Episode 153: Return of the Supreme King (1)

Still at the duel site, Jesse says he could be better and thanks Jaden for saving him. Jaden asks about this duel in oblivion but if it means a fight, then he's up for it. Yubel questions whether or not the Supreme King is the one talking, then invites Jaden to follow her if he dares. Not wanting to miss out on what's ahead, Jaden follows into the "portal". Inside, Jaden encounters more Memory Bubbles and Yubel adds her memories as well. Down below, Syrus and Ojama Yellow enter the "portal" as well and Jesse just says to let them go. While Syrus and Ojama Yellow encounter their first Memory Bubble and Chazz's spirit, Jaden and Yubel arrive at the top and begin their duel with Yubel playing Samsara Lotus (0000) in Attack Mode and setting 1 card face down. Then she plays Spell Chronicle, forcing her to remove from play 5 cards in her deck to end her turn. (The real card also forces you to discard all cards in your hand to the Grave.)

Jaden draws, thinking that he'll need all his monsters to pitch in to defeat Yubel. For his turn, he plays Polymerization for Elemental Hero Flame Wingman (2100) in Attack Mode and attacks, destroying SL and activating Yubel's TRAP Card (not Spell as stated from 11:12 to 11:14 and 11:19 into the episode) Sinister Seeds, Special Summoning Sinister Seed Tokens, one 1000 damage received and for every 500 damage (although not stated), they gain 500 ATK, putting 2 tokens on the field with 2000 ATK each and leaving her to take the remaining amount of Battle Damage to leave her score at 3900. (The real card brings out Sinister Seed Tokens with 100 ATK and DEF, one for every 500 damage you take but you have to take Battle Damage first.) Since Jaden activated a Spell Card, SC gets a Chronicle Counter. Yubel draws and tributes the tokens for Regenerating Rose (0000) in Attack Mode and its ATK becomes the ATK of the monster it attacks, putting its ATK at 2100 (not present on the real card's effect). However, Jaden activates De-Fusion to exchange EHFW for Elemental Hero Avian (1000) and Elemental Hero Burstinatrix (800) both in Defense Mode and RR doesn't gain any ATK since neither of the monsters are in Attack Mode (also not on the real card's effect). Once again, SC gets another counter and now Jaden gets to pick one of the cards Yubel removed. She has the Super Polymerization card (well duh, you stated that in the last episode as you stole it from Jaden but then I guess you mean you have your own copy of the card?). Not giving in to Yubel's hopes of the choice being Super Poly, Jaden chooses Zero Sprite and Yubel is disappointed but very patient and ends her turn.

Jaden plays Elemental Hero Sparkman (1600) in Attack Mode and gives it Spark Blaster. Next he uses SB's effect to put RR in Defense Mode, disabling its first effect. After taking it out in battle, RR's other effect is triggered to put 2 Rose Tokens, both with 1200 ATK in Attack Mode. Yubel sets 1 card face down, then tributes the tokens for herself, Yubel (0000) in Attack Mode and tells Jaden to be prepared for her fury. She attacks, triggering her effect that deals Jaden all Battle Damage, leaving him down to 2400. Since it's now the end of her turn, she must tribute a monster or she loses her self replica and at that moment, Samsara Lotus returns so she tributes that to end her turn. (The real Yubel card cannot inflict Battle Damage to the opponent unless she is attacked and the real Samsara Lotus card cannot come back if the controller has any Spell or Trap Cards on their field.) Jaden puts Sparkman into Defense Mode and sets 1 card face down. Yubel doesn't want Jaden to get boring on her and draws, attacking but Jaden activates Hero Barrier, negating all attacks Yubel has this turn (well actually it negates 1 attack). Needless to say, Yubel activates Zero Sprite, becoming an Equip Card to Yubel and lowering its ATK to 0 and letting it attack twice. (If this card were to exist this way in the CG, you wouldn't be able to use it as an Equip Card on a monster whose original ATK is already 0 like the case here.) With her 2nd attack, she attacks Sparkman, leaving Jaden down to 1000 Life Points.

Syrus appears from below, claiming to have seen Chazz and the other Ojamas trapped in these weird cosmic bubbles. He adds that Bastion might've also been right about needing to control the Supreme King's power. Jaden used to be afraid but not anymore. As he gains the Supreme King's power, he tells Yubel she's going down.
