Episode 24: Hunting Down the Hunter (2) | |
Yuma and the others are racing to get to Astral so Orbital 7 calls on his
previous models to stall for time. The bots are somewhat having a hard time but
Caswell and the others decide to deal with the bots while Yuma goes after his
key. At the duel, Kite reminds Astral of his current situation, then sets 1 card
to end his turn. Astral draws and while he wonders what to do next, Yuma reaches
another blocked off area while Caswell and Cathy run from the robots. While
Orbial 7 takes more drastic measures, Astral summons
Zubaba Knight (1600) in Attack Mode. Next he discards 1 card to Special
Summon Acorno (200) in Attack Mode. Next he uses
Drop Exchange to send Acorno and ZK to the
Graveyard for a Level 4 monster like Kagetokage
(1100) in Attack Mode. After that he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode. Elsewhere, Yuma isn't having any luck getting past the firewall and finds a photo of Kite and Hart. He recalls what the door had told him but has no idea what the Power of Zexal is. Back at the duel, Astral takes out Photon Leo with Utopia, brining Kite down to 3600. However, this lets Kite activate Armored Back to revive Photon Leo (2100) in Attack Mode with Photon Spear. Astral knows he has to protect himself against Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and sets 1 card to end his turn. Back inside, Yuma is caught by Orbital 7 and is under pressure from it until Orbital's drills get stuck in the wall. As a result, Yuma escapes. Meanwhile, Kite draws and summons Photon Circle (1000) in Attack Mode. It's not enough to bring out GEPD but the monster equipped with Photon Spear counts as two Tributes so Kite tributes PL for Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. His attack activates GEPD's effect to remove from play itself and Utopia. Since Astral is now defenseless, Kite attacks Astral directly with PC, leaving Astral down by 1000 to 900. With his attacks over, GEPD and Utopia return but GEPD gains Utopia's Xyz Materials and 500 ATK for each Xyz Material it obtained, raising its ATK to 4000. Worse still, Kite uses Galaxy Storm to destroy Utopia since it has no Xyz Materials. However, Astral is ready with Xyz Reflect to negate the effect and deal Kite 800 damage, bringing him down to 2800 LPs. Astral draws and since he has less than 1000 LPs, he uses Utopia as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray (Number C39: Utopia Ray in the CG) (2500) in Attack Mode. Then he uses its effect to detach Utopia and give itself 500 ATK while reducing PC's ATK by 1000 to 0. His attack takes out PC but doesn't win the duel because PC halves the Battle Damage Kite would've taken, bringing him down to 1300 LPs. Astral sets 1 card to end his turn, returning Utopia Ray's ATK to normal. Kite then draws and attacks with GEPD, prompting Astral to activate Clean Barrier - Clear Force to make GEPD's ATK its original ATK, brining Astral down to 400 LPs. Yuma finds his key and hopes Astral is alright but Astral is nearly out of LPs. However, the key activates and brings Yuma to the door again as it's time for Yuma to decide. Astral hears Yuma but fears Yuma is not meant to be in Astral World as it's a whole new place. Yuma races ahead to obtain the Power of Zexal and merges with Astral but while Kite is surprised, the duo still have 400 LPs left and that ruins the moment for Yuma. Astral convinces Yuma to continue and draws before playing Zexal Weapon - Unicorn Spear (1900) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses its effect to equip itself to Utopia Ray, raising its ATK by 1900 to 4400 and preventing GEPD from activating its effect. Their attack forces Kite to activate Photon Shock to deal both of them the Battle Damage that Kite takes from his battle involving a Photon monster, ending the duel in a DRAW. Inside his hospital bed, Shark awakens to learn the news while Yuma's friends converge and escape before the building collapses. Yuma comes out from under the rubble but it's not over between him and Kite! |
