Episode 171: Fighting for a Friend (3)

Inside the trailer, Rebecca successfully gets into Kaiba Corp's satellite and brings them the news and a map of where to go. Yami is about to go alone but his friends insist on tagging along and despite Rebecca's pleas, she's denied the request to go with them as they have their own work to do there. At the duel, Valon wants to know how long Joey will stare at his card so Joey plays Brigadier of Landstar (900) in Attack Mode, then uses Monster Reborn to bring back Rocket Warrior (1500) in Attack Mode. After summoning his Legendary Dragon, Joey fuses it with Rocket Warrior to make Rocket Hermos Cannon and equips it to BoL. His attack activates RHC's effect, destroying all of Valon's Armor monsters but triggering its most devastating effect. Due to Data Brain's effect, Valon gets a copy of Rocket Hermos Cannon and after Summoning Psychic Armor Head by its effect and another Burning Knuckle, whose ATK is raised to 900 by the Seal and its own effects, he equips himself with his RHC copy. His attack leaves Joey defenseless but his copy of RHC only last one turn but that's enough to convince Valon that he's won the duel.

However, Joey gets up and draws while Mai continues searching in the streets for Joey. Elsewhere, Kaiba  and Mokuba go car shopping and Mokuba finds a car he likes, which is good for them because they don't have time to shop. They board it and start the engine. When the car dealer arrives to find out what's going on, Kaiba hands him a check for $500,000 before bolting off. Back at the duel, all Joey can do is set 1 card for his turn so Valon summons Black Hole Shield (500) in Attack Mode and links it to himself and raises BK's ATK by another 200 to 1100. He attacks with BHS and connects but Joey doesn't lose as he activated Aura Armor, paying half his LPs to bring his score down to 200 and negate the attack. Plus for originality, it's linked to Joey's LPs so if it's destroyed Joey loses. Just one more round and one more attack to decide the winner. Valon sets 1 card to end his turn.

Joey draws and uses Roll of Fate to roll a die and draw that many cards, then send that many cards on top of the deck to the Graveyard. Next he activates Red-Eyes Transmigration to send the Red-Eyes in his hand and his Armor to the Grave for Lord of the Red (2400) in Attack Mode, which becomes attached to him. He attacks but Valon uses the effect of Black Hole Shield to reduce Battle Damage to 0 by destroying it. Valon realizes he's shaking, which hasn't happened to him before and also realizes that Joey is pushing him to his limits. Mai arrives but is denied any entrance into the duel as Valon is having too much fun and there's too much at stake. Joey sets 1 card to end his turn so Valon draws and uses his Monster Reborn on Buster Pile, which is attached to himself and raises BK's ATK back up to 1100. He attacks but Joey activates Scapegoat to protect himself but this has activated LotR's effect to destroy all other monsters on the field since 2 Spell Cards were played in one turn. Valon is left defenseless so Joey attacks with LotR but Valon activates Extinction Fist to negate the attack and destroy LotR. Both players are one attack away from defeat. In the next round, one of them will be trapped by the Seal forever!
