Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 7)
*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 158: Fate of the Pharaoh (3)
Nightmare Binding Anime Normal Spell Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. It loses 800 ATK, then you gain 800 Life Points. That monster's effect(s) cannot be activated, and it cannot be Tributed. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | Would certainly see more play than Fiendish Chain, which won't affect the likes of Jinzo but this will and it even goes further than Darkworld Shackles or FC. |
Limit Tribute Anime Continuous Trap Both players can only Tribute 1 monster per turn. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | If Mask of Restrict isn't seeing any play, this won't either because that one Tribute could be for Moebius the Frost Monarch, which means lights out for this card, not to mention whatever Tribute you do, beit cost or otherwise, that's it for that turn and that applies to both players. |
Aid to the Doomed Anime Quick-Play Spell Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Discard 2 cards, then negate the attack. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | About as situational as Rescuer from the Grave because the only real difference is the cost. |
Hand Control Anime Normal Spell Declare 1 card name. If the declared card is in your opponent's hand, your opponent must activate or Summon it, if the conditions are correct. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | This is a gamble in itself because having a card that can be played is pretty unlikely, especially with so many situaitonal cards out there these days. |
Episode 157: Fate of the Pharaoh (2)
Crystal Seal Anime Continuous Trap Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. That monster cannot attack, be Tributed, change its Battle Position, activate its effect(s), or be selected as an attack target. If your opponent controls no other monsters, monsters you control can attack your opponent directly. If that monster's ATK increases, destroy this card. This card cannot be destroyed by other card effects. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | With so many ways to increase ATK, this card would certainly not be on the field all that long. |
Self Tribute Anime Quick-Play Spell Activate only if 1 or more of your monsters would be destroyed. Pay 1000 Life Points. Those monsters cannot be destroyed this turn. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | We have far better ways to prevent a monster's destruction, or heck even your entire lineup of monsters' destruction than this, and even without a cost. |
Episode 156: Fate of the Pharaoh (1)
Purity of the Cemetery Anime Continuous Spell During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, inflict 100 damage to your opponent for each monster in your opponent's Graveyard. If there is a Monster Card in your Graveyard, destroy this card. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | This'd need quite a buff to become even remotely playable because as it stands, there's no way you'd be able to effectively keep monsters out of your Graveyard without putting monsters in your opponent's, not to mention that burn damage is better used with Graverobber's Retribution. |
Rescuer from the Grave Anime Normal Spell Once, while this card is in your Graveyard, when an opponent's monster declares an attack, you can remove from play 5 cards from your Graveyard to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Negate Attack is the all around better counterpart to this. |
Pump Up Anime Normal Spell Select 1 face-up monster on the field. Double its ATK until the End Phase. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | Limiter Removal for any monster you want but it doesn't destroy the monster either. |
Kuribabylon DARK / Fiend / Level 5 / ATK ? / DEF 200 If this card was Special Summoned by the effect of "Kuriba", its ATK is equal to the total ATK of the monsters removed by that effect. If 1 "Kuriba", "Kuribe", "Kuribi", "Kuriboh", and "Kuribu" you own are currently in your Graveyard, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon those monsters. When this card's attack is negated, and 1 "Kuriba", "Kuribe", "Kuribi", "Kuriboh", and "Kuribu" you own are currently in your Graveyard, you can Tribute this card to Special Summon those monsters. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Well why would I make this card's rating any higher than the cards needed to Summon it, especially when its effect relies entirely on that occuring and without it, you'll have a Level 5 weakling on your field. |
Kuribe DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 300 / DEF 200 You can remove from play 1 "Kuriba", "Kuribi", "Kuriboh", "Kuribu", and this card you control to Special Summon 1 "Kuribandit" from your hand or Deck. This card cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | As stated previously, Kuribandit isn't Summoned with this card or any of its comrades' effects in the CG so this'd need a total revamp to be considered playable. |
Kuribu DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 300 / DEF 200 You can discard 1 Trap Card to select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. That monster loses 1500 ATK until the End Phase. This card cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Theoretically, you'd be able to use the effect multiple times per turn but that's if you have a large amount of Trap Cards to discard, though regardless, the ATK loss doesn't last long. |
Kuribi DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 300 / DEF 200 When a face-up "Kuriba", "Kuribe", "Kuribi", "Kuriboh" or "Kuribu" you control is selected as an attack target, you can negate that attack. This card cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | This has a bit more likelihood of getting released as it can negate any attacks made on it or its friends but other than that isn't very good. |
Kuriba DARK / Fiend / Level 1 / ATK 300 / DEF 200 You can remove from play 1 "Kuribe", "Kuribi", "Kuriboh", "Kuribu", and this card you control to Special Summon 1 "Kuribabylon" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. This card cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | This card will suffer too unless it does something far better because Kuribandit doesn't need it or any of its friends and even then, it'd be a really stupid move to do. |
Five-Star Twilight Anime Normal Spell Tribute 1 Level 5 monster. Special Summon 1 "Kuriboh", "Kuriba", "Kuribi", "Kuribe" and "Kuribu" from your hand or Deck. Monsters Special Summoned by this effect cannot be Tributed for a Tribute Summon. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | With Kuribandit already released and not requiring any of the 5 Kuriboh monsters for its Summoning, this'd need a major overhaul because if Kuribabylon is to be released, it'd probably follow Kuribandit's design, thus making this card pointless but even if they did need those 5 monsters, that still wouldn't be enough to warrant using this as you still need to Tribute a Level 5 monster. |
Backup Gardna DARK / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 500 / DEF 2200 You can select an equipped Equip Card on the field and equip it to another appropriate target on the field. When this face-up card is selected as an attack target, you can discard 1 card to negate the attack. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | This could help if either your opponent has one to use to their advantage or you have one equipped to one monster and wish to move it and this card has 2200 DEF to last a while but you probably won't find that many out there when you play this card. |
Episode 153: My Freaky Valentine (2)
Harpie's Feather Storm Anime Counter Trap Activate only during your Battle Phase, when your opponent activates an Effect Monster's effect while you control a face-up "Harpie" monster. Negate the effect, and destroy that monster. Then, end the Battle Phase. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Almost better than Divine Wrath as it also ends the Battle Phase free of charge but you still need to control a Harpie monster and only Cyber Harpie Lady is any good on its own but Divine Wrath doesn't need you to control any particular card on the field. |
Compensation Mediation Anime Normal Trap Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Your opponent selects 2 cards in their Graveyard and shuffles this card with those cards, then Sets them face-down on their side of the field. Reveal 1 of them at random. If you reveal this card, end the Battle Phase. Afterwards, return the opponent's cards to the top of your opponent's Deck. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Definitely not worth the risk because even if you succeed with the effect, your opponent still places their chosen cards on top of their Deck. |
