Yu-Gi-Oh Anime Cards (Page 13)
*Card effects below are as accurate as possible.
Episode 193: A Brawl in a Small Town (2)
Ruby Dragon WIND / Dragon / Level 4 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1300 With the entire body covered with ruby, this dragon's appearance is very beautiful. It doesn't like fighting and has very high defense power. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | If a DEF of 1300 counts as "very high defense power", then the bar must be raised because that's pretty bad in today's game. |
Tom Thumb EARTH / Warrior / Level 1 / ATK 300 / DEF 500 A giant in training. His skills are not yet fully developed. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | I made up the text that went there as the real text wasn't known but regardless of what text you put there, he's a worthless Normal Monster. |
Episode 192: A Brawl in a Small Town (1)
Glass Slippers Anime Equip Spell When a "Cinderella" equipped with this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent by a direct attack, you can equip this card to a monster your opponent controls. While this card is equipped to a monster your opponent controls, the equipped monster loses 1000 ATK and cannot select "Cinderella" as an attack target. When that monster is destroyed, you can equip this card to a "Cinderella" you control. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | As if glass slippers wasn't a bad enough idea, this card really wouldn't do you much good because Darkworld Shackles already surpasses as you wouldn't want to attack Cinderella anyway since she'll have triple the affected monster's ATK and deals a little burn damage to boot. All Cinderella gets from this is a 1000 ATK boost and that's if equipped from its previous host being destroyed. You can do better with Axe of Despair. |
Pumpkin Carriage EARTH / Plant / Level 3 / ATK 0 / DEF 800 While this card is face-up on the field, "Cinderella" can attack your opponent directly. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Even worse than Cinderella is the carriage she brings out. This is one carriage that would send Cinderella to the hospital instead of the Ball. |
Cinderella LIGHT / Fairy / Level 4 / ATK 300 / DEF 600 When this card is Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Pumpkin Carriage" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Then, you can activate 1 "Glass Slippers" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. When a "Glass Slippers" equipped to another monster is equipped to this card, this card gains 1000 ATK. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Just because Leon had some use for this doesn't make it good. He was just lucky and neither this card, nor either of the cards it brings out are any good. |
Gingerbread House Anime Continuous Spell During each of your opponent's Standby Phases, select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. It gains 600 ATK. If a monster's ATK becomes 2500 or higher by this effect, destroy that monster and gain 500 Life Points. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | You get to use the effect during each of your opponent's turns and may get rid of a threatening monster but reaching 2500 ATK or more isn't necessarily guaranteed. |
Glife the Phantom Bird WIND / Winged Beast / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1200 When this card is Summoned, you can select 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls, and destroy it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | It's searchable so the likes of Flying Kamakiri #1 will trigger its effect but it's not very strong overall and that's all it has to offer effect-wise. |
Curse of Thorns Anime Continuous Spell Select 1 Effect Monster in your opponent's Graveyard, and negate its effect(s). When that monster is removed from the Graveyard, destroy this card. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | I don't recall having a permanent disabler for Effect Monsters in the Graveyard but most Effect Monsters activate once when their conditions are met. For the few that do activate continuously like Marie the Fallen One, this may not be too bad, though still not great. |
Forest Wolf EARTH / Beast / Level 3 / ATK 1800 / DEF 300 If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, equip that monster to this card. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon all monsters equipped to this card by this effect to their owners' sides of the field. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 3 |
Comments: | It's already good to start but add in Equip Spells or other ATK boosts and it'll definitely get strong in no time. Too bad the owners get their monsters back if it's destroyed and you probably won't be the lucky one to get a monster back unless this guy is your opponent's monster. Of course, that means losing your monsters to it first. |
Episode 191: Down in Flames (2) (Continued)
Rainbow Bridge Bifrost Anime Normal Spell Select 1 face-up "Valkyrie" monster you control. It gains 500 ATK for each removed from play monster, until the End Phase. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Much like the other Valkyrie support cards, this may work with ones we have that aren't entirely Valkyrie monsters like Magician's Valkyria so until this card is released without that allowance, it'll get 2 out of 5 stars. |
Enchanted Sword Nothung Anime Equip Spell The equipped monster gains 400 ATK. When you equip this card, destroy and remove from play all face-up Dragon-Type monsters your opponent controls. If the equipped monster battles a Dragon-Type monster, destroy that monster at the start of the Damage Step, without applying damage calculation. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | The ATK boost is pretty minimal but if your opponent is running Dragons, this isn't a bad card to counter them. |
Valkyrie Brunhilde LIGHT / Fairy / Level 7 / ATK 1800 / DEF 2000 While this card is in face-up Attack Position, it gains 300 ATK for each Dragon-Type and Warrior-Type monster on the field. If this card would be destroyed by battle, you can have it lose 1000 DEF instead. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Konami continues to release Dragons and Warriors so this'd see some play but it's also a Level 7 monster and those stats don't really justify Tribute Summoning it, nor does lowering its DEF by 1000 to prevent its destruction in battle. |
Apple of Enlightenment Anime Normal Trap When this card is removed from the field, draw 1 card. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | Used in multiples, it's good bait to draw up to 3 cards for your opponent's effort but that also means less room for cards where you need to defend your LP and/or save your monsters. |
Swan Maiden Anime Normal Spell Special Summon 1 "Valkyrie" monster from your hand. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 2 |
Comments: | You can do what you want with that Valkyrie monster, which is pretty much the only reason this card's rating is getting more than 1 star. |
Loge's Flame Anime Continuous Trap Your opponent cannot attack with monsters that have 2000 or less ATK. When a monster is attacked, destroy this card. When this card is removed from the field, you can Special Summon 1 "Valkerie Brunhilde" from your hand or Deck. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | The only real threats within this card's range have 1800 ATK, 1900 ATK and of course 2000 ATK. Although there are quite a few monsters that have those values, today's meta could easily get around this, especially since it self-destructs when a monster is attacked. |
Goddess Verdandi's Guidance Anime Continuous Spell Once per turn, you can declare the card type (Monster, Spell or Trap) of the top card of your opponent's Deck. If you guess correctly, apply an appropriate effect: ● Monster Card: Your opponent Special Summons it in face-down Defense Position. ● Spell or Trap Card: Your opponent Sets it. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Though this has probably the highest chance of seeing play as is, unless it's used with the other two cards, those are just free cards for your opponent. |
Goddess Urd's Verdict Anime Continuous Spell Once per turn, you can select 1 face-down card your opponent controls and declare a card name. If that card is the declared card, remove that card from play. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Same as Goddess Skuld's Oracle's comments. |
Goddess Skuld's Oracle Anime Continuous Spell Once per turn, you can look at the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck and return them to the top of the Deck in any order. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | Using this card with the other two Goddess cards Zigfried used isn't enough to warrant me giving this card a higher rating because they're pretty well useless on their own. |
Nibelung's Ring Anime Equip Spell During your Draw Phase, draw 2 cards instead of conducting your normal draw. If a Monster Card(s) is drawn this way, you must discard 1 of them. The equipped monster cannot attack or be Tributed, and its effect(s) is negated. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 1 |
Comments: | The card Zigfried always activated with Nibelung's Treasure, which indicates to me that it's otherwise a waste of Deck space. |
Nibelung's Treasure Anime Normal Spell Select 1 Spell Card from your Deck and activate it to your opponent's side of the field (if the conditions are correct). Then, draw 5 cards. COMMON |
|
Rating: | 4 |
Comments: | You could give your opponent your most powerful Equip Spell like Darkworld Shackles and thus weaken their monster and add to your hand size so this will certainly see nerfing should it ever get released. |
