Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 2)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 86: Awakening of Evil (1)
Eye of Udjat
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Change the attack target to a monster your opponent controls, except the attacking monster.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Literally the same thing as Magical Arm Shield except for the name and artwork.
Episode 82: The Dark Spirit Revealed (1)
Dark Sanctuary
Anime Field Spell
Activate only when a face-up "Dark Necrofear" you control is destroyed. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls. If your opponent attacks with that monster, negate the attack and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half that monster's ATK and you gain Life Points equal to that amount. You can use your Monster Card Zones as Spell and Trap Card Zones. During each of your End Phases, Tribute 1 monster or destroy this card.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Dark Necrofear is subpar in itself and since Dark Spirit of the Silent was already designed to be the TCG version of this card, there's little hope of this card getting released but if it does, it'll have to do better than this.
Episode 80: Lights, Camera, Duel!
Grave Arm
Anime Normal Spell
Select 1 monster on the field and send it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 4
Comments: It gets around even big threats like Stardust Dragon, Star Eater and most Xyz Monsters!
Great Kite of Ninja
Anime Equip Spell
Equip only to "Ninja Master Shogun". It cannot be selected as an attack target and is unaffected by other Spell Cards. You can Tribute 1 "Ninja" monster you control to have the equipped monster attack your opponent directly.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Don't waste your Deck Space with this card if it ever gets released like this because since Ninja Master Shogun is bad as is, so is this.
Ninja Smoke Ball
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent attacks a face-up "Ninja" monster you control. Negate the attack.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: There are far better ways to stop attacks from opponent's monsters even outside Ninja Decks with cards like Negate Attack and Draining Shield.
Kunoichi Ayame the Ninja Girl
WATER / Warrior / Level 2 / ATK 300 / DEF 300
The latest Ninja in the fleet. Her skills are still developing.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: If Ninja Soldier Katana wasn't going to be rated higher than 1, neither is this reject of a Ninja.
Ninja Commander Kabuki
EARTH / Warrior / Level 3 / ATK 700 / DEF 700
Once per turn, if you control this face-up Attack Position card, you can Special Summon 1 "Ninja' monster from your hand or Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Same as Ninja Commander Ikusa's comments.
Ninja Master Shogun
DARK / Warrior / Level 5 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1600
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except when there is a "Ninja Commander Ikusa" and 1 "Ninja Solder Katana" in your Graveyard. When you Summon this card, you can Special Summon 2 "Ninja" monsters from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Using this requires you to have two mediocre Ninja monsters in your Graveyard and while you can bring out any 2 Ninja monsters from your Deck, most of them aren't all that good and you could run them without this or those weak Ninjas anyway, not to mention this guy is weaker than even Strike Ninja (1700 ATK).
Ninja Soldier Katana
EARTH / Warrior / Level 3 / ATK 400 / DEF 400
A soldier working to learn the art of the Ninjas. She struggles to get the basics down to memory.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Even the bad Ninja monsters out there in the TCG do not compare to how bad this one is.
Ninja Commander Ikusa
DARK / Warrior / Level 3 / ATK 700  / DEF 700
Once per turn, if you control this face-up Attack Position card, you can Special Summon 1 "Ninja' monster from your hand or Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unlike in the anime, where there are few Ninjas to choose from, bad or good, the TCG has plenty to choose from so this would get some use.
Episode 79: Shadow of a Duel
Spiritualistic Medium
Anime Normal Spell
Select 1 monster you control. It gains 500 ATK for each card destroyed and sent to your Graveyard this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Although Bakura doubled the ATK of his monster, he randomly discarded his cards and you won't be that lucky, especially since Card Destruction is banned.
Episode 76: Friends 'Till the End (2)
Attrition
Anime Continuous Spell
When two monsters battle and are not destroyed, the attack target loses ATK equal to the attacking monster's ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: There are ways to prevent both monsters' destruction in battle and your opponent's monster will be weaker as a result but there are ways of weakening your opponent's monster without this.
Episode 73: Double Duel (4)
Masquerade
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only during a Tag-Team Duel. Select 1 monster your partner controls and take control of it until the end of the turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Tag-Team duels are pretty rare these days so the chances of this card getting released are slim enough as it is but this'll need a buff if it's to have any hopes of being used once released.
Episode 71: Double Duel (2)
Spell Transfer
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only when your opponent activates a Spell Card that targets a player's Life Points with a card effect. Switch the effect to the other player.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's a bit better than Curse Transfer as it's a Spell Card but it doesn't have that many more uses nonetheless.
Curse Transfer
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent activates a Trap Card that designates 1 monster on the field as a target. Switch the effect to another monster on the field.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's practically the same card as Trap Displacement used by Pegasus so it has practically the same uses.
Episode 70: Double Duel (1)
Masked Doll
Anime Continuous Spell
You do not have to pay Life Points to keep Spell Cards in play as part of their cost.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Cards with LP costs are pretty rare as they're usually in the form of discarding or not meeting the requirement but if by chance this got released and thus LP costs could be ignored, it'd have its uses.
Episode 65: Mime Control (1)
Quick Attack
Anime Normal Spell
Select 1 face-up Fusion Monster you control. It can attack during the same turn it was Fusion Summoned.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Even if it could attack during the first turn of the Duel, it's still not good enough because even though it could create an OTK, you're using lots of resources to do it and besides, this was only made to counteract a rule in the anime where Fusion Summoned monsters couldn't attack the same turn they were Fusion Summoned but since they can in the CG outside the very first turn, this card is utterly pointless.
Episode 64: Playing with a Parasite (2)
Soldier Ant
EARTH / Insect / Level 3 / ATK 500 / DEF 1200
An ant that turned vicious as a result of spontaneous mutation. Its body is relatively stiff and durable.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Literally as weak as Swordsman of Landstar so it's hypocritical for Weevil make fun of Joey's Swordsman of Landstar because only the name and type are different but it's still the same pitiful excuse of a monster.
Episode 63: Playing with a Parasite (1)
Reckless Parasite
Anime Continuous Spell
Special Summon 1 "Parasite Paracide" from your opponent's Deck to their side of the field in face-up Attack Position. Monsters your opponent controls that become Insect-Type monsters from "Parasite Paracide's" effect cannot be Tributed.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The chances of your opponent actually using the card are pretty slim, which is probably why Weevil Underwood did it and even then, Parasite Paracide can be Tributed and/or powered up like Joey Wheeler did.
Episode 62: The Master of Magicians (3)
Shadow Balance
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent Summons a monster(s), and controls more monsters than you. Destroy monsters your opponent controls until both you and your opponent control the same number of monsters.
COMMON
Rating: 4
Comments: Much better than the reject Pineapple Blast that we got as probably a substitute because this card only cares that your opponent Summons and controls more monsters, making this really easy to activate.
