Speed Spell - Curse of Destiny
Anime Normal Speed Spell
Activate only while you have 2 or more Speed Counters. Select 1 face-up monster you control and place 2 Cursed Counters on it. Once per turn, you can remove 1 Cursed Counter from that monster to inflict damage to your opponent equal to half that monster's ATK. If you do, it cannot declare an attack during that turn.

Rating: 2
Comments: Depending on the ATK of the monster that got the Cursed Counters, this may not be too bad but it only deals half the ATK.
Episode 57: Destiny's Will (2)
Anti Emptiness
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card that would destroy a Spell or Trap Card on the field. Negate the activation of that card, and destroy it. The ATK of 1 face-up Attack Position monster you control becomes 0 until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It may get rid of the threat but it costs your Attack Position monster's ATK points, leaving it quite vulnerable. Curse of Royal and the like do the job better without downsides.
Episode 56: Destiny's Will (1)
Destiny Activator
Anime Continuous Spell
Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard. During each of your opponent's Draw Phases, check the card your opponent draws. If it was a card of the same type of the card you sent to the Graveyard (Monster, Spell or Trap), destroy this card and halve your opponent's Life Points.

Rating: 1
Comments: Since the card self-destructs when your opponent draws the same type of card you sent to the Grave to activate this, you'll only get to halve your opponent's LP once and that's only a 1 in 3 chance, which is too bad because the card's effect relies entirely on it being the same card and doesn't offer anything if it's not.

Wicked Trample
Anime Continuous Trap
Double any Battle Damage your opponent would receive, except from direct attacks.

Rating: 2
Comments: Most battle damage is minimal and thus won't mean much if it's doubled but with certain battle damage amounts, this isn't too bad.
Superior Protector
Anime Normal Trap
Equip this card to a monster you control. You take no Battle Damage from battles other than those that involve the equipped monster. During battle between an opponent's attacking monster and the equipped Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of the attacking monster, take Battle Damage equal to the difference. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, you can destroy this card instead.

Rating: 1
Comments: The only plus to using this is reducing battle damage to 0 as you're taking piercing battle damage if the opponent's monster has higher ATK than the equipped monster and destroying this would also take away the only benefit you get from this.
Brilliant Shrine Art
Anime Continuous Trap
Activate only while you control a face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster. When an opponent's monster declares an attack, you can switch the target to a face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster you control. When an "Earthbound Immortal" monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.

Rating: 2
Comments: Earthbound Immortals are powerful monsters and this makes the one you have the attack target continuously but all benefits from this are lost if you lose the Earthbound Immortal.
Burst Synchro Summon
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when you would take damage from an opponent's card effect. The damage you would receive becomes 0. Special Summon 1 Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck with ATK equal to the amount of damage you would have taken, ignoring the Summoning conditions. That monster's effect(s) is negated.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A 2-for-one deal in that you avoid the damage and get a potentially powerful Synchro Monster but that monster won't be able to use its effects and isn't Synchro Summoned properly so once it's off the field, you're not reviving it.
Baton of the Hero
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during your opponent's turn. During this turn, you select the targets of your opponent's attacks.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: We have this already in the form of Staunch Defender, though this can go further by allowing you to choose the attack target instead of forcing your opponent to attack one monster.
Synchro Striker Unit
Anime Normal Trap
Equip this card as an Equip Card to a face-up Synchro Monster you control. It gains 1000 ATK. During each of your End Phases, it loses 800 ATK.

Rating: 1
Comments: Basically a more strict version of Stim-Pack only it gives a slightly higher ATK boost and a much higher ATK loss but Axe of Despair gives the same ATK boost without the lost and can be recycled.
Episode 54: A Score to Settle (1)
Revival Ticket
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only at the end of your opponent's Battle Phase, if a monster you controlled was destroyed by battle. Destroy 1 card you control for each monster you controlled that was destroyed by battle this turn, and Special Summon those monsters. Then, gain Life Points equal to all Battle Damage you took this turn.

Rating: 1
Comments: You're losing far too much to make this worthwhile, even if you do basically get back the field and LP you had previously.
Episode 53: A Whale of a Ride (3)
Parasite Mind
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during your opponent's turn. Select 1 face-up Continuous Spell Card or Continuous Trap Card your opponent controls and activate its effect as this card's effect.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: There are some powerful Continuous Spell and Trap Cards but you don't see them too often and this is only a Normal Trap so it basically activates the effect for one turn.
Basara
Anime Continuous Trap
Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 monster to select 1 monster on the field whose Level is higher than the Tributed monster's and destroy it, then inflict 800 damage to its controller.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: There are better ways to get rid of threats than this, even if they don't deal the minimal burn damage as this card costs you a monster whether you succeed in the effect or not.
Contaminated Earth
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a Level 8 or higher monster and 1 or more other monsters you control are destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. This turn, that monster cannot attack or activate its effects.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Strict activation requirements and even then, the Earthbound Immortal cannot do anything once it's on the field, and that's only if there's a Field Spell out.
Episode 52: A Whale of a Ride (2)
Dark Tuner Doom Submarine
DARK / Machine-Type Dark Tuner / Level 9 / ATK 0 / DEF 300
Once per Duel, if this card is in your Graveyard and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon it in Attack Position.

Comments: A submarine that will sink in the sea of unplayability if it doesn't come with anything better to offer upon its card release.
Speed Spell - Angel Baton

Activate only while you have 2 or more Speed Counters. Draw 2 cards. Then, send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard.

Rating: 2
Comments: If we do get Speed Counters, this might see play, though not much play because its side-effect cannot be benefited from all that much and you'll need 2 Speed Counters first if Konami doesn't change the activation requirement.

DARK / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to switch the ATK and DEF of all face-up monsters on the field. If a monster is destroyed by battle, the ATK and DEF of all affected monsters are returned to normal at the End Phase.

Rating: 2
Comments: Its stats make it all the better idea to use its effect but that'll also revert its effect should a monster on the field get destroyed by battle.

Pain to Power
Anime Equip Spell
If you take Battle Damage, the equipped monster gains ATK equal to the total Battle Damage you take from battles involving other monsters you control during this turn, until the End Phase.

Rating: 1
Comments: The equipped monster won't gain much unless you're willing to take large amounts of damage, though if the attack fails, you're down LP and your monster's ATK boost will have been for nothing.
Respect Synchron
Anime Continuous Trap
Activate only when a Synchro Monster your opponent controls is sent to the Graveyard by your opponent's card effect. Special Summon that monster to your side of the field, ignoring the Summoning conditions. When that monster is removed from the field, destroy this card. When this card is removed from the the field, destroy that monster.

Rating: 2
Comments: You may get a powerful Synchro Monster but unless you can prevent its destruction, you won't likely have it for long.
Central Shield
Anime Equip Spell
If a monster you control is attacked, except the equipped monster, you take no Battle Damage from that battle. Your opponent cannot attack directly.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It'll spare your LP if your weaker monsters are attacked but while the opponent can't attack directly, there's nothing stopping them from destroying the equipped monster.
Cursed Prison
Anime Continuous Trap
Select and Special Summon 1 monster from your Extra Deck in Defense Position. That monster's battle position cannot be changed and its effect(s) is negated. When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Regardless of how powerful the Synchro monster you bring out with this is, it's pretty well useless considering it's forced to stay in Defense Mode without its effects and bites the dust if this card leaves the field. You can still use it for other means though.
