Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 41)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 154: Return of the Supreme King (2)
Neo Signal
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Neo-Spacian" monster from your hand or Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unlike Elemental HERO monsters, Neo-Spacian (and Destiny HERO monsters) tend to be weaker than the monster that was destroyed but they aren't all bad.
Zero Hole
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when an opponent's Effect Monster's effect activates when it is Summoned. Negate the effect, and destroy that monster.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: By Order of the Emperor can be this card's TCG counterpart and it won't just work against one monster. Plus it lets the owner draw 1 card, which is also more than this will offer.
Neospace Wave
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only when the number of "Neo-Spacian" monsters in your Deck is greater than the number of monsters you control. Send all monsters you control to the Graveyard. Then, Special Summon "Neo-Spacian" monsters from your Deck with ATK equal to half the ATK of the monsters sent to the Graveyard by this effect.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's pretty easy to activate but still risky to play because you're getting rid of the Neo-monsters you currently have to bring out Neo-Spacians that are less likely to be as strong as the monsters you lose.
Episode 153: Return of the Supreme King (1)
Zero Sprite
Anime Continuous Trap
Equip this card to a face-up monster you control. Its original ATK becomes 0. That monster can attack twice during each Battle Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Yubel used this on her card copy of herself but since she's already with 0 ATK and doesn't benefit you if she attacks, this card is worthless to us unless it gets a major buff.
Episode 152: The Power Within (2)
Thousand Buster
Anime Normal Trap
Pay 1000 Life Points. Destroy all face-up Defense Position monsters on the field with 1000 or less DEF, and all face-up Attack Position monsters on the field with 1000 or less ATK. Then, both players take 1000 damage.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: While some more powerful monsters like the Monarchs have 1000 or less DEF, you won't be taking that many monsters out and it will cost you basically 2000 LP in doing so.
Last Trick
Anime Normal Trap
If your opponent activates a Spell Card that would be sent to the Graveyard this turn, add that card to your hand instead.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: With some of the more powerful Spell Cards unbanned, this'd see play but it has to already be activated first so you won't be negating the activation.
Neospace Road
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when an "Elemental Hero Neos" you control is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard. End the Battle Phase. Then draw 1 card from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Neos isn't that hard to get out but the fact that this requires it does hurt its playability, even if it does end the Battle Phase and give you an extra card for losing him in battle.
Episode 151: The Power Within (1)
Advanced Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger
EARTH / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1000
This card's name is also treated as "Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger". If there is no face-up "Advanced Dark" on the field, destroy this card. If this card attacks an opponent's monster, it gains 400 ATK during the Damage Step only. If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The effects of the orginal were pretty sub-par at best but since this one doesn't get much worse, it'll get the same rating.
Advanced Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth
EARTH / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1700 / DEF 1600
This card's name is also treated as "Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth". If there is no face-up "Advanced Dark" on the field, destroy this card. When a face-up "Crystal Beast" monster you control is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to this card. If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Just like Advanced Cobalt Eagle, this card isn't really that advanced at all given that it's basically just a copy of the original with the exception of self-destruction if it is ever without Advanced Dark on the field.
Common Sacrifice
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during your Main Phase while your opponent controls 3 or more monsters. Send 2 monsters your opponent controls with the lowest ATK to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 Level 7 or higher monster from your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Those two monsters your opponent loses with this won't be their only two monsters but you get a potentially powerful monster free of charge.
Advanced Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle
WIND / Winged Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1400 / DEF 800
This card's name is also treated as "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle". If there is no face-up "Advanced Dark" on the field, destroy this card. Once per turn, you can return 1 face-up "Crystal Beast" card you control to the top of its owner's Deck. If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It's completely pointless to use, especially with our Advanced Dark not requiring these at all and the other effect just just copied from the original as are its stats.
Episode 150: The Ultimate Face-Off (2)
Crest Burn
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a "Royal Sword" you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Place Beacon Counters on a face-up "Fog Castle" you control equal to the number of Crest Counters that were on the destroyed card.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Since Fog Castle takes up space in your Monster Card Zones, this ends up being entirely pointless.
Nightmare Shuffle
Anime Continuous Spell
As long as this card is face-up on the field, you cannot check cards in the Graveyard. Select 1 random card in your Graveyard, and Set it in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. During your Standby Phase, swap the Set card with a random card in your Graveyard. The selected card Set by this card's effect cannot be activated unless you send this card to the Graveyard, during either player's turn. If the card's activation timing is incorrect, negate the effect, and send all cards in your hand and on your side of the field to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: I don't really see the point of using this when you're punished for doing so and only swap random cards in your Graveyard and using them requires you to be risky and may end up losing everything on your field and in your hand.
Akashic Record
Anime Normal Spell
Draw 2 cards and reveal them. If one or both of those cards have been played during the Duel, remove that card(s) from play.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: A bit risky but chances are, you'll get new cards and there's no activation cost to activate it.
Royal Sword
Anime Equip Spell
Equip only to "Fog King". If it battles, place 1 Crest Counter on this card at the end of the Battle Phase (max. 4). The equipped monster gains 800 ATK for each Crest Counter on this card. If there are 4 Crest Counters on this card, you can send the equipped monster to the Graveyard to inflict 4000 damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: You'll be waiting 4 turns to pull off the 4000 damage effect, which gives your opponent time to try and destroy this first but if they can't, it may cost them the Duel.
Fog Castle
Anime Field Spell
If a monster you control would be destroyed by battle, you can move that monster to another unused Monster Card Zone on your side of the field instead. If you do, place 1 Beacon Counter on this card (max. 5). For each Beacon Counter on this card, you cannot use 1 of your Monster Card Zones. If you have monster(s) in any Monster Card Zones you can't use, send any number of monsters you control to the Graveyard equal to or less than the number of Beacon Counters on this card. If there are 5 Beacon Counters on this card, you can send this face-up card and all cards in your hand to the Graveyard to select 4 cards in your Graveyard and add them to your hand. If you do, you cannot conduct your Battle Phase this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: In that giant wall of text, there's nothing to make this card useful because each time the effect is used, you're losing Monster Card Zones and even when you get rid of it, you lose much more than you gain, including your Battle Phase that turn.
Episode 149: The Ultimate Face-Off (1)
Dual Gate
Anime Normal Spell
Remove from play this face-up card and 1 "Dual Gate" from your Graveyard. Draw 2 cards.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Not that hard to activate, though getting the other copy in the Graveyard might be a challenge.
Eternal Reverse
Anime Equip Spell
Once per turn, you can select 1 face-up Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls, and Set it face-down. That Set card cannot be activated for the rest of this turn. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle, you can send this card to the Graveyard instead.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It basically gives you one turn without one of the threats being put against you but it's basically little more than a feeble stall card because you'll eventually end up having to choose between losing this card and losing your monster.
Delta Barrier
Anime Continuous Trap
After activation, place 2 "Delta Barrier" from your Graveyard face-up on your side of the field. Once per turn, if you would take Battle Damage while you control 3 "Delta Barrier" and a monster, you can activate this card's effect. If you do, you take no Battle Damage during the Damage Step only, and your monster cannot be destroyed by this battle.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unlike Triangle Farce, this actually has some uses outside of being used to bring out Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, though it's still not that good.
Triangle Force
Anime Continuous Spell
After activation, activate 2 "Triangle Force" directly from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It may make it easier to get the conditions for Summoning Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder but that's a pretty sad excuse to use three cards that as far as we know are generally pointless.
