Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 36)
*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 125: Triple Play (2)
Silent Space Activate only from your hand during your opponent's turn, while "Silent Pain" is in your Graveyard. Remove this card from play to select 1 monster your opponent controls, and destroy it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Silence this card forever and find a better alternative. |
Silent Pain Anime Normal Spell During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, if this is the only card in your Graveyard, destroy all monsters your opponent controls and inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | The effect may be powerful but it's much too slow and situational to be of any use since it won't be long before it's not the only card in your Graveyard. Plus the owner had to give up turns just to get it there. |
Episode 124: Triple Play (1)
Anchor Knight When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position. Up to 3 times per turn, you can discard 1 card to inflict 600 damage to your opponent. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | You'll lose cards from your hand whether you use the main effect or the revival effect, though the revival effect is less costly. |
Rough Exploder FIRE / Pyro / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 If you control a face-up "Fool Clown", you can remove from play this card from your Graveyard to inflict 500 damage to your opponent. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It's even worse than I thought, though the effect more clearly explains why the owner chose to play Fool Clown first. Nevertheless, it's nothing short of a total failure. |
Fool Clown DARK / Spellcaster / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 When this card is Summoned, send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Its Level sums up its rating while its stats sum up its playability. Don't be the fool that uses this card. |
Episode 123: School Ghoul Duels
Bonfire Anime Normal Spell Add 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE monster from your Deck to your hand. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | There are plenty of decent and great FIRE monsters to search with this effect and even Archetype specific Decks like Fire Fist will make use of this. |
Episode 121: Sub-Desert Duel
Sand Doodlebug EARTH / Insect / Level 4 / ATK 1200 / DEF 800 During each player's End Phase, destroy 1 Level 3 or lower monster on the field. This card can attack your opponent directly. While "Wasteland" is face-up on the field, you can negate 1 attack from an opponent's monster. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It's weak, has a manditory destructon of Level 3 or lower monsters and requires a Field Spell no one uses to negate attacks. |
Episode 116: Trapper Keeper (2)
GEM Burst Anime Normal Spell Remove from play 1 "G Force", "E Force", and "M Force" from your Graveyard. Place as many "Crystal Beast" monsters from your hand as possible, face-up, in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. Then, inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each "Crystal Beast" card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | The required cards just need to be in the Graveyard and with cards that let you get them there, it shouldn't be too hard to activate this. However, it'll only work remotely well if you run Crystal Beasts. |
Take Flight Anime Normal Spell Activate only while you control a face-up "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus". Return all other "Crystal Beast" monsters on the field to their owner's hand(s). COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | This would return Crystal Beasts your opponent took from you like Trapper did to Jesse Anderson but it still needs Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus to be out and may leave you defenseless if you already Normal Summoned/Set that turn. |
Substitute Pain Anime Continuous Spell Once per turn, inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each card you control with a Prey Counter(s). COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Substitute this card for a much better option as you'll never likely rack up that many counters to deal beyond what other cards can do without needing them. |
Decoy Baby Anime Normal Spell Select 1 monster in your Spell & Trap Card Zone with a Prey Counter. Place one of your opponent's monsters with the same Type as the selected monster face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, and place 1 Prey Counter on it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Any card that revolves around the situational requirement of Prey Counters isn't going to get anything higher than 1 unless it has a powerful effect to make up for it. Both this card's effects are highly situational so it won't be made an exception. |
Camouflage Gardna EARTH / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 400 / DEF 1900 Once per turn, you can select 1 monster you control and treat this card's name and effect as that monster's until the End Phase. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Though I wrote the effect seen here, it's clear from when it was played that the effect was rather situational because otherwise Trapper probably would've used the effect in his duel with Jesse Anderson. Aside from that, it only has 1900 DEF to work with. |
M Force Anime Quick-Play Spell Select 1 face-up "Crystal Beast" monster you control. It gains 500 ATK. During battle between that attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of that card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. These effects continue until the end of this turn. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Somewhat more versatile than H - Heated Heart, though that card works on any monster for the same benefits. |
E Force Anime Quick-Play Spell Select 1 "Crystal Beast" monster in your Spell & Trap Card Zone and Special Summon it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Much like G Force, Crystal Beasts mostly don't have high ATK or DEF so having them defend your LP isn't going to do much good. |
Episode 115: Trapper Keeper (1)
G Force Anime Normal Trap Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. It must battle 1 "Crystal Beast" monster in your hand instead. (That monster is treated as being in face-up Attack Position.) Damage calculation is applied normally. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | The monster never actually hits the field so it cannot be harmed by anything that would destroy/banish monsters but Crystal Beasts don't have much offense with the exception of Amber Mammoth and Sapphire Pegasus so this won't likely help you much. |
Infernal Blasthound DARK / Beast / Level 5 / ATK 1000 / DEF 500 If this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent, destroy 1 random card in your opponent's hand. When this card is destroyed, you can Special Summon 1 "Infernal Blasthound" from your hand or Deck. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Good luck getting it to deal Battle Damage with only 1000 ATK and 500 DEF. Plus replacing it with another copy isn't any better. |
Capture Snare Anime Normal Trap Activate only when you control a card with at least 1 Prey Counter on it, and your opponent declares an attack. Negate the attack, then place the attacking monster face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, and place 1 Prey Counter on it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Same as Dark Auction's comments. |
Dark Auction Anime Normal Spell Select and return 1 monster with a Prey Counter to its owner's hand. Then, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Achieving Prey Counters isn't easy because while cards exist that let you return them to the hand, the monsters that get the counters can still easily be destroyed. |
Hunting Net Anime Counter Trap Activate if a monster would return to the hand. Place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, instead. Then, place 1 Prey Counter on it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It wouldn't keep you from losing a defense on the field but it would still allow it to be destroyed and get its effect. |
Lure Phantom DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 When an opponent's monster declares an attack, you can return this card and the attacking monster to the hand. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Neo-Spacian Grand Mole does this in a better way because not only are its stats higher but the effect works whenever it battles without costing you LP. |
