Episode 140: A Thousand Ways to Lose
At the duel, Astral declares that their victory is drawing closer but Don Thousand says otherwise and to prove it, he draws and returns Chaos Number 1: Numeron Chaos Gate Sunya (2000) in Attack Mode. However, since Numeron Network isn't on the field, Sunya self-destructs. Regardless, Don Thousand is well prepared and activates Numeron Chaos Ritual to use Numeron Network and the 4 Numeron Gate monsters in his Graveyard as Level 12 monsters, leaving Yuma and Astral in total shock. With that, Don Thousand uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 1000: Numeronius (10,000) in Attack Mode, a sight not thrilling for Yuma, Tori or Nash. Worse still, Don Thousand attacks with his new monster but Nash is ready and activates Tidal Advantage to halve Numeronious' ATK to 5000 and prevent Silent Honor DARK's destruction in battle, bringing them duo down to 1100 LPs.
As a result, Astral World takes more damage but Ena says to stay strong and believe in Yuma and Astral. Due to Numeronious' second effect, Yuma and Nash lose their monsters and they're summoned to Don Thousand's field in Defense Mode, leaving the duo defenseless while Don Thousand gains Silent Honor DARK (1500) in Defense Mode. Nash admits that Don Thousand has them right where he wants them but Yuma and Astral don't give up and perform their usal ZEXAL transformation. Don Thousand isn't impressed so Yuma and Astral use Shining Draw to get and activate Re-Xyz, letting them Xyz Summon using monsters from the Graveyard. With that, they use Toy Knight and Gagaga Magician in the Graveyard as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode.
Don Thousand responds with Numeronious' 3rd effect to destroy Utopia and replace it with Utopia Ray Victory (Number C39: Utopia Ray Victory in the CG (2800) in Attack Mode, explaining that Utopia Ray Victory cannot attack or use its effects. Yuma and Astral aren't phased and ZEXAL transform a second time before activating Xyz Treasure to draw 3 cards, one for each Xyz Monster on the field. Next he plays Ouroboros Sage (Zexal Server - Ouroboros Sage in the anime) (600) in Attack Mode. Due to OS' effect, Yuma and Astral Special Summon a monster from their Graveyard, like Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (2100) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, OS and Ark equip to Silent Honor DARK, raising its ATK to 5500, then doubling its ATK to 11,000, even impressing Don Thousand. Their attack connects, leaving Don Thousand down to 900 LPs but Numeronious survives thanks to its 4th effect.
Worse still, since they've battled Numeronius, it now destroys Yuma and Nash's monsters, then Special Summons Utopia Ray Victory, Utopia, Silent Honor ARK, and Silent Honor DARK in Defense Mode to Don Thousand's field. Yuma and Astral split and learn that Astral was more hurt in his first battle with Don Thousand than Don Thousand was. Furthermore, Don Thousand admits to manipulating the others and found their resistance to be minimal at best. Yuma has heard enough of Don Thousand's lecture and sets 4 cards to end his turn. Don Thousand still believes they won't win and draws before activating Numeron Storm to destroy Yuma and Nash's Spell and Trap Cards and deal them 1000 damage since he himself controls Numeronious, bringing them down to just 100 LPs. Confidednt they have no hope left, Don Thousand attacks directly.
Yuma is willing to admit defeat but Kite's spirit protests it's not his style and reminds them of the card he gave them. Yuma gets it out and it's revealed as Number 100: Numeron Dragon, which he plays (0000) in Defense Mode from his Extra Deck since they're being attacked directly. (The real card can only be Special Summoned from the Graveyard when the player's hand and field are empty.) Since a replay occured, Don Thousand attacks Numeron Dragon but due to Numeron Dragon's 2nd effect, Numeronius loses all its ATK, bringing its ATK to 0. (The real card doesn't have this effect.) Even so, Numeronius' effect destroys Numeron Dragon after the attack. Due to Numeron Dragon's 3rd effect, Don Thousand's monsters are destroyed too. As a bonus, Yuma and Nash get the destroyed Spells and Traps back.  (The real card must be destroyed by a card effect to activate this effect, and it was in this case. Also, the real card lets both players Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from their Graveyard to their field.)
Despite their celebration, their efforts has only made Don Thousand stronger as he can now use Numeronius as Xyz Material for Chaos Imaginary Number 1000: Numeronius Numeronia (100,000) in Attack Mode. Nash doesn't even understand how such a powerful monster is possible but while Numeronia cannot attack, they have to attack it or lose automatically at the end of the turn. (This card does technically exist in the CG, though it's a Boss Monster and not an Xyz Monster at all, not to mention I don't think it's an official card. Therefore it won't count as being released here.) Yuma, Astral and Nash are willing to keep going until the very end in spite of the overwhelming odds against then. Yuma and Astral merge for their ultimate ZEXAL form and not even Don Thousand has felt so much power before. Next, they activate Session Draw to draw 2 cards and if they're monsters with the same Level, he can Xyz Summon. (While true for normal conditions in the anime, in this case, it allows Yuma to draw during Nash's Draw Phase and if the two of them get a monster with the same Level, then they can Xyz Summon.)
With Don Thousand ending his turn, it's the moment of truth for the two of them. Each one draws a Level 5 monster so they use them as Xyz Material for Number 73: Abyss Splash (2400) in Attack Mode. After that, Yuma activates Utopia Rising to Special Summon Number 39: Utopia from the Graveyard and equip it with UR. Furthermore, Nash activates Bonds of Hope to revive Numeron Dragon from the Graveyard since they Special Summoned an Xyz Monster to their field, then it gives Xyz Materials from one Xyz Monster to another so Nash gives Abyss Splash's Xyz Materials to Utopia. Additionally, UR lets Utopia gain the effects of the other two, making it seem like Yuma. Kite and Nash are fighting as one. They'll fight as a team and put Don Thousand down once and for all!
