Bonds Beyond Time (1) | |
We find a city under attack from Cyber End Dragon and Rainbow Dragon with Jaden
in the middle of it. He calls on Elemental HERO Neos
to defend himself before a man appears and Professor Banner appears to realize
that the other man is responsible. Jaden is too excited but Yubel (with a
different voice) reminds him of the destruction the other man has caused. The
other man is ready to finish Jaden off and the events of Zero Reverse unfold
until Yusei awakens and heads outside. Jack and Crow know Yusei had the bad
dream and try to convince him to forget about it and move on but it's not that
simple for Yusei. To cheer Yusei up, the trio decide to ride on their Duel
Runners when the man from before appears on his own Duel Runner and challenges
them to a duel. Yusei takes up the challenge and eventually Synchro Summons Stardust Dragon (2500) in Attack Mode (though the graphic at 5:00 into the movie is also using the Japanese version like Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie did). However, The other man uses a blank card to take SD and head off before the group can learn who he is. At their hideout, the group discuss the matter before Akiza, Leo and Luna arrive with info from their research of Duel Monsters history. The trio quickly ID the characters in the image but it's not what Yusei was meant to see (and Akiza's cleavage is not edited at 7:08 into the movie) and on the next page, Yusei gets a shock because SD didn't exist years ago but it seems somehow it did and no one was aware of it. Worse still, a new phenomenon brings the group outside to see that the world is ending and their signer marks glow. The Crimson Dragon appears and leads Yusei away while Jaden loses Neos and finds himself under attack from the corrupted Stardust Dragon. However, the Crimson Dragon intercepts and the other man speeds off, leaving Jaden and Yusei clueless as to what happened. After learning what each others' info is, Jaden shares how it all started. Jaden still doesn't fully understand but a quick check on the Duel Monsters database confirms it and Jaden loses Neos and the world around him. Yusei decides they should go to another time as well and we find Yugi and Solomon amongst a crowd waiting for Maximillion Pegasus to arrive. When he does, the other man is also there and right at noon, he attacks and makes buildings crumble. What's worse is that when Yugi comes to, he finds Solomon's bandana and knows Solomon is gone. The man's work is complete and Duel Monsters is no more but the Crimson Dragon brings Yugi, Jaden and Yusei together on the roof of a building 25 minutes earlier and Yugi learns what's going on and who he's with. After analyzing what he's been told, Yugi agrees to join forces to take the man down. To prevent what's to come from happening, Jaden orders Yubel to scare everyone away with success until the man appears and reveals himself as Paradox, whom is also from the future. Paradox is here because of a bleak future involving Duel Monsters. However, Yusei notes that Paradox is also destroying people but that's what Paradox is looking forward to the most. The group agree on a duel and duel preparations get underway with Yugi becoming Yami. Paradox draws and activates Malefic World, a Field Spell that not only alters their surroundings but lets Paradox add a random Malefic monster from his Deck to his hand instead of entering his Draw Phase. (The real card lets you pick 3 Malefic monsters, then your opponent chooses 1 for you to keep.) Next he sends Cyber End Dragon from his Extra Deck to the Graveyard to play Malefic Cyber End Dragon (4000) in Attack Mode. (The real card is Summoned by removing from play Cyber End Dragon from your Extra Deck.) Jaden, Yusei and Atem analyze what happened before Paradox sets 1 card to end his turn. |
