Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 58)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 127: Tricking the Trickster
Black Wing
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack. Remove from play 1 "Blackwing" monster from your Graveyard to negate the attacks of opponent's monsters with 2000 or more ATK this turn. If there are 2 "Black Wing" in your Graveyard (including this card), you can remove them from play to destroy 1 Synchro Monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls, and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of the opponent's destroyed monster.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's going to cost you resources in your Graveyard and only works against monsters with 2000 or more ATK but that's a good chunk of monsters so it may end up being worth it.
Episode 125: Soul Solutions
Burning Rebirth
Anime Continuous Trap
Tribute 1 face-up Level 8 or higher Synchro Monster to select 1 "Red Dragon Archfiend" in your Graveyard. Special Summon that monster in face-up Attack Position and equip this card as an Equip Card to it. When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is removed from the field, destroy this card. You can send 1 Tuner monster from your hand and this face-up card you control to your Graveyard to Special Summon the Synchro Monster you Tributed for this card's activation.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's pretty strict on both activation requirements and what you can revive, though it's probably just for bringing out Red Nova Dragon, which is what Jack ended up doing.
Raging Sacred Curse
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only if you control a face-up Divine-Beast-Type monster, by selecting 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Until the End Phase, that monster loses 2000 ATK and DEF, and is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unfortunately, the Aesir monsters didn't stay Divine-Beasts upon their release so we're left with the original Egyptian God Cards to use with this, unless Konami decides to make it somewhat more generic.
Tuner's Reflect
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during the turn 2 or more face-up Tuner monsters you control were destroyed. Special Summon 2 of those monsters from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. Then, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the combined ATK of those monsters.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's certainly possible to deal a hefty amount of damage to your opponent with this given not all Tuner monsters have less than 1000 ATK but most do, which'll probably leave you to deal that much or less in most cases.
Episode 124: Duel for Redemption
Reaction Summon
Anime Counter Trap
Activate only when your opponent's monster's ATK is changed. Select 1 Level 4 or lower monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It's easy to alter any monster's ATK so this bound to get activated but it only revives Level 4 or lower monsters.
Episode 110: Primo's Plan (5)
Machine Emperor Granel Infinity
EARTH / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
Other monsters you control cannot attack, except for Synchro Monsters equipped to this card. This card's original ATK and DEF are equal to your Life Points. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of all Synchro Monsters equipped to this card. When this card is destroyed, destroy all monsters you control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The piece that puts the whole robot together and will blow it apart if it's ever destroyed. It can be pretty powerful but prevents all your other monsters from attacking, not that they're worth attacking with anyway.
Granel Carrier
EARTH / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 700 / DEF 700
If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. Once per turn, if a monster you control would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Not much he can carry with only 700 ATK and DEF and isn't going it be much of a guard any more than Granel Guard was.
Granel Guard
EARTH / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 500 / DEF 1000
If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. When a monster you control is selected as an attack target, you can select 1 Synchro Monster equipped to a "Meklord Emperor" you control. Until the end of the Damage Step, treat it as an Attack Position monster you control in the Spell & Trap Card Zone, and change the target to it.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: A guard with only 1000 DEF shouldn't be used for important tasks because they'll be easily taken out without any assistance.
Granel Top
EARTH / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 500 / DEF 0
If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. When a "Infinity" monster you control declares an attack, you can negate the effects of 1 face-up Synchro Monster your opponent controls, until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Its feeble stats are bad enough but when you factor in its inclusion of self-destructing like the other Meklord Emperor piece cards, you'll get a monster not worth running, even with an ant-Synchro Monster effect attached.
Granel Attack
EARTH / Machine / Level 1 / ATK 1300 / DEF 0
If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. Once per turn, if an "Infinity" monster you control destroys an opponent's Synchro Monster by battle, you can equip that monster to a face-up "Infinity" monster you control. During your Battle Phase only, you can treat Synchro Monsters equipped to an "Infinity" monster you control as monsters you control in the Spell & Trap Card Zone, but they cannot attack directly. If you do, during battle between those attacking monsters and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of the attacking monster, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Jacob may be the leader of the three Illyaster emperors but this guy is no leader by any standards and is unworthy of a spot in anyone's Deck. Jacob only did well with it thanks to the writers.
Episode 109: Primo's Plan (4)
Arbitrator
LIGHT / Spellcaster / Level 3 / ATK 1300 / DEF 800
When a card(s) you control is destroyed during the Battle Phase, you can discard this card to end the Battle Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Getting a card you control destroyed is pretty easy, though not as easy as it used to be as more cards nowadays either banish or send off the field, which'd make this card less useful but if it is successful in its effect, it's not all that bad.
Wisel Top 3
DARK / Machine / Level 3 / ATK 600 / DEF 0
If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. Once per turn, you can negate the activation of a Spell/Trap Card and destroy it.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Self-destructing aside, if it IS combined with others, it can become a threat but outside of that, it's as worthless as Larvae Moth.
Wise T3
Anime Normal Trap
Send 1 face-up "Wisel Top" monster you control to the Graveyard. Special Summon 1 "Wisel Top 3" from your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: As we've seen before with Skiel Carrier, the "upgrades" these monsters have are no better than the originals as they have only slightly higher ATK, DEF and Level with no major changes to the effect.
Episode 108: Primo's Plan (3)
Skiel Carrier 5
WIND / Machine / Level 5 / ATK 800 / DEF 400
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 1 face-up "Skiel Carrier 3". If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. Once per turn, you can negate 1 attack from a monster your opponent controls. If a monster you control destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict 300 damage to your opponent.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Skiel Carrier 3 has what I'm going to call a $5 upgrade because it's as bad as Skiel Carrier 3 but with a bit more equally poor options.
Skiel Carrier 3
WIND / Machine / Level 3 / ATK 600 / DEF 200
If you do not control a face-up "Infinity" monster, destroy this card. Once per turn, you can negate 1 attack from a monster your opponent controls.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Regardless of who owns this card (as Primo stole it and Skiel Carrier 5 from Lester), it's completely useless without other Infinity monsters and Konami already realized this.
Explosive Blast
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only during your turn by selecting up to 3 Machine-Type monsters you control that have not battled this turn. Destroy those monsters, then inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Even in a Machine Deck, this isn't the best way to deal damage. You could deal close to maybe more damage than that with other more generic methods.
Emerging Awakening
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when you Normal Summon a monster. Remove from play 1 other monster you control and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the removed monster's Level x 100. During your next Standby Phase, Special Summon the removed monster. It gains ATK equal to its Level x 100.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It'll only work when you Normal Summon and doing so costs you a monster for a turn to deal minor damage to your opponent and maybe get your monster back slightly stronger than before.
Star Shift
Anime Normal Trap
Select 1 Synchro Monster you control. Return it to the Extra Deck, then Special Summon 1 other Synchro Monster with a different name from your Extra Deck with the same Level. That Synchro Monster's effect(s) is negated.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: You could replace your weaker Synchro with a stronger one but the new one doesn't get any of its effects, which leaves it about as vulnerable as the old one, if not more so.
Divergence
Anime Continuous Trap
If a Machine-Type monster you control is targeted by an opponent's attack or card effect, you can switch the target to another appropriate Machine-Type monster you control.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: There are some pretty strong Machine-Type monsters out there and switching to one of them when you control it on your field isn't all that bad but we have better options to make that happen.
Episode 107: Primo's Plan (2) (Continued)
Double Type Rescue
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only while you control 2 or more different Types of monsters and your opponent controls more monsters than you do. Select and Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Unless your Deck is stacked with only one Monster Card type, you're bound to get some use out of this but you're still required to be outnumbered in monsters.
