Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 60)
*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie (4) | |
Reverse of Reverse Anime Normal Trap You can only activate this card when you have no cards in your hand and this is the only card you control on the field. You can activate your opponent's face-down Spell and Trap Cards as if they were your own. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | I don't think even Infernity Decks can make use of this given the activation requirements. |
Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie (2) | |
Obligatory Summon Anime Normal Spell Your opponent must Special Summon as many monsters as possible, from their Deck to the field, of the same Attribute as 1 monster on the field that they control. The effects of the Special Summoned monsters that would activate at the time of being Summoned are negated. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | It worked for Kaiba as a ruse to let him get rid of all 3 of Atem's God Cards but that strategy would fail here as our Pyramid of Light doesn't have anything against them and the effect Winged Dragon of Ra cannot be Special Summoned. |
Episode 136: Victory or Doom
Ghoul Summoner Anime Continuous Trap Select 1 Synchro Monster in your Graveyard, Special Summon it and equip it with this card. When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card. You can discard 1 card from your hand and select 1 Synchro Monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon that monster and take damage equal to its original ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | It may only revolve around Synchro Monsters but that leaves plenty to choose from, especially nowadays since there are Synchros that didn't exist when this card appeared in the anime. Wouldn't recommend using the other effect though. |
Infinite Feast Anime Normal Trap Activate only during the turn a Synchro Monster(s) equipped to an "Infinity" monster you control was sent to the Graveyard. Equip the sent Synchro Monster(s) to a face-up "Infinity" monster you control. Then, inflict 600 damage to your opponent for each time a Synchro Monster was equipped to an "Infinity" monster you control this turn, and gain 600 Life Points. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | The only way we'd be able to use this is if the effect was made to work with Meklord Emperors but even then, it's still pretty situational since you're most likely going to only get 2 Synchros at most with this and thus deal 1200 damage at most but the LP gain is negligible. |
Hardship Anime Continuous Trap Equip this card as an Equip Card to a monster you control. If you would take damage by the effect of an opponent's monster, you can reduce the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster to 0 to reduce all damage from that monster's effects to 0 this turn. When the equipped monster is removed from the field, destroy this card. You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard to destroy the equipped monster, then destroy all face-up Equip Cards on the field and send them to the Graveyard. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Really isn't that helpful at all because the affected monster takes the worst of the effects by either draining its ATK and DEF to save you from effect damage or getting destroyed by the card's other effect. Prime Material Dragon will just give you LP equal to what you would've taken as damage, thus removing the need for this at all. |
Guard Master EARTH / Warrior / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 1700 If this card is in your Graveyard when a face-up Attack Position monster you control is attacked, you can remove this card from play to activate its effect. If you do, change the attacked monster to Defense Position. During this turn, that monster cannot be destroyed by battle. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | You certainly won't want this guy on the field anyway thanks to its low stats and its effect may help save your monster's destruction, thus possibly saving your LP too. |
Dimension Voyage Anime Normal Trap Special Summon as many of your Synchro Monsters that are removed from play as possible. Effect Monsters Special Summoned by this effect cannot attack, and their effects are negated. During the End Phase, remove from play all monsters Special Summoned by this effect. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | If up against a Macro Cosmos-type Deck or just cards that banish your Synchros, this may help but it's kinda situational and the Sycnhros don't last long on the field. |
Revenge Twin Soul Anime Normal Trap Activate only by selecting 1 face-up Defense Position monster you control and removing from play up to 2 Synchro Monsters from your Graveyard when your opponent's monster declares an attack. The selected monster gains DEF equal to the combined Level(s) of the removed Synchro Monster(s) x 100, until the End Phase. During this turn, if that monster is attacked by your opponent's monster that has less ATK than the DEF of that monster, at the end of the Damage Step, destroy the monster that attacked. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | I'd much rather use D2 Shield to double my defnding monster's DEF but this could potentially give you more. |
Episode 135: Fight for the Future
Salvagent EARTH / Spellcaster / Level 2 / ATK 300 / DEF 800 You can Tribute this card to select 1 Synchro Monster in your Graveyard, and Special Summon it. While face-up on the field, its effect(s) is negated, and it is treated as a non-Synchro Monster. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It got Yusei Fudo out of a jam but not by much since he still had other challenges ahead in the Duel and the Synchro Monster loses pretty much all of its defenses to help you when the effect is used. |
Meklord Emperor Creation Anime Normal Trap Send 1 "Sky Core", "Wise Core", and "Grand Core" from your hand to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 "Meklord Astro Mekanikle" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | As it is, we can't use it because it doesn't ignore summoning conditions and we don't have the cards it needs you to ditch into the Graveyard either. |
Episode 134: For Synchro's Sake
Speed Spell - Silent Burn Anime Normal Speed Spell Activate only while you have 4 or more Speed Counters. Inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each monster you control that did not declare an attack this turn. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | This is really only useful if you can't attack anyway, either because of an effect or because your monsters are in Defense Mode. Still, either way, you won't be dealing more than 1500 unless you also control a Link Monster but no one outside Japan will for a while. |
Granel Attack 3 EARTH / Machine / Level 3 / ATK 1800 / DEF 0 If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. Once per turn, if an "Infinity" monster you control destroys an opponent's Synchro Monster by battle, you can equip that monster to a face-up "Infinity" monster you control. During your Battle Phase only, you can treat Synchro Monsters equipped to an "Infinity" monster you control as monsters you control in the Spell & Trap Card Zone, but they cannot attack directly. If you do, during battle between those attacking monsters and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of the attacking monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | A nice wall of text that is rendered useless because of the very first line. Not even its 1800 ATK and low Level will save it the 1/5 star rating. |
Attack Cannon Anime Normal Trap Activate only if a "Meklord Emperor" monster you control attacks your opponent's monster, and that monster is still on the field at the end of the Damage Step. Send 1 face-up "Attack" monster you control to the Graveyard to select 1 monster your opponent controls. Destroy that monster. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | We don't really have any, or all that many, Attack monsters so this probably wouldn't see play but the Meklord Emperors have been made easier to Summon so who knows. |
Wave Wall EARTH / Rock / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 2000 During each of your opponent's Battle Phases, you can negate attacks from monsters your opponent controls, up to the number of face-up Synchro Monsters you control. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | The effect probably won't get you much but the 2000 DEF is the most worthwhile. |
Episode 133: Against All Odds
Infinity Wall Anime Normal Trap Activate only if you control a face-up "Meklord Emperor" monster. Negate any card effects that would destroy a card you control during this turn. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Meklord Emperors have gotten much easier to Summon thanks to Konami so once one of them is out, you'll be able to save all your cards from destruction. |
Episode 132: Dawn of the Machines (Continued)
Speed Spell - Takeover Anime Normal Speed Spell Activate only while you have 4 or more Speed Counters. Select 1 face-up card on the field that has a counter on it. Destroy it, and gain 100 Life Points for each counter on it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Team New World was lucky to have enough counters to gain so many LP but it cost them two of their own team members to get there and they ended up losing. |
Grand Core EARTH / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0 When this card is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, destroy all monster Cards you control. Then, Special Summon 1 "Meklord Emperor Granel Infinity", "Granel Top", "Granel Attack", "Granel Guard", and "Granel Carrier" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | A so-called Grand Core with nothing to show for it except a bunch of self-destructing worthless monsters that have only one use. Even Konami didn't think it was grand enough for release as a real card. |
Infinity Guard Formation Anime Normal Trap Activate only when a card you control would be destroyed by a card effect. Negate the effects of all face-up Effect Monsters you control this turn, then negate that card effect. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | A steep price to pay just to prevent one card's destruction as you'll be worse off than losing that one card, if it is yours. |
Synchro Sonic Anime Normal Trap Destroy face-up Spell/Trap Cards on the field, up to the number of face-up Synchro Monsters you control. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | The more Spell/Trap Cards you want to destroy, the more Synchros you'll need out on your field and each one requires a fair bit of effort. |
Echo Mirror Anime Normal Trap Activate only during the turn a Defense Position monster you control was attacked, but not destroyed by battle. Draw 1 card and reveal it. If that card is a Monster Card, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that card's Level x 300. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | A 1-in-3 chance of even getting a Monster Card but getting one that can make the gamble worthwhile is pretty slim. Plus, your Defense Poisition monster must be attacked and survive the battle first. |
