                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN099 | Xyz Monster
Traptrix Rafflesia
EARTH | Plant-Type Xyz |
Rank 4 | ATK 300 | DEF 2500
2 Level 4 monsters
This card is unaffected by Trap effects while it has Xyz Material. "Traptrix" monsters you control, except "Traptrix Rafflesia", cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Your opponent cannot target "Traptrix" monsters you control, except "Traptrix Rafflesia", with card effects. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card and send 1 "Hole" Normal Trap Card that meets its activation conditions from your Deck to the Graveyard; this effect becomes that Trap Card's effect when that card is activated.
(Secret Rare)

What's all the hype about? It can only grab "Hole" Trap Cards, isn't even protected by the last effect, and the first is only temporary.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN098 | Effect Monster
Arisen Gaia the Fierce Knight
DARK | Warrior | Level 7 | ATK 2300 | DEF 2100
If your opponent controls more monsters than you do, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. If this card is Tributed: You can Special Summon 1 "Black Luster Soldier" monster from your hand or Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Arisen Gaia the Fierce Knight" once per turn. When you Ritual Summon a "Black Luster Soldier" monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon.
(Rare)

Gaia has not evolved well over the years and this proves it. It only supports Black Luster Soldier monsters.

                               Rating: 3 | BOSH-EN097 | Effect Monster
Black Luster Soldier - Sacred Soldier
LIGHT | Warrior | Level 8 | ATK 3000 | DEF 2500
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 of your banished LIGHT or DARK monsters and 1 card your opponent controls; return that banished card to the Graveyard, and if you do, banish that card your opponent controls. You can only use this effect of "Black Luster Soldier - Sacred Soldier" once per turn. When this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle: You can target 1 Level 7 or lower Warrior-Type monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.
(Ultra Rare)

As with any other Beatstick like this, you'll be able to do a fair bit, even if that means just attacking with it.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN096 | Pendulum Monster
Dharma-Eye Magician
LIGHT
| Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 7 | ATK 2000 | DEF 2500 | Scale 2
Once per turn: You can reveal 1 Pendulum Monster from your hand, then target 1 "Magician" card in your Pendulum Zone; that target's Pendulum Scale becomes the same as the revealed Pendulum Monster's, until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field).

While this Pendulum Summoned card is on the field, "Magician" Pendulum Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects during the turn this card was Pendulum Summoned.
(Super Rare)

It can adjust Pendulum Scales but as a whole, it's limited to "Magician" Pendulum Monsters.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN095 | Effect Monster
Red-Eyes Retro Dragon
DARK | Dragon | Level 4 | ATK 1700 | DEF 1600
If a Level 7 or lower "Red-Eyes" monster(s) you control, except "Red-Eyes B. Chick", is destroyed by your opponent's attack or card effect and sent to your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position, and if you do, Special Summon as many of those destroyed monsters as possible in the same battle position they were in when destroyed. You can Tribute this card; you can Normal Summon 1 "Red-Eyes" monster during your Main Phase this turn, except "Red-Eyes B. Chick", in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)
(Super Rare)

There's little you could revive with the effect as few of the monsters are all that good. The 2nd effect doesn't help either.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN094 | Xyz Monster
Cyber Dragon Infinity
LIGHT | Machine-Type Xyz | Rank 6 | ATK 2100 | DEF 1600
3 Level 6 LIGHT Machine-Type monsters
Once per turn, you can also Xyz Summon "Cyber Dragon Infinity" by using "Cyber Dragon Nova" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) This card gains 200 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Attack Position monster on the field; attach it to this card as a face-up Xyz Material. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it.
(Secret Rare)

No need for a Rank-Up-Magic card but it's very hard to Summon, has poor effects and the same stats as the original.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN093 | Fusion Monster
Chimeratech Rampage Dragon
DARK | Machine-Type Fusion | Level 5 | ATK 2100 | DEF 1600
2 or more "Cyber Dragon" monsters
A Fusion Summon of this card can only be done with the above Fusion Materials. When this card is Fusion Summoned: You can target Spell/Trap Cards on the field, up to the number of Fusion Materials used for its Fusion Summon; destroy them. Once per turn: You can send up to 2 LIGHT Machine-Type monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, for each monster sent to the Graveyard, this card gains 1 additional attack during each Battle Phase this turn.
(Super Rare)

The extra attacks are useless since it doesn't gain any ATK at all and the original isn't even limited to Cyber Dragons.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN092 | Effect Monster
Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince
WATER | Sea Serpent | Level 1 | ATK 800 | DEF 0
You can send 1 "Atlantean" monster from your Deck to your Graveyard, except "Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince"; add 1 "Atlantean" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince". If this card is sent to the Graveyard to activate a WATER monster's effect: Target 1 "Atlantean" monster in your Graveyard, except "Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince"; Special Summon it. You can only use each effect of "Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince" once per turn.
(Ultra Rare)

No wonder Atlantis supposedly sank to the bottom of the ocean. These guys were clearly responsible.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN091 | Effect Monster
Fiendish Rhino Warrior
EARTH | Fiend | Level 3 | ATK 1400 | DEF 900
Fiend-Type monsters you control, except "Fiendish Rhino Warrior", cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can send 1 Fiend-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, except "Fiendish Rhino Warrior". You can only use this effect of "Fiendish Rhino Warrior" once per turn.
(Rare)

Fiends get their own variant of Armageddon Knight but DARK Decks already have him and far better cards.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN090 | Pendulum Monster
Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer
EARTH
| Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 4 | ATK 1500 | DEF 800 | Scale 2

If a "Performapal" monster(s) is Pendulum Summoned to your side of the field: All "Performapal" monsters you currently control gain 1000 ATK until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field).
If this card is Special Summoned: You can target up to 2 cards you control; destroy them, and if you do, add "Performapal" monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand, except "Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer", equal to the number of monsters destroyed. You can only use this effect of "Performapal Pendulum Sorcerer" once per turn.
(Secret Rare)

You certainly have your options with this but none of them make it worth being Secret Rare.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN089 | Spell Card
Interrupted Kaiju Slumber
Normal Spell
Destroy as many monsters on the field as possible, then Special Summon in Attack Position, 2 "Kaiju" monsters with different names from your Deck (1 on each side), but they cannot change their battle positions, and must attack, if able. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Kaiju" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Interrupted Kaiju Slumber" per turn.
(Super Rare)

It's Dark Hole but far worse because you're limited to Special Summoning or adding those mostly bad Kaiju monsters.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN088 | Effect Monster
Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju
LIGHT | Machine | Level 10 | ATK 3300 | DEF 2600
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets exactly 1 card (and no other cards): You can remove 3 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; negate that effect, and if you do, you can destroy 1 card on the field.
(Rare)

The ATK is very high but you can only control 1 Kaiju and aside from that, there's nothing good to make up for it.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN087 | Effect Monster
Gadarla, the Mystery Dust Kaiju
WIND | Insect | Level 8 | ATK 2700 | DEF 1600
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Attack Position, by Tributing 1 monster they control. If your opponent controls a "Kaiju" monster, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position. You can only control 1 "Kaiju" monster. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can remove 3 Kaiju Counters from anywhere on the field; the ATK and DEF of all other monsters on the field become halved.
(Rare)

The Wicked Dreadroot has more ATK and DEF and the ability to halve the ATK and DEF of monsters.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN086 | Trap Card
Kozmojo
Normal Trap
Target 1 "Kozmo" monster you control; destroy it, and if you do, banish 1 card your opponent controls or in their Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Kozmojo" per turn.
(Secret Rare)

That's a big waste of your own monster right there.

                               Rating: 3 | BOSH-EN085 | Effect Monster
Kozmo Dark Eclipser
DARK | Machine | Level 9 | ATK 3000 | DEF 2600
Cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects. During either player's turn, when a Trap Card is activated: You can banish 1 "Kozmo" monster from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 Level 8 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck to your hand.
(Secret Rare)

It's best used as a Beatstick because Kozmo Decks are pretty bad.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN084 | Effect Monster
Kozmo Delta Shuttle
DARK | Machine | Level 5 | ATK 2000 | DEF 2000
Once per turn: You can send 1 "Kozmo" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, then target 1 face-up monster on the field; it loses ATK and DEF equal to the sent monster's Level x 100. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Kozmo" monster from your Deck.
(Common)

Most of these guys are low Level so that's likely a maximum of 300 ATK and DEF lost, which is pathetic.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN083 | Effect Monster
Kozmo Soartroopers
DARK | Psychic | Level 3 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1000
During either player's turn: You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or higher "Kozmo" monster from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Kozmo Soartroopers" once per turn. Once per turn: You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 Psychic-Type "Kozmo" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
(Super Rare)

It's a reference to Star Wars' Storm Troopers, but they're not the threat Storm Troopers are. At least I can bring out Dark Eclipser.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN082 | Effect Monster
Kozmo Tincan
LIGHT | Psychic | Level 1 | ATK 0 | DEF 0
During either player's turn: You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 Level 2 or higher "Kozmo" monster from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Kozmo Tincan" once per turn. Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can pay 500 LP; reveal 3 "Kozmo" cards with different names from your Deck, your opponent randomly picks 1 for you to add to your hand, and you send the rest to the Graveyard.
(Ultra Rare)

Not many good options exist but of the ones that do, this isn't so bad.

                               Rating: 3 | BOSH-EN081 | Trap Card
Ultimate Providence
Counter Trap
When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated: Discard the same type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.
(Secret Rare)

It has the power of 3 Counter Traps in one and all you need to do is discard the matching card.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN080 | Trap Card
Bad Luck Blast
Normal Trap
Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; take damage equal to half its ATK, then inflict damage to your opponent, equal to the damage you took. If this card you control is destroyed by an opponent's card and sent to your Graveyard: Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. You can only activate 1 "Bad Luck Blast" per turn.
(Short Print Common)

If it weren't for the last effect, this card would've gotten my lowest rating but still isn't worthy of being short printed.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN079 | Trap Card
Solemn Strike
Counter Trap
When a monster(s) would be Special Summoned, or a monster effect is activated: Pay 1500 LP; negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card.
(Secret Rare)

1500 LP is quite the steap cost to negate 1 Special Summon or monster effect when we have better cards for both.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN078 | Trap Card
Forbidden Apocrypha
Normal Trap
Declare 1 Extra Deck monster card type (Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz); if 2 or more monsters of the declared type are on the field, make each player send all monsters of that type from their field to the Graveyard.
(Common)

A medicore anti-Extra Deck monster card at best.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN077 | Trap Card
Pendulum Reborn
Normal Trap
Special Summon 1 face-up Pendulum Monster from your Extra Deck, or 1 Pendulum Monster from your Graveyard.
(Rare)

It could even bring back Odd-Eyes Rebellion Dragon or any of the good D/D/D monsters but not much else is worth it.

                               Rating: 3 | BOSH-EN076 | Trap Card
Quaking Mirror Force
Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Change all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position. Monsters changed to face-down Defense Position by this effect cannot change their battle positions.
(Ultra Rare)

Even as a Trap, it outshines Book of Eclipse because this keeps them face-down for good.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN075 | Trap Card
Shiranui Style Swallow's Slash
Normal Trap
Tribute 1 Zombie-Type monster, then target 2 cards on the field; destroy them, then banish 1 "Shiranui" monster from your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Shiranui Style Swallow's Slash" per turn.
(Common)

You could get the same result with Trap of the Imperial Tomb and you wouldn't have to banish any Shiranui monsters either.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN074 | Trap Card
Majespecter Supercell
Continuous Trap
While you have a "Majespecter" card in your Pendulum Zone, the activation and effects of other "Majespecter" cards activated on your side of the field cannot be negated. Once per turn: You can target 5 "Majespecter" cards in your Graveyard; shuffle all 5 into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
(Super Rare)

Majespecters get a bit more protection, not to mention you can recycle other Majespecters and draw a card.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN073 | Trap Card
Dinomist Rush
Normal Trap
Special Summon 1 "Dinomist" monster from your Deck, and if you do, it is unaffected by other cards' effects, also destroy it during the End Phase. You can only activate 1 "Dinomist Rush" per turn.
(Common)

Not even the good options will help you here because your new monster won't be around very long whether you use it or not.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN072 | Trap Card
Destruction Sword Flash
Normal Trap
If you control a Fusion Monster that lists "Buster Blader" as Material: Banish all monsters your opponent controls. When a card or effect is activated that targets a "Buster Blader" monster(s) you control (except during the Damage Step): You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that card.
(Common)

At least Dark Paladin is worthwhile and is easier to Fusion Summon thanks to The Eye of Timaeus.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN071 | Trap Card
Reject Reborn
Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: End the Battle Phase, then you can Special Summon 1 Tuner monster and 1 Synchro Monster from your Graveyard, but their effects are negated.
(Rare)

I say reject this card immediately because of all the better ways to revive a monster(s).

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN070 | Trap Card
Follow Wing
Continuous Trap
Activate this card by targeting 1 Synchro Monster you control; it cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effects. At the start of the Damage Step, if it battles an opponent's Level 5 or higher monster: You can destroy that opponent's monster, and if you do, the targeted Synchro Monster gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the destroyed monster, until the end of this turn. When that monster leaves the field, destroy this card.
(Common)

Ally of Justice Catastor can get rid of pretty much anything before the Damage Step and we also have Safe Zone.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN069 | Spell Card
Dragon's Bind
Continuous Trap
Activate this card by targeting 1 Dragon-Type monster you control with 2500 or less ATK and DEF; neither player can Special Summon monsters with ATK less than or equal to the original ATK of that monster. When that monster leaves the field, destroy this card.
(Common)

Most of the good Dragons can't even be used with this so what's the point? It's not going to stop Blue-Eyes or Darkness Metal.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN068 | Spell Card
Mistaken Accusation
Quick-Play Spell
If your opponent has more total cards in their hand and their side of the field than you do: Target 1 face-up card on the field; neither player can activate cards with that name, or their effects, for the rest of this Duel, except that target. You can only activate 1 "Mistaken Accusation" per turn.
(Short Print Common)

It only blocks 1 card from being used and you're already at a disadvantage. Sangan should quit crying already.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN067 | Spell Card
Twin Twisters
Quick-Play Spell
Discard 1 card, then target up to 2 Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy them.
(Super Rare)

About as versatile as MST except that you have to discard a card to destroy twice as many cards that MST destroys.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN066 | Spell Card
Odd-Eyes Advent
Ritual Spell
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any Dragon-Type Ritual Monster from your hand or Graveyard. You must also Tribute Pendulum Monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. If your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and you control no monsters, you can also send "Odd-Eyes" monsters from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Odd-Eyes Advent" per turn.
(Rare)

I'd rather use Advanced Ritual Art over this because while it's limited to Normal Monsters, you have a lot more options.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN065 | Spell Card
Shiranui Style Synthesis
Field Spell
Once per turn, if you control no monsters: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, then activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 1 Zombie-Type monster with 0 DEF in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
● Target 1 of your banished Zombie-Type monsters with 0 DEF; return it to the Graveyard.
You can only activate 1 "Shiranui Style Synthesis" per turn.
(Common)

You could bring back Zombie Master, or if your opponent has Zombie World out, any monster with 0 DEF but that's about it.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN064 | Spell Card
Majespecter Sonics
Quick-Play Spell
Target 1 "Majespecter" monster you control; until the end of this turn, its ATK and DEF become double its current ATK and DEF, also any battle damage it inflicts to your opponent is halved.
(Common)

Halving the damage cancels out doubling a monster's ATK and DEF so it's useless.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN063 | Spell Card
Dinomist Charge
Continuous Spell
When this card is activated: Add 1 "Dinomist" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, if a "Dinomist" card(s) is added from the field to your Extra Deck face-up: Add 1 of those cards to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Dinomist Charge" per turn.
(Common)

Dinomists aren't all bad but they're mostly mediocre.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN062 | Spell Card
Dinomic Powerload
Field Spell
All "Dinomist" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK and DEF. If a "Dinomist" monster you control battles, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.
(Common)

The ATK boost won't help much but the other effect will, especially if it's the very first one in this set.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN061 | Spell Card
Draco Face-Off
Quick-Play Spell
Reveal 1 "Dracoslayer" Pendulum Monster and 1 "Dracoverlord" Pendulum Monster from your Deck, your opponent randomly picks 1 of them for you to place in your Pendulum Zone or Special Summon (your choice), and you add the other card to your Extra Deck face-up. You can only activate 1 "Draco Face-Off" per turn.
(Common)

You'll probably have to choose different monsters but they're not all that bad.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN060 | Spell Card
Karma of the Destruction Swordsman
Quick-Play Spell
Target up to 3 monsters of the same Type in your opponent's Graveyard; banish them, and if you do, 1 "Buster Blader" monster or 1 "Destruction Sword" monster you control gains 500 ATK and DEF for each of those banished monsters, until the end of this turn. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can discard 1 "Destruction Sword" card; add this card to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Karma of the Destruction Swordsman" once per turn.
(Common)

Your opponent only loses 3 monsters with same Type while you need a pretty bad monster that gets temporary ATK and DEF.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN059 | Spell Card
Destruction Swordsman Fusion
Quick-Play Spell
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster that lists "Buster Blader" as Material from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or either side of the field as Fusion Materials. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; add this card to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Destruction Swordsman Fusion" once per turn.
(Common)

Making variants of Polymerization is no good if they don't have better effects than the original.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN058 | Spell Card
Hi-Speed Re-Level
Normal Spell
Banish 1 "Speedroid" monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 Synchro Monster you control; until the end of this turn, change its Level to the banished monster's Level, and it gains ATK equal to that monster's Level x 500.
(Common)

Working on any Synchro doesn't change the fact that it doesn't keep any of the changes long and it's only for Speedroid Decks.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN057 | Spell Card
Pendulum Storm
Normal Spell
Destroy as many cards in each player's Pendulum Zones as possible, then you can destroy 1 Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls.
(Super Rare)

Pendulums get their own MST but regardless of whose Pendulums you destroy, they aren't in the Graveyard.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN056 | Spell Card
Performance Hurricane
Normal Spell
Target cards your opponent controls, up to the number of "Performapal" monsters you control; return them to the hand. You can only activate 1 "Performance Hurricane" per turn.
(Common)

Brionac can do this with ease and you don't need any Performapals, just cards in your hand.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN055 | Xyz Monster
Aegaion the Sea Castrum
WATER | Machine-Type Xyz |
Rank 8 | ATK ? | DEF 3000
2 Level 8 monsters
During either player's turn: You can banish 1 random face-down monster from your opponent's Extra Deck, face-up, and if you do, this card's ATK becomes equal to the banished monster's. During either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 of your opponent's banished Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Monsters; return it to the Extra Deck, and if you do, destroy 1 monster your opponent controls with the same monster card type (Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz). You can only use each effect of "Aegaion the Sea Castrum" once per turn.
(Common)

It can be pretty strong and will prevent your opponent from Summoning the Extra Deck monster, but the last effect isn't very good.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN054 | Synchro Monster
Shiranui Shogunsaga
FIRE | Zombie-Type Synchro | Level 8 | ATK 3000 | DEF 0
1 Zombie-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Zombie-Type monsters
If this card is Special Summoned: You can banish 1 Zombie-Type monster from your Graveyard; this card gains ATK equal to the banished monster's original ATK, until the end of this turn. If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 of your banished Zombie-Type monsters with 0 DEF; return it to the Graveyard. You can only Special Summon "Shiranui Shogunsaga(s)" once per turn.
(Rare)

Probably the best you'll get out of it is having it be a beatstick because that's literally all it's capable of doing, aside from returning 0 DEF Zombies to your Graveyard, which are few and far between, let alone ones that are any good.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN053 | Synchro Monster
Shiranui Samuraisaga
FIRE | Zombie-Type Synchro | Level 6 | ATK 2500 | DEF 0
1 Zombie-Type Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Zombie-Type monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 of your banished Zombie-Type monsters; shuffle it into the Deck, and if you do, change to Defense Position all monsters your opponent controls with ATK less than or equal to that monster's. If this card is banished: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; it loses 500 ATK. You can only Special Summon "Shiranui Samuraisaga(s)" once per turn.
(Common)

It's perhaps an okay substitute until you can obtain/bring out Archfiend Zombie Skull but it relies on banished Zombies to even get started, let alone drain an opponent's monster of 500 ATK, which is pretty well meaningless in today's metagame.

Buster Dragon
DARK | Dragon-Type Synchro | Level 8 | ATK 1200 | DEF 2800
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
All monsters your opponent controls become Dragon-Type. Once per turn, if you do not control a "Buster Blader" monster: You can target 1 "Buster Blader" in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. Once per turn, during your opponent's turn: You can target 1 "Buster Blader" monster you control; equip it with 1 "Destruction Sword" monster from your Graveyard (this is a Quick Effect).
(Ultra Rare)

It'll need to be in Defense Mode unless you can swap its ATK and DEF but you can get a Buster Blader to join you and it'll be powered up by at least 500 unless they're defenseless, not to mention you'll get to attach it with a used up Destruction Sword monster but both monsters have to be in the Graveyard for you to even get that far so otherwise, you'll just have this guy to defend your LP.

Goyo King
EARTH | Warrior-Type Synchro | Level 8 | ATK 2800 | DEF 2000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
When this card declares an attack on an opponent's monster: This card gains 400 ATK for each EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monster you control, until the end of the Damage Step. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can activate 1 of these effects;
● Special Summon that monster to your side of the field.
● Take control of 1 face-up monster your opponent controls.
(Rare)

This one will let you choose the monster you take and that can really help, especially since that monster can be an Xyz Monster too, giving you access to that monster's effects and which ever you choose you get to keep but apart from that, it doesn't get stronger for long and will likely not gain much ATK anyway.

Goyo Defender
EARTH | Warrior-Type Synchro | Level 3 | ATK 1000 | DEF 1000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn, if all monsters you control are EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monsters (min 1.): You can Special Summon "Goyo Defender" from your Extra Deck. When this card is targeted for an attack: You can make this card gain 1000 ATK for each EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monster you control (other than this card), until the end of the Damage Step.
(Rare)

This should've been Common because it asks for Warrior-Type Synchros regardless of which effect you use and it's a flimsy monster with only 1000 ATK and DEF.

Hi-Speedroid Hagoita
WIND | Machine-Type Synchro | Level 5 | ATK 2000 | DEF 1000

During either player's turn: You can Tribute this card; increase the Levels of all monsters currently on the field by 1, until the end of this turn. If this card is in your Graveyard and you control a "Speedroid" Tuner monster: You can Special Summon this card, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except WIND monsters. You can only use this effect of "Hi-Speedroid Hagoita" once per turn.
(Rare)

Not very strong for needing 2 monsters and Tributing it to raise all monsters' Levels by 1 isn't any better but you can at least revive it by controlling a Speedroid Tuner, though I don't recall any good ones being released yet.

EARTH | Machine-Type Synchro | Level 9 | ATK 1900 | DEF 2500

This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If it does, apply its DEF for damage calculation. If you have no Spell/Trap Cards in your Graveyard, this card gains 900 DEF for each Special Summoned monster your opponent controls.
(Rare)

Sad thing is, Big Ben Kei is actually better because you can search it out with Giant Rat and Sangan and it has higher DEF, which means higher damage, and this guy also despises Spells and Traps in your Graveyard because he needs your Graveyard to be void of them to gain the DEF boost.

Enlightenment Paladin
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Synchro | Level 8 | ATK 2500 | DEF 2000

If this card is Synchro Summoned using a "Magician" Pendulum Monster as Material: You can target 1 Spell Card in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Enlightenment Paladin" once per turn. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's original ATK.
(Ultra Rare)

You'll get a bonus effect if a Magician Pendulum Monster is one of this guy's Synchro Materials but other than that, it's barely a stronger Flame Wingman.

Dinoster Power, the Mighty Dracoslayer
WATER | Dragon-Type Fusion | Level 8 | ATK 2000 | DEF 2950
1 "Dracoslayer" Pendulum Monster + 1 Pendulum Monster
Must first be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by Tributing the above cards. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Pendulum Monster Cards in your Monster Zones and Pendulum Zones cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effects. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 "Dracoslayer" Pendulum Monster from your hand or Graveyard, but it cannot be used as a Fusion Material.
(Rare)

Somewhat easy to bring out and it protects your Pendulum Monsters from destruction, especially with 2950 DEF but there's nothing protecting itself and whatever you Special Summon with its effect isn't going to be Fusion Material.

Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman
LIGHT | Warrior-Type Fusion | Level 8 | ATK 2800 | DEF 2500
1 "Buster Blader" + 1 Dragon-Type monster
Must be Fusion Summoned and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot attack directly. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each Dragon-Type monster your opponent controls or is in their Graveyard. Change all Dragon-Type monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position, also Dragon-Type monsters in your opponent's possession cannot activate their effects. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
(Secret Rare)

Seems like a powerhouse and can be but it's unable to attack directly at all and unless you use DNA Surgery, you won't likely be forcing many Dragons to Defense Mode, though at least the last effect isn't all that bad.

Goyo Emperor
EARTH | Warrior-Type Fusion | Level 10 | ATK 3300 | DEF 2500
2 EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monsters
When this card, or a monster you control that is owned by your opponent, destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon that monster to your side of the field. When your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), except during the Damage Step: You can Tribute 1 EARTH Warrior-Type Synchro Monster; take control of that monster(s). If this face-up card leaves the field: Return control of all monsters you control to the owner.
(Rare)

I was on the verge of giving this "emperor" two stars but when I read that last line of text, I dropped off a star because you need two very specific Fusion Materials just to bring it out and with Goyo Guardian now legal for tournaments again and being MUCH easier to bring out to achieve the same goal, I don't see why you'd need to waste Extra Deck space with this.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN043 | Ritual Monster
Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon
EARTH | Dragon-Type Ritual | Level 7 | ATK 2800 | DEF 2500
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Odd-Eyes Advent". When this card is Special Summoned: You can return all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls to the hand. Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect's activation. You can only use this effect of "Odd-Eyes Gravity Dragon" once per turn. Your opponent must pay 500 LP to activate card effects.
(Ultra Rare)

Once it hits the field via Ritual Summon, your opponent will lose their Spell and Trap surprises or current hold on the Duel and this'll force them to pay LP whenever they want to use an effect but all it takes is that small fee to potentially destroy this card.

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if this card was activated this turn: You can choose 1 unused Monster Zone or Spell & Trap Zone; while this card is in the Pendulum Zone, that chosen Zone cannot be used.

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can choose 1 unused Monster Zone or Spell & Trap Zone; while this card is face-up in the Monster Zone, that Zone cannot be used.
(Short Print Common)

This one I don't even remotely see why it's short printed when cards before it clog more card zones and aren't short printed. Sure they may not be Monster Cards but I don't see why that makes a difference because Monster Cards are just as easy to destroy as Spells and Traps.

                               Rating: 3 | BOSH-EN041 | Effect Monster
Engraver of the Mark
DARK | Spellcaster | Level 4 | ATK 1800 | DEF 1200
During either player's turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect by declaring exactly 1 card name: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; declare 1 other card name. The card name your opponent declared becomes the card name declared by this effect. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy it during the End Phase of the next turn.
(Short Print Common)

This card's rarity most likely stems for being able to destroy a monster each turn, though it's pretty slow compared to other monster destruction effects. It also has at least enough ATK and DEF to be used on its own and no side-effects to boot.

● You do not discard to activate Counter Trap Cards.

If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can reveal 3 Counter Trap Cards from your Deck, your opponent chooses 1 for you to add to your hand, and you shuffle the rest back into your Deck.
(Super Rare)

You're better off using it as a Pendulum Monster so you can take advantage of its low scale and making all Counter Trap Cards void of activation fees because getting one of three Counter Traps won't save you from their fees.

● Shuffle 1 card from your opponent's hand (at random) or their side of the field into the Deck, then this card gains 100 ATK.
(Super Rare)

This is heaps better than all prior Dinomist monsters because its ATK rivals the likes of Jinzo, Luster Dragon #2 and Zaborg the Thunder Monarch but none of those guys are Pendulum Monsters so even though this guy's effects aren't all that good, he's still a very nice candidate for your Deck, beit WATER, Machine, Dinomist or even Beatstick.

Much like Wizard Buster Destruction Sword, this guy will add to your opponent's pain if combined with other Destruciton Sword monsters but apart from that, giving it a temporary ATK boost isn't worth removing that restraint.

If combined with Buster Destruction Sword, this'll further limit your opponent's options but it's not a Tuner and won't help you all that much since sending itself while equipped is going to allow your opponent to counter equipping the retrieved Destruction Sword monster.

It's in the same rarity as its cousin from back when Pharaoh's Servant released but has traded ATK gain for an ability to arm itself with an opponent's destroyed monster or send its attached monster to the Graveyard and rid your opponent's field of their monsters matching the sent monster's Type but it isn't really that great overall because even the original is more likely to take this guy out. The only saving grace is that it counts as Buster Blader while on the field or in the Graveyard.

If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, or if this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to your Graveyard: You can add 1 "Ninja" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Twilight Ninja Shingetsu". You can only use this effect of "Twilight Ninja Shingetsu" once per turn.
(Common)

Not all that many Ninja monsters are any good so even if this guy is destroyed, you'll only have a few options to pick from.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN014 | Effect Monster
Blackwing - Harmattan the Dust
DARK | Winged Beast | Level 2 | ATK 800 | DEF 800
If you control a "Blackwing" monster other than "Blackwing - Harmattan the Dust", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon "Blackwing - Harmattan the Dust" once per turn this way. When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 other "Blackwing" monster you control; increase this card's Level by that monster's.
(Common)

It's really only good for Synchro or Xyz Summoning with the latter being the better choice as this guy isn't a Tuner monster and is otherwise pretty weak.

Score the Melodious Diva
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 2 | ATK 200 | DEF 200
During damage calculation (in either player's turn), if a "Melodious" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change that opponent's monster's ATK and DEF to 0, until the end of this turn.
(Common)

                                        Rating: 3
Playing her as a Monster Card is pointless since her ATK and DEF are too low, unless you're desperate enough to get a Tribute Summon underway and by discarding her, you'll basically have a second Honest and you can even apply the effect if by chance you do need her on the field and have a 2nd copy in your hand.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN012 | Effect Monster
Solo the Melodious Songstress
LIGHT | Fairy | Level 4 | ATK 1600 | DEF 1000
If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Melodious" monster from your Deck, except "Solo the Melodious Songstress".
(Common)

Of course, you could also use Photon Lead to Special Summon her but you may not want her in Attack Mode or have PL in your hand and when she's beaten you get to replace her with a potentially stronger monster like Mozarta.

                               Rating: 1 | BOSH-EN011 | Pendulum Monster
Superheavy Samurai General Coral
EARTH | Machine-Type Pendulum | Level 1 | ATK 300 | DEF 500 | Scale 8
While you have a Spell/Trap Card(s) in your Graveyard, this card's Pendulum Scale becomes 4. Once per turn, when a "Superheavy Samurai" monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can activate this effect; that monster can make a second attack in a row (even if this card leaves the field).
If you have no Spell/Trap Cards in your Graveyard: You can Tribute up to 2 "Superheavy Samurai" monsters; draw that many cards. You can only use this effect of "Superheavy Samurai General Coral" once per turn.
(Common)

Where it lacks Archetype Bias, it makes up for that in both effects by either lowering its Pendulum Scale if your Graveyard has any Spell/Trap Cards or requiring you to have none so that you can weaken your defenses and draw up to 2 cards.

Superheavy Samurai General Jade
EARTH | Machine-Type Pendulum | Level 8 | ATK 1800 | DEF 2800 | Scale 1
You cannot Pendulum Summon monsters, except "Superheavy Samurai" monsters. This effect cannot be negated.
Once per turn: You can target 1 "Superheavy Samurai" monster you control; increase its Level by 1 (even if this card leaves the field).
You can Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 "Superheavy Samurai" monster. When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can change its battle position. This card can attack while in face-up Defense Position. If it does, apply its DEF for damage calculation.
(Common)

Unlike other Pendulum Monsters with Archetype Bias, this card has a bonus pendulum effect that, while not much, you can use on its friends. As a Monster Card, you don't have to waste 2 Tributes and it comes pre-packaged with the abilities to attack while in Defense Mode and apply its DEF.

Superheavy Samurai Prepped Defense
EARTH | Machine | Level 3 | ATK 100 | DEF 2100
Cannot be Normal or Flip Summoned, if you have any Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard. When you take battle damage, if you have no Spell/Trap Cards in your Graveyard and this card is in your hand: You can Special Summon this card, and if you do, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects this turn.
(Common)

Higher DEF than Magnet and you wouldn't want to Normal Summon or Flip Summon it anyway with its 100 ATK but at the same time, the other effect isn't all that great either, even if it protects itself from destruction for a turn, especially since you don't regain the battle damage you took.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN008 | Effect Monster
Superheavy Samurai Magnet
EARTH | Machine | Level 4 | ATK 900 | DEF 1900
When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Superheavy Samurai" monster from your hand, then change this card to Defense Position. Monsters your opponent controls cannot attack any monsters, except this one.
(Common)

It'll last at least one turn on the field just on its own, and if you get one of its friends to help you, you could then Xyz Summon or even Tribute Summon if you manage to activate Double Summon, though it only brings out Level 4 or lower Superheavy Samurais.

Performapal Trump Girl
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 2 | ATK 200 | DEF 200 | Scale 4
No Pendulum Text
Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Materials, including this card. If this card in the Pendulum Zone is destroyed: You can target 1 Dragon-Type Fusion Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, but destroy it during the End Phase.
(Common)

Oh goodie, another Fusion Summon monster that needs itself to be one of the Fusion Materials and if it weren't for the other effect and its status as a Pendulum Monster, its rating would be cut in half.

Performapal Rain Goat
WATER | Beast | Level 1 | ATK 0 | DEF 0
During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage to you: You can discard this card; make that effect damage to you 0. During either player's Main Phase: You can discard this card, then target 1 "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyes" card you control; this turn, it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects.
(Common)

At first glance, it seems like a monster whose effect is already present on other monsters but it also can protect another copy of itself, or its friends from destruction for a turn and those are better than actually Summoning/Setting this card.

Performapal Bit Bite Turtle
WATER | Reptile-Type Pendulum | Level 3 | ATK 800 | DEF 1200 | Scale 3
Once per turn: You can reveal 1 "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyes" monster in your hand, and if you do, reduce the Levels of monsters in your hand with that name by 1 for the rest of this turn (even after they are Summoned/Set, and even if this card leaves the field).
When this card is destroyed by battle: You can destroy the monster that destroyed it.
(Common)

Much like Timebreaker Magician, this guy is only getting 2 stars because its's a Pendulum Monster with no drawbacks because everything else doesn't do a lot to help it or you.

Performapal Guitartle
WATER | Aqua-Type Pendulum | Level 1 | ATK 300 | DEF 400 | Scale 6
If a "Performapal" card is activated in your other Pendulum Zone: You can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Performapal Guitartle" once per turn.
Once per turn: You can target 1 card in your Pendulum Zone; increase its Pendulum Scale by 2 until the end of this turn.
(Rare)

If nothing else, you can just keep refilling your other Pendulum Zone with Performapals each turn and thus keep drawing cards, though the other effect might help you out a bit.

Performapal Monkeyboard
EARTH | Beast-Type Pendulum | Level 6 | ATK 1000 | DEF 2400 | Scale 1
Unless you have a "Performapal" card in your other Pendulum Zone, this card's Pendulum Scale becomes 4. During your Main Phase, if this card was activated this turn: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower "Performapal" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Performapal Monkeyboard" once per turn.
You can discard this card; reveal 1 "Performapal" or "Odd-Eyes" monster in your hand, and if you do, reduce the Levels of monsters in your hand with that name by 1 for the rest of this turn (even after they are Summoned/Set).
(Common)

Thanks to its Pendulum Text's first line, you'll only hurt your chances to Pendulum Summon unless this guy has one of its friend in your other Pendulum Zone but either way, you'll get one of its friends to join it later, though even that doesn't offset its poor Level 6 stats and other effect.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN002 | Pendulum Monster
Timebreaker Magician
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Pendulum | Level 3 | ATK 1400 | DEF 0 | Scale 2
Each turn, the first Pendulum Monster(s) you control that would be destroyed by an opponent's card effect, is not destroyed.
When this card is Pendulum Summoned from the hand (and no other cards are Pendulum Summoned at the same time): You can make this card's ATK become double its original ATK. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field; banish both it and this card from the field, but return them in your next Standby Phase.
(Rare)

Its status as a mediocre Pendulum Monster without drawbacks is just enough to put his rating at 2 stars but it won't get any further thanks to everything else he has to offer.

                               Rating: 2 | BOSH-EN001 | Effect Monster
Tuning Magician
DARK | Spellcaster-Type Tuner | Level 1 | ATK 0 | DEF 0
If you have 2 "Magician" cards in your Pendulum Zones, while this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Tuning Magician" once per turn. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Your opponent gains 400 LP, then you take 400 damage.
(Super Rare)

It's really little more than a mediocre Tuner monster because activating its first effect requres your Pendulum Zones to be occupied by Magician Pendulums and even when you do, you'll have to get her back once she's banished. Her second effect is downright pitiful because although it's not much, you're hurting yourself and giving your opponent free LP.

Steel Cavalry of Dinon
EARTH | Dinosaur-Type Pendulum | Level 4 | ATK 1600 | DEF 2600 | Scale 5
No Pendulum Text
At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a Pendulum Monster: This card's ATK and DEF become half its current ATK and DEF until the end of the Damage Step.
(Rare)

It's pretty weak and although Pendulum Monsters do appear, they mostly appear as their Spell Card selves so this guy isn't going to get to battle all that many and even if it does, it has only 1600 ATK to attack with and most regular monsters can take it out with ease, leaving its 2600 DEF your best option if you choose to use this.
