Still at their location from last episode after Jaden's Flame Wingman blew a hole through the wall in an attack to escape, Jaden continues trying to get through to Ms Fontane but when she does, she can barely hear him and tells him that they need that medicine but after that the connection fails and neither one can hear the other. They devise a plan to split up with Jaden and all except Alexis and Hassleberry head for Ms Fontane's room while Alexis and Hassleberry head for the gym. (This is what you all said last episode and you did NOTHING!) Axel thinks he knows someone who can keep the duel ghouls distracted. Inside Ms Fontane's room, Ms Fontane pushes some furniture against the door confident that the duel ghouls won't get in through there but one manages to come in through the ceiling. Winged Kuriboh, meanwhile, is leading the duel ghouls away as Jesse says it was a great idea Axel had and he's just getting warmed up. They enter the classroom and Axel finds that the schematics for the school are correct, letting them all move down a vent shaft but much to Axel's words of no duel ghouls being there, there's one so Adrian decides to hold them off, hoping that Jaden will believe he's on their side.

Jim struggles to get out but succeeds and the group rush off, entering another room (in the SAME HALLWAY where they were before) and Jaden decides they should go but Axel stops him as another duel ghoul shows so Jim decides to duel it and the rest move on. Ms Fontane has defeated a duel ghoul but like the rest, gets up and two more join him and after she scans the card for reasons explaining the students' behavior, she decides to take them all on. Axel leads Jaden and Jesse up to the ceiling to plan out Axel being the diversion and it works. Jaden and Jesse find an opening in the ceiling and enter the nurse's office at last. They find Ms Fontane has joined the duel ghoul team as well and Jaden decides to have Jesse give the meds to Blair while he himself duels. Elsewhere, Jim and Adrian realize that Alexis was right about them not giving up but Jim decides to keep dueling. Speaking of dueling, Ms Fontane begins her duel with Jaden with Nurse Reficule the Fallen One (1400) in Attack Mode, then sets 2 cards face down to end her turn. Jaden starts by playing Polymerization for Elemental Hero Flame Wingman (2100) in Attack Mode and the summoning of these monsters is doing a number on the room itself as Jesse runs to successfully protect Blair and takes her to the floor to give the first aid. Jaden attacks but Fontane activates Dark Cure, giving Jaden LPs equal to half of FW's ATK but then she activates NR's effect to make it Effect Damage and Jaden's down to 2950. Next she uses Brutal Potion to give NR 1000 ATK for the turn since Jaden took Effect Damage, putting its ATK at 2400.

Jaden sets 3 cards to end his turn, returning NR's ATK to 1400. Fontaine plays Bonfire to add a Level 4 or lower Pyro-Type monster from her Deck to her hand and she picks Burning Algae. Next, she uses Magical Stone Excavation to discard 2 Burning Algae, giving 2000 LPs (1000 per BA) but dealing that as damage to Jaden via NR's effect, leaving him with 950) and get back Bonfire, which she uses again to pick up and bring out Burning Algae (500) in Attack Mode, which sets part of the room on fire but Jesse puts it out. Then she attacks with BA but Jaden activates Hero Barrier to stop the attack. However, Fontane attacks with NR, destroying FW and leaving Jaden with 650 but Jaden activates Hero Signal to bring out Elemental Hero Wildheart (1500) in Attack Mode and since he's immune to Traps, Jaden doesn't take damage (In the CG, DC doesn't affect the summoned monster, it affects the LPs of the player that summoned the monster.) Jaden begins his turn with Graceful Charity to draw 3 and discard Re-Fusion and Bladedge. Then he takes out NR with Wildheart, leaving Fontane with 3900. Next he uses Call of the Haunted to bring back Bladedge (2600) in Attack Mode, getting half its ATK with DC's effect, leaving him at 1950 and uses it take out the Burning Algae, leaving Fontane with 1800 (though the advertisement makes it seem like 1000) and giving himself another 1000 LPs with BA's effect, putting him at 2950. Finally, he uses Instant Fusion to send his monsters to the Grave for Elemental Hero Wildedge (2600) in Attack Mode, leaving his LPs at 4250 by DC's effect. The room is really coming apart at this point and after Wildedge wins the duel, the doors burst off the doorway completely and Jaden flies out of the doorway with Jesse, then his Bio Band activates. Jesse plays Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger and has it take Blair to the gym where she finally gets better and now they have to save the others but not if It has anything to say about it. Who's not out there? The whole school has turned against them!
