| Episode 77: Rule Duel | |

At school, voting of some kind is in and Caswell is nervous but the end result
is that Yuma is now class representative. Yuma has to be woken up to get the
news but even that doesn't make him believe it until Ray comes in to note that
he also voted for Yuma. However, the students are eager for a change at the
school and Yuma makes promises (that I'm sure he won't be able to deliver on,
kind of like real presidential elections). One individual isn't happy either and
declares that Yuma must be stopped due to his persistent failures. Girag agrees,
revealing the other person as Carlyle and Carlyle has a plan since he's already
Student Class President. Carlyle elects Caswell to help out and Bronk shows the membership card he's made and shares the ones he's made for everyone but Ray. However, a whistle interrupts them and Caswell is revealed to be part of the Student Council Chief Disciplinarian but none of the others buy it. Nevertheless, all of them end up getting disciplinary cards for breaking a rule. Yuma acquires so many cards that he's had enough and considers Caswell going too far. Caswell is just doing his job but Carlyle interrupts to suggest a duel that follows all school rules. Duel preparations get underway before Yuma draws and summons Gagaga Magician (1500) in Attack Mode. Since GM's attire is against school rules, the monster goes back to Yuma's hand and Yuma sets 1 card to end his turn. Carlyle draws and activates Mirror Stage of Discipline to keep his monsters' ATK and DEF at their original values. Next he plays Tamagushi the Righteous (1000) in Attack Mode and would make its ATK 0 but MSoD's effect keeps it at 1000. Next he Special Summons Sakaki the Honor Student (1600) in Attack Mode since he controls TtR. Since they're both Level 6, Carlyle uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Norito the Moral Leader (2700) in Attack Mode. His attack forces Yuma to activate Impenetrable Attack but Carlyle uses Norito's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself to negate IA and destroy it. The attack continues and Yuma is down to 1300 LPs before Carlyle sets 1 card to end his turn. Yuma's options are limited since most of his monsters break the rules so he sets 1 monster but Carlyle is ready with Surprise Inspection to reveal Yuma's hidden Gagaga Girl (800) in Defense Mode. Right when GG would leave the field for all of its violations, Yuma activates Clear Robe to make her ATK and DEF 0 and change her wardrobe. Nevertheless, Carlyle is ready and activates another of Norito's effects to detach an Xyz Material to negate and destroy CR, leaving GG to return to Yuma's hand. In retaliation, Yuma discards Tatakawa Knight to deal Carlyle 1500 damage since his own Spell Card was negated, bringing Carlyle down to 2500 LPs. Next, Yuma uses Monster Reborn to bring back Tamagushi in Defense Mode, certain it doesn't break any rules since it's Carlyle's monster. Finally, he sets 1 card to end his turn and Carlyle is quite angry and is ready to expel Yuma in spite of his own rule breaking and even Caswell protests against it. Yuma gets Caswell to remember why he originally signed up to be Student Council President and Caswell not only removes the uniform but ends up in the pool and allows regular dueling. As a result, Carlyle draws and uses Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force to use Norito as Xyz Material for Chaos Xyz Simon the Great Moral Leader (CXyz Simon the Great Moral Leader in the CG) (3000) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Simon's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and change Tamaguchi to Attack Mode. His attack forces Yuma to activate Half Unbreak to prevent Tamaguchi's destruction in battle and halve the Battle Damage, bringing Yuma down to 300 LPs. Carlyle is ready and activates Double Check to destroy Tamaguchi since she wasn't destroyed in battle. Caswell apologizes but Yuma is still in the duel and draws. Next he resummons Gagaga Magician. Then, he activates Gagagawind to Special Summon Gagaga Girl and raise its Level by 1 to Level 4. After that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode. Due to GG's effect, since it and GM are Xyz Material, Simon's ATK becomes 0. Yuma's attack with Utopia not only takes out Simon to win the duel but returns Carlyle to normal. Caswell apologizes and is ready to be friendless but they accept his apology. Later, Yuma resigns from being Student Council President after learning that he has to go to meetings and Caswell resumes his duties while Girag hunts for his next host to use Barian's Force. He encounters artwork of himself and finds the artist and his card's next host. |
