Episode 23: Hunting Down the Hunter (1) | |
Outside, Yuma futilely tries to wake Shark from his slumber while Orbital 7
finalizes the data gathered about Yuma, knowing that if Dr. Faker finds out,
he'll blow his top but so will Kite if Orbital doesn't finish. Shark is taken to
a hospital and doctors have found nothing physically wrong with him but Yuma
knows that since Shark's soul has been stolen, he'll be motionless for a long
time. The group agree to help and Caswell has an idea how to track down the key.
They go to see Mr. Kay, whom isn't so sure about uploading a virus to find the
crook, even with his computer skills. Caswell talks to Mr. Kay, reminding him of
the destruction Crashbug caused and ironically enough, Mr. Kay agrees to use the
same virus to help Yuma out. Back inside, nothing is working to get inside to access Astral World so Kite decides to have Orbital use a shard of his own Barian crystal to activate the signal. Orbital isn't so thrilled as he needs it to run but reluctantly agrees. It works and a portal opens before Kite dives in and ends up in Astral World. While he figures out where things are, Mr. Kay's virus isn't having luck finding the key but shortly thereafter, their luck changes for the better and Yuma and his group race off. Back in Astral World, Kite sees the mysterious ship and once inside finds Astral. The duo exchange their info before Kite suggests a duel. While they get set up, Yuma and crew are still running when Yuma gets the sensation that Astral is using his cards. At the duel, duel preparations take place before Astral draws and sets 1 monster and 1 card face down to end his turn. Kite draws and summons Reverse Buster (1500) in Attack Mode. His attack activates its effects, preventing Astral from activating his face down card and destroying his hidden Gogogo Golem (1500) in Defense Mode. Worse still, when it destroys a monster by its effect, it gains 500 ATK, putting it up to 2000. (The real card doesn't gain or lose ATK when its effect is used.) Kite sets 1 card to end his turn but Astral senses that Kite is hiding something and isn't working alone. Furthermore, he thinks of how much Kite is like Yuma but Kite disagrees as he only cares for Hart and urges Astral to resume the duel. Astral draws and summons Gogogo Giant (2000) in Attack Mode, then Special Summons Gogogo Golem in Defense mode by Gogogo Giant's effect, which also puts itself in Defense Mode since its effect is used. Contrary to what Kite anticipates, Astral activates Double Defender, letting him negate an attack from Kite's monsters once per turn since he controls 2 Defense Position Monsters. Next he sets 1 card to end his turn. Kite draws, knowing that Astral is scared that Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon is coming up and is determined to make Astral pay for being so cautious by using Photon Hurricane to return all of Astral's Spell and Trap Cards to his hand. Next he tributes RB for Photon Leo (2100) in Attack Mode. Due to PL's effect, Astral shuffles all cards in his hand to his Deck and redraws the same amount. While Yuma struggles to get past a closed passageway, Kite equips PL with Photon Spear to deal the difference between its ATK and a Defense Position monster's DEF to Astral if it attacks a monster in Defense Mode and does so. As a result, Gogogo Giant is destroyed, leaving Astral down to 1900 LPs. Astral knows Kite is right about what he said. He was so focused on losing that he didn't find a strategy to start winning. Meanwhile, Yuma gets help from his friends and Mr. Kay as they get the door open. Orbital 7 knows he's not going in the portal and hopes Kite is okay but he's got his own problems as Crashbug has made it to the computer and is wrecking everything on it. Worse still, the security breach has picked up Yuma and the others so Orbital fears he'll be getting a beating when Kite hears about it. Astral won't give up because like Yuma has said, he is feeling the flow! |
