Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 16)
*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 224: The Final Duel (4)
Dark Spear Anime Equip Spell Equip only to "Dark Magician". When it attacks a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the monster's ATK, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It's no wonder this card isn't a real card yet. We already have it in better form, unless Konami is just saving it for a later release whereby it'll be buffed but that won't save its anime card's rating. |
Episode 223: The Final Duel (3)
Awakening from Beyond Anime Normal Spell Your opponent draws 2 cards. Add 1 Monster Card from your Graveyard to your hand. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | I'd rather use Monster Reincarnation because that only costs me 1 card from my hand whereas this gives your opponent 2 free cards. |
Magnet Reverse Anime Normal Spell Select 1 Rock or Machine-Type monster in your Graveyard that was sent to your Graveyard this turn. Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Same as Magnet Force's comments. |
Episode 222: The Final Duel (2)
Magnet Force Anime Normal Trap Until the End Phase, if any of your face-up Rock or Machine-Type monsters are targeted by an opponent's card effect, switch the target(s) to an appropriate monster(s) your opponent controls. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | In a Deck devoted to Rock or Machine-Type monsters, this is a pretty decent card but other than that, it won't do you much good as is. |
Mirage Ruler Anime Continuous Trap Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. During the Battle Phase of a turn all monsters you controlled were destroyed by your opponent's cards, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to activate its effect. If you do, return all of your monsters that were destroyed to the field, and your Life Points become the amount you had at the start of this Battle Phase. Then, pay 1000 Life Points. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | You end up down 1000 LP regardless of how many monsters you bring back but since this is Continuous, your opponent would be able to chain Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy it before you can send it as a cost. |
Mirage Spell Anime Quick-Play Spell Activate only when the ATK and/or DEF of a monster you control would change by an opponent's card effect. Gain Life Points equal to the ATK and/or DEF that would have been changed instead. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | This can be quite a boost to your LP and it'll save your monster from losing precious ATK and or DEF. |
Episode 221: The Final Duel (1)
Summoning Clock Anime Continuous Trap Activate only when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card. You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard and Tribute 1 monster to Special Summon monsters from your hand equal to the number of your Standby Phases that have passed since this card's activation. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Also far too slow to be of any use in this format. |
Ground Erosion Anime Continuous Trap Select 1 Monster Card Zone on your opponent's side of the field that is currently used by a Monster Card. You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to negate the effect of the monster in the selected Monster Card Zone and decrease its ATK by the number of Standby Phases this card has been face-up on the field x 500. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Shattered Axe can be seen as this card's TCG counterpart given the similar effect but that doesn't see any play and this wouldn't either unless it was buffed significantly as it's too slow as is. |
Bounce Anime Quick-Play Spell Activate only when a Spell Card is activated. Take control of that face-up card, and apply its effect as though you activated it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | With Raigeki and Monster Reborn legal again, this'd see play to counter those at least. |
Episode 217: The Dark One Cometh (3)
Necro Jar DARK / Zombie / Level 3 / ATK 1100 / DEF 300 This card is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards. If this card is destroyed by battle, your opponent must send 1 card from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard for each multiple of 300 Battle Damage this card's controller took from that battle. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Being unaffected by Spell effects does nothing to offset the fact that you're forcing your opponent to lose the top cards of their Deck only after you take 300 or more points of Battle Damage from this card's destruction in battle and that can be more than what your opponent loses. |
Aria from Beyond Anime Normal Spell Select 1 removed from play Spell Card, and activate it on your side of the field. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | There wouldn't be much use for this today as Macro Cosmos, the main card that could make this card useful, is at 1 and most other cards that banish aren't going to be around as long. |
Necro Wall DARK / Zombie / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 During your End Phase, you can Special Summon 1 "Necro Wall Token" (DARK/ Zombie-Type/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) for each face-up Zombie-Type monster on the field, except this card. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's pretty weak but can give you an extra monster but you'd have better luck with it in an all Zombie monster Deck. |
Necro Cycle Anime Continuous Trap Once per turn, during either player's turn, if you control a face-up "Necro Mannequin", you can Special Summon 1 "Necro Mannequin" from your Deck. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Running Necro Mannequin just to use this is terrible because that's all you get out of this card's effect. You're also pretty desperate if the sole purpose of this is to Tribute Summon, Synchro Summon or Xyz Summon with the new monsters. |
Necro Mannequin DARK / Zombie / Level 3 / ATK 500 / DEF 500 A mannequin made from the depths of the underworld. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Essentially the DARK Zombie version of Volcanic Rat, as it's just as weak as that monster but you don't see Volcanic Rat in any top tier Decks today do you? |
Counterbalance Anime Continuous Spell During each player's End Phase, the turn player must send cards equal to the number of monsters on the field from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Bakura may have found a way around it but unless you do too, this'll hurt both players. |
Narrow Corridor Anime Continuous Trap Your opponent can only attack with up to 2 monsters during his/her Battle Phases. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It might help if you end up summoning more monsters than your opponent can destroy but then that can also mean your opponent could just finish you off in one attack. |
Episode 216: The Dark One Cometh (2) (Continued)
Necro Soldier DARK / Zombie / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, you can Special Summon 1 "Necro Soldier" from your hand or Deck. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It won't do you much good other than to add to your defenses, which doesn't say much as this guy has no ATK and DEF or any other effects. |
Cursed Twin Dolls Anime Continuous Spell Your opponent selects and receives 1 of the following effects, while you automatically receive the other effect: ● Gain 200 Life Points for each card sent to your Graveyard. ● Each monster in your Graveyard is treated as 1 monster you control, without counting toward your 5 Monster Card Zone limit. Those monsters cannot attack or be attacked, cannot activate their effects, cannot be used as a cost, cannot be removed from the Graveyard, are unaffected by the effects of Spells, Traps, and Effect Monsters, and their effects are negated. Cards cannot be sent from your hand, Deck, Fusion Deck, or field to your Graveyard by card effects. If your Monster Card Zones are unused, your opponent's monsters can attack you directly. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | A pretty risky card to play because I'm sure some will choose to gain the extra LP but having essentially dozens of monsters on your field can easily be taken advantage of with cards like The Calculator. |
Lenguard EARTH / Machine / Level 3 / ATK 300 / DEF 100 If you would take Battle Damage from a battle involving a monster you control, you can destroy this face-up card instead. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It costs you an extra monster but that could be better than costing you the Duel by losing just the original monster. |
Blocken EARTH / Machine / Level 3 / ATK 100 / DEF 300 If another monster you control is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to this card. If this card is destroyed by battle, you can Special Summon 1 "Lenguard" from your Deck. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Making it the attack target isn't bad if your strongest monster would be destroyed and cost you LP but this guy doesn't really have the power to survive on its own and neither does its comrade as you'll see. |
