Episode 73: Double Duel (4)

Lumis has just brought out Masked Beast Des Gardius and now must choose whether to finish off Yami or take down Kaiba's Blue-Eyes. Eventually, Lumis decides to attack Kaiba's Blue-Eyes but this proves to be a big mistake. Yami brings out the final piece to unlock his even more powerful monster and takes down Des Gardius, despite his fear of what Des Gardius could do as a result of being destroyed. It's what Lumis and Umbra wanted as they now gain control of Valkyrion but Yami blocks the attack with a Spell Card and provides the necessary Tributes for Kaiba's God Card. Umbra is taken out completely but saves his fall with his parachute. With little else to Duel with, Lumis ends up basically forfeiting the Duel before Marik takes over his mind.  With 6 Locator Cards each, the duo head out by helicopter to rescue Yami's friends from Marik's control.
