Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie (2)
Kaiba is unphased by Pegasus' words and draws before using Dark Core to discard Y-Dragon Head and remove from play his own X-Head Cannon. Next he uses Soul Release to remove from play the YDH he discarded. Then he summons Z-Metal Tank (1500) in Attack Mode. Now he uses Return from the Different Dimension to Special Summon X-Head Cannon (1800) and Y-Dragon Head (1500) in Attack Mode from his removed from play area. After that, he combines them for XYZ-Dragon Cannon (2800) in Attack Mode. With that done, he uses XYZDC's effect to discard 1 card and destroy Toon World, thus destroying all of Pegasus' monsters. His direct attack wins the duel but Kaiba finds 2 cards to defeat the God Cards and takes them without believing anything Pegasus says in response.
At the exhibit, Tea` and Yugi are confident the crowd won't find them there and they discover a new kind of exhibit that includes the blue pendant from before. They move into the room where Anubis' tomb lies and Tea` is quick to escort herself and Yugi into the next room for fear of getting sick. As they walk away, the mummy shows some signs of life but in the next room, Yugi and Tea` find Solomon and the three discuss the matter to learn that it's called the Pyramid of Light and the legend behind it that connects to Atem. They return to Anubis' tomb and learn what the inscription on the sarcophagus says before the trio are knocked to the floor. Yugi finds himself in another world and sees possible future events yet to come and requests Tea` read him the story about the bunny but Tea` is in no mood to comply as the mummy has escaped with the Pyramid of Light pendant.
Fearing Kaiba is in danger, Yugi races out, instructing Tea` to watch Solomon. Outside, Yugi finds Mokuba, whom orders to come along with his Duel Disk as Kaiba has instructed. Elsewhere, Joey and Tristan are reeling from being trampled upon by the crowd but are too worn out to actually get much of an argument and encounter Yugi just as he's leaving in Kaiba's limo. When they arrive, Yugi is instructed to visit the top floor where Kaiba is waiting. Once in the elevator, Yugi gets set up to duel before he chats with Atem about the supposed battle with Anubis 5000 years ago with the God Cards between them but Atem has no memories of this event but they'll face the future together. Joey and Tristan arrive to learn where Yugi is headed and why while Atem and Kaiba greet at the top and Kaiba recalls the successful simulation he had earlier.
Joey, Tristan and eventually Mokuba arrive to see the duel about to take place but despite Atem's words, Kaiba doesn't buy any of it and orders Mokuba to seal the exits. After Kaiba declares to expose Atem as a fraud when Atem loses, Kaiba draws and summons Familiar Knight (1400) in Defense Mode. Atem then draws and summons Queen's Knight (1500) in Attack Mode and takes out FK. However, this activates FK's effect to let Kaiba play Rare Metal Dragon (2400) and Atem play King's Knight (1600) in Attack Mode (though at 36:22 into the movie, both KK and QK's cards are mirrored). In addition, due to KK's effect, Atem Special Summons Jack's Knight (1900) in Attack Mode, then sets 1 card to end his turn.
Kaiba draws one of his new cards and sets it on the field to end his turn. Atem's draw is one he and Yugi feel and they see it's Slifer so Atem tributes his monsters for Slifer the Sky Dragon (X000) in Attack Mode. With 3 cards in hand, Slifer has 3000 ATK and DEF and Atem uses his attack to take out RMD to leave Kaiba down to 3400 LPs. Kaiba isn't afraid and uses Obligatory Summon to force Atem to Special Summon Obelisk the Tormentor (4000) and The Winged Dragon of Ra (????) in Attack Mode. Since this is what Kaiba wanted, Kaiba activates Pyramid of Light to remove them from play while surrounding the two of them in a pyramid. (The real card destroys and removes from play Andro Sphinx and Spinx Teleia when the card itself is removed from the field.)
Mokuba's excitement turns to bewilderment as he sees the strange symbol from before and Yugi is drawn back into the Millennium Puzzle against his will. The symbol draws out Joey and Tristans' souls and captures them before part of the Kaiba Dome collapses and allows a pillar of light from the pyramid to shoot skyward. Tea` and Solomon arrive to see the pillar and Solomon bets its related to the Pyramid of Light pendant. Yugi and Joey and Tristan find themselves in different areas of the Millennium Puzzle and Yugi knows he has to find Atem to reconnect but has no idea which door leads to his room. He goes through multiple rooms to no avail and his cries are heard by Joey and Tristan, whom race to help.
At the duel, Kaiba plans to take Atem down piece by piece and uses Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Atem's face down card, then summons Peten the Dark Clown (500) in Attack Mode. His direct attack leaves Atem in pain (and it's uncensored as shown at 43:52 into the movie) and down to 3500 LPs. Atem draws, unclear of how his energy was drained from the attack and plays Magician's Valkyria (1600) in Attack Mode. His attack takes out Petan and leaves Kaiba shaken and down to 2300 LPs. However, this activates Kaiba's face down Deck Destruction Virus to force Atem to send 10 random cards of his Deck to the Graveyard since Kaiba's monster was destroyed (though the card's lore at 44:47 indicates that a DARK Fiend-Type monster had to be destroyed and as you'll soon see, Peten is a DARK Spellcaster-Type monster.) Worse still, Kaiba uses Peten's effect to Special Summon another Peten the Dark Clown (1200) in Defense Mode.
Kaiba then draws and summons Des Feral Imp (1800) in Defense Mode, then uses Card of Demise to draw cards until he has 5 cards in his hand. Next he uses White Dragon Ritual to tribute DFI for Paladin of White Dragon (1900) in Attack Mode. His attack takes out MV and leaves Atem down to 3200 LPs. Kaiba then uses PoWD's other effect to tribute itself for Blue-Eyes White Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode before setting 1 card to end his turn (and at 46:17 into the movie, you can see that Peten is a Spellcaster-Type monster like the real card). While Kaiba waits for any further requests Atem has, Yugi believes he's found Atem and gives chase, finding himself in a different room with Anubis as Atem's soul is absorbed.
Worse still, Anubis opens multiple sarcophagi in the room and unleashes an army of mummies that swarm Yugi and give chase when Yugi starts running. Joey and Tristan encounter Yugi but are told to start running right away. Back in the Kaiba Dome, Solomon and Tea` arrive but are uncertain about what they're looking at and learn what's happened from Mokuba. Atem cannot let it continue and uses Premature Burial to revive Magician's Valkyria in Attack Mode for 800 LPs, brining him down to 2400 LPs. Next he equips her with Mage Power, giving her 500 ATK per Spell and Trap Card Atem has, raising her ATK by 1000 to 2600 then to 3600 when Atem sets 2 more cards. His attack prompts Kaiba to use Attack Guidance Armor and make Peten the attack target, destroying Peten and forcing Atem to lose another 10 random cards from his Deck by Deck Destruction Virus' effect.
