Episode 149: The Ultimate Face-Off (1)
That evening, Syrus can't believe his brother is gone and Jaden decides to take on Yubel to avenge all his friends. The rest of his group decide to face whatever is beyond the door with him (though we know Yubel/Jesse is there) except for Bastion, whom wants to stay with Tanya, explaining where the rest of the gang are. Jaden and his partial group enter where YJ is residing, knowing rest isn't an option at the moment. He decides to enter and ride the elevator to the top where Adrian resides in his own chair. Adrian gets within feet of YJ and is commented on his arm changes since last they met. YJ correctly figures out Adrian's plans before the two have a brief power face-off, then initiate a duel. YJ begins the duel by activating Triangle Force, letting him also activate 2 more Triangle Force cards from his Deck. Then he sends them to the Grave for Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder (4000) in Attack Mode. Next he activates Hand Destruction, forcing both players to discard 4 cards, then draw 4 cards. (The real card only forces to discard and draw half that amount.) He sets 1 card to end his turn. Adrian draws, then uses his Ritual of the Ultimate Forbidden Lord card from the Grave to bring out Exodios the Ultimate Forbidden Lord (????) in Attack Mode and with 2 Exodia parts in the Grave, it has 2000 ATK (" "). Since it's not enough, Adrian activates Burdon of the Mighty, lowering all of YJ's monsters by 100 ATK for each star in the monsters' level, leaving Hamon down to 3000 ATK. Now that Exodios is getting ready to attack, Adrian puts another Exodia part in the Grave to put Exodios also at 3000 ATK but it can't be destroyed in battle. However, YJ activates three Delta Barrier Trap Cards and with them, Hamon also survives the attack. For his turn, YJ sends the Delta Barrier cards to the Grave for Uria, Lord of Searing Flames (0000) in Attack Mode and with 3 Trap Cards in the Grave, Uria has 3000 ATK. (They must be Continuous Trap Cards for the real card's effect.) Burdon would've affected Uria too but YJ equips Uria with Eternal Reverse and puts BoTM face down by its effect, which also saves Uria from destruction in battle by destroying itself instead. Using Uria's effect, he destroys the now face down BoTM, then attacks with Hamon, leaving Adrian at 3000 but still with Exodios. Adrian returns the favor by attacking Uria with Exodios, putting its ATK at 4000 and another Exodia part in the Grave but because of ER's effect, Uria survives yet YJ still takes Battle Damage to put his score even with Adrian's. YJ draws and removes from play his Duel Gate in hand and Grave to draw twice. Next he plays Illusion Brigadier (1100) in Attack Mode. (Phantom Skyblaster in the CG.) For the first part of its effect, YJ gets 2 Brigadier Tokens, one for each other monster he has. Then he uses IB's other effect to deal Adrian 300 damage for each Brigadier monster out, leaving Adrian down to 2100 LPs. (They're Skyblaster Tokens in the CG.) He tributes the Skyblaster monsters for Raviel, Lord of Phantasms (4000) in Attack Mode, then uses Dimension Fusion Destruction to bring out Chaos Phantasm Armityle (0000) in Attack Mode, which can't be destroyed in battle. Triggering CPA's effect, it moves to Adrian's field, can deal 10,000 Battle Damage to a monster and during the End Phase removes from play all other monsters before returning to its owners' side of the field. (The real card doesn't have any of these effects except being invincible in battle but in place of 10,000 Battle Damage, it gains 10,000 ATK during your turn.) Meanwhile, Jaden's group has arrived where Jaden feels is where Yubel and Jesse are.
