Episode 112: Memory Thief (1) |
Yuma is in his room, unwilling to heed Kari's yelling, even when Kari
adds a threat. Tori arrives and learns that the ordeal has been going on
all day. It's clear to Tori that Yuma is still worried about Astral and
Yuma is in tears after recalling how it went down. Meanwhile, Vector has
arrived at Don Thousand's palace, a feat few have accomplished. In fact,
Vector feels he may not be worthy of being there. Regardless, a floating
orb catches his attention and finds out it's exactly as he figures, the
remnants of Number 96, which was originally a part of Don Thousand
himself. His original battle with Astral was so strong that part of him
splintered off into Number 96. Vector gets a taste and it's unlike
anything he'd ever felt before. However, it's not time for him to use it
and take Yuma down so Don Thousand remove it from Vector's body as they
have another more important task to complete first. A ball with several lights on it appears and Vector learns it's a Fusioniser to combine Barian World with the human world. Vector isn't sure it's even possible but is forced to believe Don Thousand in order to avoid any consequences. Combining the two worlds will unleash a greater power than they've ever seen before. Don Thousand gives Vector his thrown for the time being as well as four powerful Number cards to help spread destruction in the human world. Vector takes a seat but finds himself trapped in a vine-like grip. That night, Yuma cannot sleep as he's too upset about Astral and a quick look at his cards on the floor makes him regret dueling or dealing with Number cards. He's so angry that he picks up the majority of his Deck and is about to throw it but Astral's spirit calls out to him and makes him remember the deal he made with Astral after their duel. Yuma isn't so sure he has what it takes to keep the Numbers safe but the next day, we find Shark in the hospital with Rio when Tori arrives with a bouquet of flowers. Shark makes no eye contact but is able to talk to her and isn't concerned with Yuma at the moment. Tori heads out while Shark questions whether he's a Barian or not. Back in Barian World, Heartland has arrived as a fly but Vector turns him back into a human and gives Heartland his own Number Card. Heartland is honored and gets additional backup before assuring he won't fail and disappears with his group. Elsewhere, Bronk and the others each share a surprise for each other as well as gloating about their lunch. It's all to cheer Yuma up but it doesn't work and they all understand how Yuma feels. That night, Yuma finally has something to eat but cannot shake tears while Erazure targets an unsuspecting duelist. Worse still, it's one of several similar events of the night and Kari is reading up on it. What's not clear to her is whom is behind it. Down below the ocean, Quninton, Trey and Quattro have learned about Astral's disappearance from Yuma and agree to help by having Trey look after Yuma. The next morning, Bronk brings up last night's memory thief events and they figure it'd be perfect to get Yuma back to his normal self. They head off while Heartland has gotten suspicious about Erazure's mischief. They were supposed to go after Yuma's Number cards and Erazure admits to his wrongdoing. However, the fact that Bronk and the others are snooping around is caught by Heartland's cameras so Erazure finds them and makes them his next victims. While Yuma lays about, a fly enters and projects a hologram of Heartland, whom explains the story and it's more than enough to get Yuma up and about and out the door. Yuma arrives in short order and learns that Erazure is behind his friends' lack of response. Yuma has a difficult choice to make, put up his Number cards and risk losing them and his memories, or leave his friends in a dazed state. However, Heartland protests that Yuma doesn't have a reason to duel since it's not really his fight. Furthermore, he offers to help out by restoring his friends' memories and take away memories of Astral. All Yuma has to do is give up all his Number cards. Yuma recalls his past memories and it's enough for him to decline Heartland's offer. A voice commends him for it and it's Trey that appears with a sword thrown to the ground. Trey and his friends had been follwoing the conflict with Astral World and Barian World when he found out. He's sorry for Yuma's loss but now they're together to fight. Heartland isn't convinced and sends some flies their way but Trey's marker neutralizes them instantly much to Heartland's surprise. Trey found a way to harness the power his father gave him and Yuma realizes how much Trey has done to help. With that, Yuma gets opens his Deck box and gives Trey his two Number cards, certain Astral would agree. Erazure realizes they're actually going to try and fight and joins them, agreeing to take the duo on together. With that, duel preparations get underway before Heartland decides to raise the stakes by halving Trey and Yumas' LPs to 2000 and adding the amount to Erazure's score, giving him 8000. Trey and Yuma don't like where this is headed at all! |
