Battlebots Custom Series Toy Reviews

El Diablo
Excellently crafted by Tiger Electronics! The only problem I have with it is that much like the Battle Basher version, it cannot run upside down, but at least it runs on its treads.
Vlad the Impaler
This one seemed to be the worst of the Custom Series bots, perhaps tied with Son of Whyachi. It was pretty much impossible to get underneath him from anywhere but the front, whereas the real version has a higher ground clearance. Another thing is that Vlad has this third lifting fork in the middle, not something the real Vlad has at all. The fork doesn't do anything except I guess help Vlad's forks get underneath, although they could've just made Vlad's design so that the forks do touch the ground (which happens when his armor is removed) The weapon itself lifts up as the robot moves, making it almost impossible to time it to get underneath the opponent. One final note is that there are number 2s on the sides of the robot (which I have no clue why they're there. Maybe for being in second place to Biohazard?) and not even the Loctite logo like on the real Vlad and his forks are orange, not black.
Minion
This one also isn't as well designed as it could've been. For the most part, it hardly resembles it's real-life counterpart apart from the rear blade (which is far closer to the body's actual size, unlike the real Minion) and the six wheels. The front wedge is basically pointless. It's not even close enough to the ground to even come close to getting under its opponent (especially Vlad) Furthermore, it doesn't extend to the top of the robot, nor does it have any of Minion's decals on it and it has a high probability of falling off.
Son of Whyachi
I must admit, they got this one's "walking" ability down pretty well. This one, out of all of them (except El Diablo) seems to resemble the most like its real-life counterpart but it's weaponry easily falls off.
Dooall
This one can join El Diablo in the "well-made" club as he has basically the same design as El Diablo in terms of the treads and chassis. However, like El Diablo, it is due to this chassis that he cannot run upside down (his weapon gets in the way but I think he would look odd driving upside down due to the middle wheel being larger) His weapon also doesn't rise to the sky so to speak like his real counterpart does.
