Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 9)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 170: Fighting for a Friend (2)
Buster Knuckle
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 3 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
This card gains 200 ATK for each face-up Armor monster you control. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It's taken a page from Buster Knuckle by gaining the same miniscule ATK boost but then it deals piercing battle damage but that isn't going to be very much, and that's if it has enough ATK to make it worthwhile.
Jet Gauntlet
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 1500
If this card battles an opponent's monster, you can destroy both monsters at the start of the Damage Step (without damage calculation). (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Basically it forces both monsters to lose the battle before it even starts and this isn't bad because you'll likely lose it anyway, not to mention take a fair amount of battle damage but then that's one less monster to defend you for future attacks.
Burning Knuckle
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 3 / ATK 0 / DEF 1000
This card gains 200 ATK for each face-up Armor monster you control. If this card attacks and is destroyed by battle with your opponent's monster, you can select 1 face-up monster on the field, and have it lose ATK equal to this card's ATK. (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It relies heavily on you having additional Armor monsters but with their generally weak stats, that's not a high likelihood and even then, it's only 200 ATK for each, which probably won't be much anyway, and thus neither will the ATK loss for the opponenths' monster.
Full Armor Gravitation
Anime Normal Spell
Pick up the top 10 cards of your Deck. Special Summon as many Armor monsters as possible from among those cards, in the order they were picked up, then remove the remaining cards from play.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unless we either get the Armor monsters or this gets an effect that doesn't require them, this card is quite the gamble.
Episode 167: Flight of Fear (2)
Toy Robot Box
Anime Normal Spell
Discard 1 card. Special Summon 3 "Robot Tokens" (Machine-Type/EARTH/
Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). These tokens cannot declare an attack.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: You can do what you like with the new Tokens and they do futher protect AFZ but why not use Scapegoat instead and not rely on that mediocre monster?
Air Fortress Ziggurat
WIND / Machine / Level 8 / ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except with "Sky Union". This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards. During each of your End Phases, Special Summon 1 "Robot Token" (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. "Robot Tokens" cannot declare an attack. While you control a face-up "Robot Token", this card cannot be selected as an attack target.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Much of what I've said wtih Sky Union can be said here as this card relies entirely on Sky Union's resolution or you'll have wasted 3 monsters for nothing but then this guy really doesn't add much apart from how massive it was.
Sky Union
Anime Normal Spell
Tribute 3 monsters you control. Special Summon 1 "Air Fortress Ziggurat" from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It doesn't matter which 3 monsters you Tribute so even 3 Scapegoat Tokens qualify but the monster it brings out is rather dismal because while it's unaffected by Spells and Traps, it has only 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF and is slow to bring out the decoy Robot Tokens, leaving it vulnerable to attacks.
Soldier Revolt
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only while you control a face-up "Kinetic Soldier", "Science Soldier" and "Cyber Soldier of Darkworld". Send all cards from your opponent's hand and side of the field to the Graveyard. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Each of these monsters are relatively easy to bring out but you don't get to attack after wiping your opponent's hand and field clean.
Junk Dealer
Anime Normal Spell
Select up to 2 Machine-Type or Warrior-Type monsters in your Graveyard. Special Summon them in Attack Position and halve their original ATK. Monsters Summoned by this effect cannot attack nor be Tributed for a Tribute Summon this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: This'd certainly see play unless more restraints were placed on it because we have alternatives to Tribute Summons thanks to Xyz and Synchro Monsters but since they're in Attack Position with half their original ATKs, you'll certainly be taking some damage.
Episode 166: Flight of Fear (1)
Tank Corp
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only by selecting 1 face-up "KC-1 Crayton" you control. Special Summon 3 "Tank Tokens" (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 3/ATK 800/DEF 1200) in Defense Position.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: As KC-1 Cratyton is unplayable and this card needs it for its activation, both cards are utterly useless, especially since we can get more Tokens with Scapegoat.
KC-1 Crayton
EARTH / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1200
This card gains 500 ATK for each "Tank Token" you control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Unless we magically get a card that allows us to change the names of what Tokens we have out, this card will never see play since the only card that gives us the Tokens it powers up with is Tank Corp, which is also unreleased, and even that wouldn't make this card playable.
Episode 165: Deck of Armor (Continued)
Trap Buster
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 3 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
Negate the effects of your opponent's Trap Cards that target 1 Armor monster you control or would destroy 2 or more monsters on the field. (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It'll stop the likes of Sakuretsu Armor, Dimensional Prison and Mirror Force but only works against Trap Cards and won't last long without protection.
Big Bang Blow
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard while you control 2 or more monsters, inflict damage to each player equal to the total ATK of each monster they control. After that, destroy all monsters on the field. (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: With Cyber Jar banned for having a more powerful version of this card's effect, this wouldn't be all that bad, though in most cases its effect won't get to resolve.
Over Boost
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 1000
Armor monsters you control can attack your opponent directly. If an Armor monster attacks your opponent directly with this effect, destroy this card during the End Phase. (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It's stats are dismal enough but factor in that it self-destructs if any Armor monsters attack directly and you get a complete failure of a monster.
Active Guard
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 2500
If you would take damage, you can activate this card's effect. You take no damage this turn. If you use this effect, destroy this card during the End Phase. (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Its DEF is worthwhile for a Level 4 monster but it'll self-destruct if you use its first effect.
Armored Gravitation
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only if you control a face-up "Psychic Armor Head". Special Summon up to 4 Level 4 or lower Armor monsters (with different names) from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It needs the pitiful Psychic Armor Head just to activate it but the Armor monsters aren't all bad and can be used as Tributes and whatnot.
Diamond Head Dragon
LIGHT / Dragon / Level 8 / ATK ? / DEF 2800
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned with "Adamantine Sword Revival". The original ATK of this card is equal to the ATK of the monster Tributed by the effect of "Adamantine Sword Revival" + 1000.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Much like when I rate Ritual Spells and Ritual Monsters, this card requires the previous card below to summon it and it literally hinges on that Tributed monster's ATK.
Adamantine Sword Revival
Anime Quick-Play Spell
Activate only when a Dragon-Type monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard. Tribute it to Special Summon 1 "Diamond Head Dragon" from your Deck in face-up Attack Position, under the control of the controller of the Special Summoned Dragon-Type monster. It cannot attack this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's a bit risky to play but can pay off as your new monster with have 1000 more ATK than the Tributed monster but it won't be attacking right away.
Magnet Armor
Anime Normal Trap
Special Summon 1 Armor monster from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. Destroy it during the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The Armor monsters aren't even overpowered and there are better ways to revive them without losing them in the same turn.
Double Cloth Armor
EARTH / Machine-Type Armor / Level 6 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
This card cannot attack. If this card is attacked by an opponent's monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of that monster's ATK and destroy both monsters (without applying damage calculation). (Only 1 Armor monster can attack per turn. If you control 2 or more Armor monsters, and 1 is selected as an attack target, you can change the target to another Armor monster you control.)
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: A high level monster with those stats that not only still hurts you for the battle damage, that damage may actually be more than what your opponent takes
