Episode 216: The Dark One Cometh (2)

As Zorc approaches, Seto orders his army to attack and needs the strength of Kisara to help him summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon. The RPG table has the events continuing to unfold as Dark Bakura tells Yami it's his fault this has happened. While Yami can't remember his own name, Yugi has the courage to find it. Shimon says that since no army can defeat Zorc, Yami must summon the Egyptian Gods but Yami's energy is too low so Isis adds adds they must find the Millennium Items, which were scattered when Zorc appeared. Yami agrees to go but Isis denies this as he has other matters to attend to and his army needs his support so Isis will go with Spiria as her guide and Mana is allowed to tag along.

Zorc continues to not be affected by the blows of Seto's army as Isis calls upon Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1 and brings her energy meter low before taking to the skies. At the duel, it's DB with 1600 LPs and Yugi with 2400 and DB couldn't have guessed Yugi would get this far without Yami. DB draws and activates Spirit Sword of Sealing, removing Yugi's Silent Swordsman LV4 from play and not only negating its effects but preventing Yugi from freeing it with card effects. Next he summons Disgraced Mage (1700) in Attack Mode and attacks, not destroying Marshmallon by its effect but leaving Yugi down to 1000 LPs.  Of course if Marshmallon had gone to the Grave, SSLV4 would've been set free. His own monster's effect backfire and perhaps needed Yami's help after all. Tea` notices that DB called Yugi a pathetic mortal in a voice not completely his own but Yugi draws and plays Blocken (300) in Defense Mode for his turn.

DB draws and attacks Yugi's Marshmallon but Blocken's effect makes it the target, destroying it. However, DM's effect returns the monster it defeats to the deck, keeping SSLV4 imprisoned.

Furthermore, when Blocken is destroyed, Yugi can play Lenguard (300) in Attack Mode from his deck. DB has no doubt that Yugi's deck is the worst he's ever seen and sets 3 cards to end his turn. Meanwhile, Isis and Mana find all seven Millennium Items and uses her necklace to restore her energy.  Back at the duel, Yugi draws and attacks DB's DM with Marshmallon but remains unharmed as Lenguard is destroyed instead, freeing SSLV4 from SSoS' effect. Next he attacks and destroys DM but DB's score remains unchanged as he used DM"s other effect to return all cards in his hand to his deck to reduce Battle Damage to 0. DB takes his turn by activating Pot of Greed. Next he activates his face down Cursed Twin Dolls card, giving Yugi a choice between two presents and Yugi picks the red one, giving him 200 LPs each time a card is sent to the Graveyard, leaving DB to get the curse, which brings all his cards back from the Graveyard as phantoms, unable to attack or defend. Finally he plays his Necro Soldier (0000) in Defense Mode.

Isis and Mana arrive on WDGotF's back to see Zorc not yet past the gate but Zorc makes several failed attempts to take them down and once on the ground, Isis orders Mana to take the remaining MIs to Yami and Mana agrees after a discussion, then makes WDGotF grow with her Millennium Necklace and attacks Zorc, causing Zorc to retaliate and defeat it, Isis and Spiria, sending them to the Shadow Realm. Mana tells Shimon of Isis' defeat but Shimon remains strong and takes the Millennium Key to eventually buy time and asks that the remainder go to Yami. While she heads off, Shimon calls upon Exodia the Forbidden One and stone tablets rise in a 10 pointed star (which is only half that at around 17:21 into the Japanese episode). Shimon had sealed this monster away in 5 separate tablets but now breaks the seal. Exodia and Zorc trade blows until Zorc overpowers even Exodia's obliterate move and splits it down the middle and reduces it to dust, leaving Shimon to go with it. Zorc orders them to bow before the better being but Yami maintains that there's still hope and his handed his Millennium Puzzle, which restores his energy. In the name of Egypt, Yami shall prevail!
