan Token" (Rock-Type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to their side of the field in Defense Position. This Token cannot be Tributed. Your opponent can send 1 card from their hand to the Graveyard to destroy 1 "Loan Token" they control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Giving your opponent anything for free is always a bad idea, especially with very few restraints
Toichi the Nefarious Debt Collector
DARK / Fiend / Level 3 / ATK 800 / DEF 1300
You can only control 1 face-up "Toichi the Nefarious Debt Collector". While there is a "Loan Token" on the field, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, you can inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each "Loan Token" they control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The Loan Tokens provided by Nefarious Trader are free to be used for mostly anything and are in Defense Mode so you won't lose LP when they're destroyed in most cases. Pluse this guy is hardly a threat with only 800 ATK and 1300 DEF.
Nefarious Trader
DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
If your Life Points are lower than your opponent's, you can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up Attack Position. If this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Loan Token" (Rock-Type/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) to your opponent's side of the field in Defense Position. This Token cannot be Tributed. Your opponent can send 1 card from their hand to the Graveyard to destroy 1 "Loan Token" they control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Don Pierro made use of this with Upstart Goblin to raise Jack's LP but even when you do that, this is a horrible monster but it sure fits for someone as equally horrible as Don Pierro, whom expects you to give back even when you've only been given something for free.
Episode 68: Trash Talk
Junk Spirit
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a "Junk" monster you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard. During the End Phase, Special Summon that monster.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Time Machine is far superior to this given that it doesn't wait until the End Phase to bring back the monster.
Scrap-Iron Pitfall
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent Special Summons a monster. Return that monster to your opponent's hand and Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It's limited to Special Summons and doesn't negate Summon so the monster's effect still activates. You're better off with Black Horn of Heaven.
Scrap-Iron Barricade
Anime Counter Trap
Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Then, Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard. This turn, that monster cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It offers the affected monster protection from destruction by your opponent's card effects but then is reset where it cannot be used again. Still has minor uses though.
Junk Factory
Anime Field Spell
All "Junk" monsters gain 500 ATK. If a "Junk" monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can return that monster to the Deck instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Not many Junk monsters exist and most of those are literally junk cards that aren't worth it but for the select few that are, this isn't too bad.
Paternal Junk
EARTH / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1200
While you control a face-up "Maternal Junk", this card gains 500 ATK. While you control a face-up "Kid Junk", this card gains 1000 ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The boosts are nice but they require equally unplayable cards to get them and this guy doesn't do anything else so use Cyber Dragon, whom has a decent effect and already more ATK than this guy will likely ever get.
Maternal Junk
EARTH / Machine / Level 3 / ATK 300 / DEF 1500
Once per turn, if you control a face-up "Paternal Junk", you can add 1 "Kid Junk" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Talk about a junk card because it requires another monster just to fetch an even more pitiful monster that was never used in the Duel thanks to this guy's owner Mr. Bashford giving it away to his son.
Episode 67: Lessons Learned (Continued)
Tuner's Explosion
Anime Normal Trap
Tribute Tuner monsters you control equal to the number of monsters your opponent controls. Destroy all monsters your opponent controls, then inflict 1000 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It'll cost you multple tuners in most cases but if successful, it'll leave your opponent defenseless and down some serious LP.
Level Thunder
Anime Normal Spell
Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the combined Levels of all face-up monsters you control x 100.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: You'll need at least two monsters with high enough levels to make this worth activating because the damage will only lessen unless you have more than 2 monsters out.
