Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 25)

*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
**Stone Leveler is my made-up name as there was no dub name available.
Episode 73: Source of Strength
Dyna Base
EARTH / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 0 / DEF 2100
You can Tribute this face-up card and 1 Dinosaur-Type monster from your hand to Special Summon 1 "Dyna Tank" from your Fusion Deck. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.)
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Its 2100 DEF is really the only good thing about it because otherwise, it's a risky move to remove it from the field just for a Fusion Monster that may not stick around or be strong enough.
Ace of Wand
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only when a monster(s) on the field is destroyed except by battle. Toss a coin:  ● Heads: The controller(s) of those monsters gain Life Points equal to their ATK(s). ● Tails: The controller(s) of those monsters take damage equal to their ATK(s).
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Once again, it's another poor gamble card that only Joey Wheeler, or in this case Sartorius, would use.
Pentacle of Ace
Anime Normal Spell
Toss a coin: ● Heads: Draw 1 card and gain 500 Life Points. ● Tails: Your opponent draws 1 card and gains 500 Life Points.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Only one player gets these perks and even if it's you, it's hardly worth it.
Future Vision
Anime Normal Spell
Activate only while your opponent controls a face-up monster. You pick up cards from the top of their Deck until you pick up a Monster Card. If it is the same Type as the monster on your opponents side of the field, your opponent gains 1000 Life Points and all cards that were picked up return to their Deck in the same order.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: You may know what's coming next but that's hardly worth not getting anything else out of it while your opponent could get a free LP boost.
Episode 72: Not Playing with a Full Deck
Recycle Barrier
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only if you would take Battle Damage. You take no Battle Damage this turn. During your Standby Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard, you can discard 1 Trap Card to the Graveyard to add this card to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Just use one of the better card to avoid Battle Damage and Mask of Darkness to get Traps back.
Super Guard
Anime Continuous Spell
During each of your Standby Phases, pay 500 Life Points. While this card is face-up on the field, monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle, and you must skip your Battle Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: You're paying LPs to just protect your monsters from destruction but cannot even attack. It's basically just a pitiful stall card.
Neos Energy
Anime Equip Spell
Equip only to a "Neo-Spacian" monster. It gains 800 ATK. During each of your Standby Phases, it loses 300 ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Even Stim-Pack is more versatile than this because it can go to any monster, though neither card is worthwhile to use.
Gachi Battle
Anime Continuous Trap
During each player's Main Phase 1, that player must Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from their Deck in face-up Attack Position. Those monsters are destroyed during the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The monsters don't even stick around and X only used it to thin Jaden's Deck, which is a poor reason to use it.
Soul Connection
Anime Normal Trap
Add 1 Monster Card from your Deck to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A little slow but you do get to choose any monster you want from your Deck, though it'll be revealed so it won't be much of a surprise to your opponent.
Purse with a Hole
Anime Normal Trap
Activate only while your opponent has 6 or more cards in their hand. Send random cards from their hand to the Graveyard until they have 5 cards in their hand. For the rest of this turn, your opponent cannot play cards from their hand.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Initially, I thought this had a slight chance but then remembered that now the 1st player doesn't draw so this card's activation requirements aren't met and probably won't be for a while. Regardless, your opponent won't be losing that much most of the time anyway. It only proved devastating against Jaden because he had 10 cards in his hand thanks to the previous card's effect.
Stone Leveler**
EARTH / Rock / Level 2 / ATK 500 / DEF 500
FLIP: Return all monsters on the field to the Decks. Then, each player must draw cards equal to the combined Levels of their returned monsters, and reveal those cards. If a player doesn't draw 1 of their returned monsters, they must discard all cards they drew.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The fact that it has a card name that I give it since the Dub never did is irrelevent when it's a major gamble for both players. X did use this card against Jaden but was lucky to actually have a card to help turn the table when Jaden got to keep the cards this card gave him.
Monster Register
Anime Continuous Trap
Pay 1000 Life Points to activate this card. Each time a monster(s) is Summoned, the controller of the Summoned monster must send cards from the top of their Deck to the Graveyard equal to the Level(s) of the Summoned monster(s).
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It was only used in combination with the card below, which makes it a bad strategy out of the gates. Jaden only struggled because he's overal a pretty bad duelist.
Trap Sluzer
DARK / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 800 / DEF 1300
While this card is in face-up Attack Position, you are unaffected by the effects of Continuous Trap Cards.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Its only perk is mitigated by the fact that it has weak stats, must be in Attack Position and only makes you immune to Continuous Trap Cards.
Elegant Light LV4
Anime Normal Trap
When this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Since you won't be activating it like other Trap Cards, you might as well discard it to trigger the effect but it's also the only way it can be activated and does nothing else afterwards.
Episode 71: Duel Fellas (Continued)
Stage Select
Anime Normal Spell
Shuffle your opponent's Deck. Then, select 1 card from your Deck and place it on top of your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: This worked against Jaden's use of Hero Call but it's not likely going to be that useful to you as it's little more than a stall card, especially with Decks like Exodia.
Hero Call
Anime Normal Trap
Select 1 Monster Card from your Deck and place it on top of your Deck.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: It'll get it right where you need it but then your opponent will see it too and can counter it when you play it next turn.
Element Sword
Anime Equip Spell
If the equipped monster battles a monster whose Attribute is different than the equipped monster's, it gains 800 ATK during the Damage Step only.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: This could see play today, though the ATK boost doesn't last very long and beter ATK boosts exist already.
Shield Recovery
Anime Normal Spell
Place 3 counters on 1 "B.E.S." monster or "Big Core" that you control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: The fact that you'd run a card like this in an already bad Deck only proves you're not as skilled as you might think.
Climax Hour
Anime Normal Spell
During your 3rd Draw Phase after this card's activation, if you draw a Monster Card, you can Special Summon it, ignoring the Summoning conditions.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Even if your Deck is stacked with just monsters (in which case, you're a bad duelist), this won't help you at all given that only a handful of monsters are worth Summoning at all, let alone with a risky gamble like this.
Alert
Anime Normal Trap
Activate 1 face-down Continuous Spell Card you control.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: If you're dumb enough to Set a Continuous Spell, then just activate it without this waste of Deck space.
