Shining Victories (Page 3)

SHVI-EN059
Mausoleum of White
Field Spell
During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 Level 1 LIGHT Tuner monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster you control; send 1 Normal Monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, the targeted monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the Level of the monster sent to the Graveyard x 100, until the end of this turn (even if this card leaves the field). You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Burst Stream of Destruction" from your Deck to your hand.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It's mostly the first effect that makes this card even remotely playable because you'll have a shot at bringing out the Level 9 Azure-Eyes or Blue-Eyes Spirit, though that doesn't make either card that much better. The 2nd effect is mostly going to give the affected monster a laughable ATK boost of 800 most of the time when higher ATK boosts are achievable to a more versatile degree with cards like Axe of Despair.
SHVI-EN058
Rank-Up-Magic Skip Force
Normal Spell
Target 1 "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Raidraptor" monster that is 2 Ranks higher than that target, by using that target as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card and 1 "Raidraptor" monster from your Graveyard, then target 1 "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: This is what I'm talking about for Ultimate Falcon and you'll need it if you want to have any hopes of bringing it out, though the other effect is pretty bad.
SHVI-EN057
Fortissimo
Continuous Spell
Once per turn: You can target 1 "Melodious" monster you control; it gains 800 ATK until your next Standby Phase (even if this card leaves the field). You can send this card to the Graveyard; Fusion Summon 1 "Melodious" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Materials.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The ATK boost might help but it doesn't last long and of course it restrains the Fusion Materials to ones you control, leaving Polymerization to once again take the top spot for best Fusion Spell in my eyes.
SHVI-EN056
Digital Bug Rhinosebusan
LIGHT / Insect-Type Xyz / Rank 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 2200
2 or more Level 7 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 2 Xyz Materials from a Rank 5 or 6 Insect-Type Xyz Monster you control, then using that Xyz Monster as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy the face-up monster(s) your opponent controls with the highest DEF (all, if tied).
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Pretty powerful with the last effect but it too will be difficult without Ranking-Up or even having comrades with low Xyz Materials to be given up.
SHVI-EN055
Digital Bug Corebage
LIGHT / Insect-Type Xyz / Rank 5 / ATK 2200 / DEF 1800
2 or more Level 5 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 2 Xyz Materials from a Rank 3 or 4 Insect-Type Xyz Monster you control, then using that Xyz Monster as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; shuffle it into the Deck. Once per turn, if the battle position of a monster(s) on the field is changed (except during the Damage Step): You can attach 1 Insect-Type monster from your Graveyard to this card as Xyz Material.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Well surely Scaradiator won't have many materials left anyway but then, this guy won't either. Thankfully, this guy's effect only costs it 1 Xyz Material and will gain an Xyz Material each turn that you manage to get an Insect in your Graveyard by the time the conditions are met.
SHVI-EN054
Digital Bug Scaradiator
LIGHT / Insect-Type Xyz / Rank 3 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1400
2 or more Level 3 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; change its battle position, and if you do, it has its effects negated until the end of this turn. Once per turn, when this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can attach that destroyed monster to this card as Xyz Material.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Digital Bugs are the easiest way to get this guy out but you'll need close to or even the maximum number of Xyz Materials possible to make use because using the effect costs it 2 Xyz Materials for very little benefit and those stats aren't much either. Your best bet is to attach the destroyed monster as Xyz Material but that requires it to take down a monster and send it to the Graveyard.
SHVI-EN053
Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon
DARK / Winged Beast-Type Xyz / Rank 10 / ATK 3500 / DEF 2000
3 Level 10 Winged Beast-Type monsters
Unaffected by other cards' effects. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; for the rest of this turn, all monsters your opponent controls will lose 1000 ATK, also your opponent's cards and effects cannot be activated. If this card has a "Raidraptor" monster as Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● Once per turn, during the End Phase: You can make all monsters your opponent controls lose 1000 ATK. If your opponent controls no face-up monsters, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Since the most versatile way to get 3 Level 10s out (Metal Reflect Slime) cannot be used for this guy without modifying its type, you're left to either Rank-Up to it or to somehow get the 3 Level 10 Winged Beasts. Of course, Ranking-Up is your best bet to have more Xyz Materials and it's easier, not to mention you'll be able to use the bonus effect, but that'll only work if your opponent has no face-up monsters.
SHVI-EN052
Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon
LIGHT / Dragon-Type Synchro / Level 9 / ATK 2500 / DEF 3000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Blue-Eyes" monsters
Neither player can Special Summon 2 or more monsters at the same time. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when an effect of a card in the Graveyard is activated: You can negate the activation. During either player's turn: You can Tribute this Synchro Summoned card; Special Summon 1 LIGHT Dragon-Type Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck in Defense Position, except "Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon", but destroy it during the End Phase of this turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The only major way to Special Summon 2 or more monsters at once is by Pendulum Summon but unless you face them, your opponent can easily get around this card's effect. The 2nd effect isn't bad since it can negate any effect that activates in the Graveyard during either player's turn but having to Tribute itself after being Synchro Summoned isn't really worth Special Summoning a specific Dragon-Type Synchro that self-destructs and won't be able to attack as it'll be in Defense Mode.
SHVI-EN051
Assault Blackwing - Chidori the Rain Sprinkling
DARK / Winged Beast-Type Synchro / Level 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 2000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If this card is Synchro Summoned using a "Blackwing" monster as Material, it is treated as a Tuner monster while face-up on the field. This card gains 300 ATK for each "Blackwing" monster in your Graveyard. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Winged Beast-Type Synchro Monster in your Graveyard, except "Assault Blackwing - Chidori the Rain Sprinkling"; Special Summon it.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: The nice thing is it counts as a Tuner if a Blackwing monster is one of the Synchro Materials, which is pretty easy to do, especially since it's Level 7 and Shura the Blue Flame and Gale the Whirlwinds' Levels add up to 7, making them an obvious pair to use. The ATK boost is also nice and thus using this pair as the materials will give this guy 3200 by default. Equally nice is that when this guy bites the dust and goes to the Graveyard, you can revive any other Winged Beast in your Graveyard, including Blackwings.
SHVI-EN050
Hi-Speedroid Puzzle
WIND / Machine-Type Synchro / Level 4 / ATK 1300 / DEF 1600
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a Special Summoned monster: You can make this card's ATK become double its current ATK until the end of the Damage Step. Once per turn, during the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because this Synchro Summoned card was sent there from the field this turn: You can target 1 "Speedroid" monster in your Graveyard, except "Hi-Speedroid Puzzle"; add it to your hand.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Not difficult to bring out but won't change its ATK unless it battles a Special Summoned monster and will only have twice its current ATK at that time. The other effect isn't much better.
SHVI-EN049
Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon
WIND / Dragon-Type Synchro / Level 8 / ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn, when another monster's effect is activated: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster, and if you do that, this card gains ATK equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK until the end of this turn. If this card battles a Level 5 or higher monster your opponent controls, during damage calculation: This card gains ATK equal to the current ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling during that damage calculation only.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It has a good chance at facing a Level 5 or higher monster and/or effect monster but unless Xyz Monsters get banned or crippled to the point where no one uses them, they'll probably be the most likely monster it'll face, whereby it won't gain any ATK. Furthermore, it needs Sychro non-Tuners, which makes it harder to bring out.
SHVI-EN048
Lunalight Leo Dancer
DARK / Beast-Warrior-Type Fusion / Level 10 / ATK 3500 / DEF 3000
"Lunalight Panther Dancer" + 2 "Lunalight" monsters
Must be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Materials and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Cannot be targeted, or destroyed by, your opponent's card effects. This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. Once per turn, at the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked a monster: You can destroy all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Since you can't substitute the Fusion Materials, getting her out is going to be a major task as you'll need to Fusion Summon multiple times. As the strongest of the three, she can attack twice per Battle Phase and potentially destroy all your opponent's remaining monsters if they were all Special Summoned.
SHVI-EN047
Lunalight Panther Dancer
DARK / Beast-Warrior-Type Fusion / Level 8 / ATK 2800 / DEF 2500
"Lunalight Cat Dancer" + 1 "Lunalight" monster
Must first be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Materials. Cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1: You can activate this effect; for the rest of this turn, the first time each monster your opponent controls would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed, also this card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, twice each, this turn. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: This card gains 200 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: At least your efforts grant you a monster that cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects but the other two effects aren't very good.
SHVI-EN046
Lunalight Cat Dancer
DARK / Beast-Warrior-Type Fusion / Level 7 / ATK 2400 / DEF 2000
2 "Lunalight" monsters
Cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1: You can Tribute 1 other "Lunalight" monster; for the rest of this turn, the first time each monster your opponent controls would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed, also this card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, twice each, this turn. If this card declares an attack: Inflict 100 damage to your opponent.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The only major pluses to this are indestructible in battle and easy to bring out because 100 damage is very little in today's meta. Tributing one of its friends to attack monsters your opponent controls twice each, only to prevent their initial destriction in battle doesn't seem very smart IMO.
SHVI-EN045
Bloom Prima the Melodious Choir
LIGHT / Fairy-Type Fusion / Level 7 / ATK 1900 / DEF 2000
1 "Melodious Maestra" monster + 1 or more "Melodious" monsters
This card gains 300 ATK for each Fusion Material used for its Fusion Summon. This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. If this Fusion Summoned card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Melodious" monster in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.
RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The stronger you want her to be, the more Fusion Materials you'll need but without Future Fusion, which remains banned, you won't have her that high most of the time. If all else fails, you'll replace her by retrieving a Melodious monster from your Graveyard and you'll have at least two to pick from.
SHVI-EN044
Amorphactor Pain, the Imagination Dracoverlord
EARTH / Dragon-Type Ritual / Level 8 / ATK 2950 / DEF 2500
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Amorphous Persona". If this card is Ritual Summoned: Your opponent skips their next Main Phase 1. Negate the effects of face-up Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters while they are on the field. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Dracoverlord" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Amorphactor Pain, the Imagination Dracoverlord".
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: While there is support for Rituals, moreso than when they were first released, this guy doesn't do a whole lot once he's on the field because while he negates effects of Fusion, Synchro and Xyz Monsters, they can still attack and good ol' Blue-Eyes White Dragon is not only unaffected but can run him over with ease.
SHVI-EN043
Dicelops
FIRE / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 200
Once per turn: You can roll a six-sided die, then apply the result.
● 1: Look at your opponent's hand, also discard 1 card from their hand.
● 2, 3, 4, 5: Discard 1 card.
● 6: Discard your entire hand.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: While the effect will require much more specific Decks to avoid the pitfalls, this guy still makes for a decent card for your Deck.
SHVI-EN042
Deskbot 009
EARTH / Machine / Level 9 / ATK 500 / DEF 500
Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1: You can make this card gain ATK equal to the combined ATK of all "Deskbot" monsters you currently control, except "Deskbot 009", until the end of your opponent's turn. Only this card can attack the turn this effect is activated. If this card battles, your opponent's cards and effects cannot be activated until the end of the Damage Step. If this card would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy 1 "Deskbot" card you control instead.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Deskbots 005-008 weren't good as Pendulum Monsters and this guy joins the ranks of the first seven Deskbots, with all the failures his comrades have from weak stats to being the only monster that can attack, and only powering up for Deskbots, which are all junk thus far.
SHVI-EN041
Gendo the Ascetic Monk
WATER / Spellcaster / Level 4 / ATK 300 / DEF 1800
Face-up Attack Position monsters on the field cannot activate their effects. This Defense Position card cannot be targeted, or destroyed, by card effects.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It'll survive longer than most monsters that are affected by effects but it's still vulnerable to battle and you also cannot strengthen its defenses any further unless you use cards that don't target but most cards do.
SHVI-EN040
Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries
DARK / Zombie-Type Tuner / Level 3 / ATK 0 / DEF 1800
During either player's turn, if your opponent controls more monsters than you do: You can discard this card; reveal 1 card in your Extra Deck, then look at your opponent's Extra Deck, also banish all cards in their Extra Deck with the same name as that revealed card. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries" once per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It's a bit of a risk to hope that wheverer you pick is something your opponent has and it costs you a card from your hand each turn, not to mention this guy has to survive each turn you want to use the effect. Even with all this, I don't see justificaiton for making it such a high rarity.
