Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 40)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 147: Conquering the Past (2)
Card Type: Effect Monster
Card Info Advanced Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle
LIGHT / Beast / Level 3 / ATK 300 / DEF 300
This card's name is also treated as "Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle". If there is no face-up "Advanced Dark" on the field, destroy this card. If this card is in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, you can Special Summon it. When this card is Special Summoned, you can Special Summon as many "Crystal Beast" cards as possible from your Spell & Trap Card Zone. If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Just as feeble and pitiful as the original but the original lacks self-destruction.

Card Type: Effect Monster
Card Info Advanced Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus
WIND / Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1200
This card's name also is treated as "Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus". If there is no face-up "Advanced Dark" on the field, destroy this card. When this card is Summoned, you can place 1 "Crystal Beast" monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard in your Spell & Trap Card Zone, face-up, as a Continuous Spell Card. If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It has the decent ATK and Level of its original counterpart but like the others, it self-destructs if its beloved Advanced Dark isn't on the field and ours has no use for these.

Card Type: Effect Monster
Card Info Advanced Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat
EARTH / Beast / Level 3 / ATK 1200 / DEF 400
This card's name is also treated as "Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat". If there is no face-up "Advanced Dark" on the field, destroy this card. This card can attack your opponent directly. When it does so using this effect, any Battle Damage it inflicts to your opponent is halved. If this card is destroyed while it is in a Monster Card Zone, you can place it face-up in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Continuous Spell Card, instead of sending it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The original is pretty poor and since our Advanced Dark has no need for any of these, these are pretty well pointless unless their effects are revised.
Episode 146: Conquering the Past (1)
Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Gravity Gain
Anime Continuous Trap
During each your Standby Phases, Tribute 1 monster or destroy this card. Level 4 or lower monsters cannot declare an attack.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Level 4 monsters are the only monsters stopped by this card that are worth stopping but with Gravity Bind instead of this costly reject.

Card Type: Effect Monster
Card Info Fiend Slime Mold
WATER / Fiend / Level 3 / ATK 500 / DEF 800
During your Standby Phase, if this card is in face-up Attack Position, you can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon 1 "Fiend Slime Mold" from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: No matter how many copies you bring out, you're wasting LP for a feeble monster that can't even defend itself or you.
Episode 145: The Forbidden Ritual (2)
Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info Rage of the Forbidden One
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only during the Battle Phase, while you control a face-up "Exodios the Ultimate Forbidden Lord". Until the End Phase, you can negate the effects of any face-up Spell Cards, Trap Cards, or Effect Monsters that were activated this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It can give you an interference-free turn but it still requires you to have Exodius out and unless Exodius also has high ATK, this won't do you much good.

Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Plasma Discharger
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during your opponent's Battle Phase and by destroying 1 equipped Equip Card you control. End the Battle Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: You may get an extra benefit if the destroyed Equip Card has an effect that is triggered when destroyed while equipped but Negate Attack is a much more versatile card.

Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Defense Wall Seal
Anime Continuous Trap
Activate only if you control a face-up "Exodios the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" when an opponent's monster declares an attack. You can negate the attack of an opponent's monster and end the Battle Phase. If "Exodios the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" is removed from the field, destroy this card.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It needs Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord (whose name differs slightly in the anime) but can end the Battle Phase more often than with more versatile cards like Negate Attack.

Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Plasma Roar
Anime Continuous Trap
During your opponent's Standby Phase, if you control a "Destiny Hero - Plasma", place 1 Plasma Counter on this card. While this card has 2 or more Plasma Counters on it, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to destroy 1 monster on the field and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of that monster.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Too slow to be effective and requires one of the more difficult Destiny HERO monsters to get out and it'd need to stay out for 2 of your opponent's Standby Phases, which'd require it to have snatched up a monster to power up its ATK.

Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info D - Mind
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only if you control no "Destiny Hero" monsters. Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Destiny Hero" monster from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Somewhat more versatile than D - Spirit, which only Special Summons from the hand under the same conditions but this can only bring out Level 3 or lower Destiny HERO monsters.
Episode 144: The Forbidden Ritual (1)
Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info Ritual of the Ultimate Forbidden Lord
Anime Normal Spell
You can only activate this card from your Graveyard while there are 5 different "Forbidden One" cards in your hand or Graveyard. Return all "Forbidden One" cards in your Graveyard to your Deck. Discard 2 "Forbidden One" cards from your hand to the Graveyard, and Special Summon 1 "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" from your hand or Deck. (The Deck is then shuffled.) While this card is in the Graveyard and "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord" is on your side of the field, when a "Forbidden One" card(s) is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, except by the effect of "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord", return that card(s) to the Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It would see play with Exodia Decks for obvious reasons but the unwritten rule with this card is it apparently had to be activated from the Graveyard, which will limit its uses further.

Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info Force of Four
Anime Continuous Spell
When this card is activated, if a player(s) has more than 4 cards in their hand, they must send cards to the Graveyard until there are 4 cards in their hand. While either player has 4 cards in their hand, if an effect would add a new card(s) from their Deck or Graveyard to their hand, they must send all those cards to the Graveyard instead.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The card lives up to its name but that's not always a good thing and it reduces both players' hand sizes to 4 and basically keeps them from adding to the hand, which does have its uses.
Episode 143: What Lies Beneath (3)
Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info Volcanic Cyclone
Anime Quick-Play Spell
Send any number of Pyro-Type monsters from your hand to the Graveyard and select an equal number of Spell/Trap Cards your opponent controls. Destroy the selected card(s). During the End Phase, draw cards equal to the number of monsters sent to the Graveyard for this card's activation.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The more threats you want to get rid of, the more Pyro-Type monsters you'll have to ditch but at least you replenish your hand later on.

Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Plasma Counter
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during the Damage Step when a face-up "Destiny Hero - Plasma" you control is attacked by an opponent's monster and "D - Force" is face-up on top of your Deck. The attacking monster's ATK is halved, and "Destiny Hero - Plasma" gains 1500 ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Shrink already does most of this card's effects and it doesn't care whether it's the only card you control or not.

Card Type: Effect Monster
Card Info Kiteroid
WIND / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 200 / DEF 400
If you would take Battle Damage from a direct attack, you can discard this card instead. While this card is in the Graveyard, you can reduce the Battle Damage you take from a direct attack to 0. You can only activate this effect once per Duel.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Better than other cards like Kuriboh and Swift Scarecrow but the 2nd effect can only be used once per Duel and this card is still pretty weak.
Episode 142: What Lies Beneath (2)
Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Volcanic Mine
Anime Normal Trap
Special Summon as many "Bomb Tokens" (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 1/ATK 1000/DEF 1000) as possible to your opponent's side of the field in Defense Position. Until the End Phase, your opponent's monsters cannot change their battle positions, and their effects are negated. During the End Phase, destroy all "Bomb Tokens".
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The tokens don't even last and don't cause anything negative to happen to your opponent apart from keeping them in the battle position they're in when the tokens appear.

Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Volcanic Armor
Anime Continuous Trap
When a Pyro-Type monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, inflict 500 damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Not really any more versatile than our Backfire, which is limited to FIRE monsters and its recent erratum prevents you from dealing 500 damage per destroyed FIRE monster.

Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info Undead Lineage
Anime Equip Spell
If the equipped monster attacks, it gains 500 ATK during the Damage Step only. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by a card effect, you can send this face-up card to the Graveyard instead.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The ATK boost doesn't last long but this can at least prevent its host's destruction by a card effect.

Card Type: Trap Card
Card Info Reverse Effector
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a face-down Defense Position monster on the field is targeted by a Spell or Trap Card. Flip the face-down Defense Position monster to face-up Attack Position, and negate the activation of the Spell or Trap Card. Then, send the flipped monster to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Once you force the activation of your monster, if at all, then you lose it. You'd be better off just using a card that reveals it right away.
Episode 140: A Sight Unseen (2) (Continued)
Card Type: Spell Card
Card Info Miracle Rupture
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only by sending 1 Rock-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. Shuffle your Deck, then draw 1 card.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Well shuffling your Deck will be pretty well pointless but you'll draw 1 card anyway.
