At the duel, Mizar still can't believe his strategy has failed,
including Trey and Quinton stealing his Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon
Dragon and rendering his Chaos Drawn Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One
useless. Nevertheless, he summons Heliosphere
Dragon (0000) in Attack Mode and while it's Mizar's only monster,
Trey and Quinton cannot attack. (The real card also requires your
opponent to have 4 or less cards in their hand, which is true in this
case.) Quinton realizes it's to stall for time until Mizar can get
Number 107 back. With that, Mizar sets 1 card to end his turn. While
Yuma worries about Trey and Quinton, Quinton draws and activates
Number Lifter to revive
Number 9: Dyson Sphere (2800) in Attack
Mode but without its effects. Next he activates
Rank-Up Return to retrieve Rank-Up-Magic
Argent Chaos Force from the Graveyard, which he then plays by
using Number 9 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number
9: Chaos Dyson Sphere (Number C9: Chaos Dyson Sphere in the CG)
(3600) in Attack Mode. What's more, is that thanks to Chaos Dyson Sphere's effect, it'll attach any monster it battles to itself as Xyz Material and Quinton can inflict 500 damage to Mizar for each of its Xyz Materials. (The real card deals 800 damage for each Xyz Material you detach from it and deals 300 damage for each Xyz Material attached to it, though requires you to detach an Xyz Material to use the effect.) Regardless, Mizar knows that with only one Xyz Material, it'd take 100 turns of this to cost him the duel but Mizar is unaware of Chaos Atlandis' other effect and the duo use it to detach 3 Xyz Materials to reduce Mizar's LPs to 1. (The real card reduces the opponent's LPs to 100. I'll also note that it would only take 8 turns to win with this method.) For further insult, Quinton uses Chaos Dyson Sphere's effect to detach its only Xyz Material and wipe out Mizar's remaining LPs. While Kite and Orbital 7 prepare to launch their ship, Trey and Quinton learn that Mizar has survived thanks to his Damage Rebound Trap, which they activated by dealing Mizar damage. As a result, Mizar took no further damage and now Trey and Quinton must choose a card ro return to the Deck and if it's a monster, they'll take its ATK as damage. While Trey doesn't see how they can send a card without losing, Quinton remembers the Number 107 equipped to Chaos Atlandis, which isn't a monster so sending it won't cost them any LPs. Left with no other choice, that's what the team does, returning Chaos Atlandis' ATK to 3300 but returning Number 107 back to Mizar. Nevertheless, Quinton uses another of Chaos Dyson Sphere's effects to detach an Xyz Material from itself and deal 800 damage to Mizar. However, Mizar is ready and activates Damage Alteration to reduce the damage to 0 and Special Summon a monster whose ATK equals the damage he would've taken. Mizar chooses to bring out Parsec the Interstellar Dragon (800) in Attack Mode. Quinton set 1 card to end his turn but while Girag tangles up Nash by Don Thousand's orders, Mizar draws and activates Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One to revive Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode, then use it as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon (4500) in Attack Mode. (The real Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One can only be activated after it's been drawn during your Draw Phase that turn so it'd be useless here.) Trey is impressed but Quinton is prepared and activates Monopole Chain to prevent Mizar's monsters from attacking while he himself has Chaos Number 9 out. As a bonus, Quinton activates Atlandis Invitation to destroy Mizar's monster if it doesn't attack durng the End Phase and Mizar will take damage equal to its ATK so long as the duo control Chaos Atlandis. Unfortunately, Trey and Quinton have underestimated Mizar's monster as Mizar uses his monster's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and restore all other cards to what they were at the start of the turn. (The real card simply negates the effects of all other face-up cards on the field and prevents the opponent from activating any cards.) Quinton proceeds to activate his Monopole Chain again but is unable to thanks to Neo Tachyon Dragon's effect. Even worse, Mizar uses its other effect to remove from play his other two monsters and let Neo Tachyon Dragon attack three times. (The real card Tributes 2 monsters to get this effect, but only if it has regular 107 as Xyz Material, which isn't the case here.) Meanwhile, Kite takes off and the trio in the duel watch him disappear. Quinton asks Mizar how it feels to be played since the two of them were just distracting Mizar to allow Kite to go to the moon. They inform Yuma and the others, revealing that Kite's mission was to go to the moon to take on a theory on the Numeron Code and Jinlon's ruins, based on a conversation he had with Kite. Tori realizes Quinton and Trey were out to help all along but while Yuma is about to head back, Quinton protests otherwise and Mizar wants the duel over with. Mizar's first two attacks connect, leaving the duo defenseless and down to just 700 LPs. The group watch in horror as Mizar's 3rd attack wipes both Trey and Quinton out and transports them to Barian World. Kite pays no attention to their loss and resumes the flight but acknowledges Orbital's announcement of it. As his Galaxy-Eyes card glows, they're nearing the moon and Mizar makes it his mission too once he finds his Number 107 card glowing. Whatever happens, Astral and the others will be with Yuma but Yuma fears it won't be enough. |
