Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 87)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 141: The Fate of Three Worlds
Utopia Sword
Anime Equip Spell
Equip only to a "Utopic" monster. It gains 800 ATK. When the equipped monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle, you can send this card to the Graveyard to destroy all monsters on the field, except the monster this card was equipped to.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: A low ATK boost and will wipe out your monsters too if you're not careful. Plus, it has to take out an opponent's monster in battle.
Duo of the Seven Emperors
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only if you take battle damage from an attack involving a "Number C" monster your opponent controls. Special Summon 1 "Number C102: Archfiend Seraph" and 1 "Number C103: Ragnafinity" from your Extra Deck. Their effects are negated.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Our Number C102 and C103 would be just as vulernable as their anime counterparts but at least they can still attack or be ued for Summons. Of course, taking battle damage from a Number C monster probably means a pretty big decrease in LP.
Buzzbuzz Seven
DARK / Spellcaster / Level 7 / ATK 700 / DEF 700
If your opponent controls a face-up Xyz Monster, you can Special Summon this card from your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: While Xyz Monsters remain popular, there are better monsters that already exist like Cyber Dragon, which has three times the ATK and nearly twice the DEF, not to mention a much easier requirement to meet when Special Summoning it by its effect.
Chaos Barrier
Anime Normal Spell
Select 2 "C" monsters you control with the same name. Those monsters you control cannot be selected as an attack target, be removed from play, or be destroyed by card effects.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A difficult activation requirement to meet but it menas your hard work has a very low chance of being in vein.
Doppelganger Shark
WATER / Fish / Level 4 / ATK 1000 / DEF 1000
When this card is Normal Summoned, select 1 WATER monster you control. This card's name becomes that monster's name and that monster can attack your opponent directly.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Gaining any monster's name means very little if it doesn't offer anything else and this guy doesn't have anything else worthwhile.
Card of Ascension
Anime Normal Spell
Send 1 monster from your hand to the Graveyard. Add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It searches any Rank-Up-Magic card for a small price but very few of them are that good.
Episode 140: A Thousand Ways to Lose
Bonds of Hope
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when an Xyz Monster is Special Summoned to your side of the field. Special Summon 1 Xyz Monster from your Graveyard, then attach this card and all Xyz Materials attached to a monster you control to 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control as Xyz Materials. During the End Phase, destroy the monster Special Summoned by this effect.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's sort-of a last-ditch effort because the Xyz Monster this revives doesn't last long and really works best with the previous card.
Utopia Rising
Anime Normal Trap
Special Summon 1 "Number 39: Utopia" from your Graveyard and equip it with this card. While equipped by this effect, "Number 39: Utopia" gains the effects of all Xyz Monsters you control that are activated by detaching their own Xyz Material(s). When this card is removed from the field, destroy the equipped monster.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Number 39: Utopia wouldn't do much here given ours self-destructs if attacked without Xyz Material. Besides, it only works on that Utopia as opposed to others.
Session Draw
Anime Normal Trap
During your next Draw Phase, draw 1 more card in addition to your normal draw. If you draw a monster with both your normal draw and by this effect, and they have the same Level, Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using those monsters in the hand only.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Your odds of drawing 2 Monster cards are quite slim if you're not running mostly Monster Cards. Even then, you still don't have good odds of getting 2 monsters with the same Level.
Chaos Imaginary Number 1000: Numeronius Numeronia
LIGHT / Fiend-Type Xyz / Rank 13 / ATK 100,000 / DEF 100,000
5 Level 13 monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle except with "Number" monsters. When a "Number C1000: Numeronius" you control is destroyed, you can Xyz Summon this card from your Extra Deck, by using it as the Xyz Material. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects, or declare an attack. Your opponent must select this card as an attack target. If they do not, during the End Phase of that turn, they lose the Duel. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to negate the attack of 1 opponent's monster, then, gain Life Points equal to that monster's ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: As overwhelmingly strong as it is, there's no easy way to Xyz Summon it and I'm sure Konami would make sure to render this card nearly useless upon release.
Numeron Storm
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only if you control a "Numeronius" monster. Destroy all cards in your opponent's Spell & Trap Card Zones, then inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The two Numeronius monsters Don Thousand used would have to be playable, or this card would have to be drastically improved to make itself playable or none of them would be worth it.
ZS - Ouroboros Sage
DARK / Warrior / Level 3 / ATK 600 / DEF 0
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can select 1 non-LIGHT "Number" monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. Its effects are negated. During your Main Phase, you can equip this card and 1 "Utopi" monster you control to the Special Summoned monster. It gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect. While this card is equipped to a monster, when the equipped monster declares an attack, double its ATK until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Perhaps one of the few, if not only member of these guys yet-to-be-released. It's not very strong but can really power up Utopia monsters. The effects though aren't going to help you outside of a Utopia Deck so I can't rate this guy all that high.
Re-Xyz
Anime Normal Spell
Select 1 Xyz Monster in your Graveyard, then select monsters in your Graveyard that have the same Level, equal to the number of monsters required to Xyz Summon that monster. Xyz Summon that monster in the Graveyard, using the other selected monsters only.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Much better than either Xyz Reborn or any other Xyz Monster-reviving card as not only is it a Spell Card but it doesn't require the Xyz Materials to have Levels equal to the Rank of the Xyz Monster so you could easily revive a high-Rank Xyz Monster using Level 4 monsters.
Tidal Advantage
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only if an opponent's monster battles a WATER monster you control. Halve your opponent's monster's ATK during the Battle Phase only. WATER monsters cannot be destroyed by battle this turn.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: WATER Decks can obviously benefit from this and will win the battle most likely but the effect only lasts one turn and only works on WATER monsters.
Chaos Number 1000: Numeronius
LIGHT / Fiend-Type Xyz / Rank 12 / ATK 10,000 / DEF 1000
5 Level 12 monsters
This card cannot be destroyed by battle except with "Number" monsters. "C" monsters your opponent controls cannot attack and their effects are negated. At the end of the Battle Phase, destroy all monsters your opponent controls, then Special Summon from either Graveyard, as many monsters as possible that were sent from the field to the Graveyard(s) this turn, to your side of the field in face-up Defense Position. If this card would be destroyed, you can destroy 1 other monster you control instead. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then select 1 monster on the field and destroy it, then choose 1 "C" monster in the Extra Deck of the destroyed monster's controller and Special Summon it to their side of the field, ignoring its Summoning conditions.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Its ATK would be the highest on an officially printed card (as the Boss Monster card in Japan isn't really an official release) but getting it out would be very difficult without help and I'm sure Konami would find ways to cripple it.
Numeron Chaos Ritual
Anime Normal Spell
Actvate only if a "Number C1: Numeron Chaos Gate Sunya" under your control was destroyed this turn. Treat 1 "Numeron Network" and 4 "Number" monsters in your Graveyard as Level 12 monsters and Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster using those 5 monsters only.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: We don't have Number C1 or Numbers 1-4 yet so until we do, or unless this card's effect is rewritten to not require them, it's not going to be all that useful.
Episode 139: The Source Code (Continued)
Depth Eruption
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only if you control a WATER Xyz Monster. Destroy all cards on the field.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Obviously it'd be best to use this if your monsters's destruction in battle would cost you the Duel but unless you have cards to play afterwards, this isn't really going to help. Plus, it only works if you control a WATER Xyz Monster.
Numeron Wall
DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
When you take battle damage, you can Special Summon this card from your hand, then end the Battle Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It can help but I'd still rather use Negate Attack or Threatening Roar to prevent the damage in the first place. Plus, this guy doesn't have the ATK or DEF to survive once its effect is used.
Rank-Up Rising
Anime Quick-Play Spell
Activate only when a WATER monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It can be used during your opponent's turn or yours but even getting a Rank-Up-Magic card doesn't convince me this is worth anything more than 2/5.
Boom Shark
WATER / Fish / Level 3 / ATK 1000 / DEF 0
At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked or was attacked, destroy this card, then inflict damage to your opponent equal to this card's ATK on the field. If you control another monster, destroy this card.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It has to engage in battle in order to be useful and even when it does, it self-destructs. Plus, it also self-destructs if it's not alone on your field, and with 0 DEF, Fire Trooper proves it's much more ideal.
