Episode 75: Friends 'Til the End (1)

At Domino Pier, Marik knows Yami and Kaiba are arriving soon and figures Yami will simply surrender his Millennium Puzzle and God Card (yes because he did that the last two times, right? >_>) Odeon breaks his concentration by stating that he won 12 Locator Cards, (six each) so they both qualify if necessary but the plan seems flawless. Next, Odeon gives Joey the remainder of his new deck, now containing extremely rare Spell Cards. Up in the chopper, Kaiba declares that he's in charge and wants to find the 3rd God Card but once Yami states his agenda, he decides they should split up. They reach final approach and Joey is spotted all alone.

Nothing Yami says has any affect on Marik's control on Joey and quickly realizes Marik is controlling him. Making matters worse, Tea` is also brainwashed and through her, he explains the new dueling arena and the stakes. Marik/Joey adds a bit on the remaining components before Marik/Tea` protests against Kaiba's refusal to allow the duel and her body is locked in place. Shortly after, Tea` is released from Marik's control and struggles to figure out what's going on. Since Yami's God Card is off limits, Yami is ordered to take it out of his deck but we find that it's in a special container with Joey's Red-Eyes B. Dragon and because of the danger, Yami had no intention on using Slifer but still opts to use Red-Eyes.

Meanwhile, Tristan and Serenity arrive in Domino City but without a clue where Joey is and Tristan cannot get through to Tea` (though her phone clearly still works despite the damage it sustained). Yami takes the first turn by playing Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts (1200) in Defense Mode to end his turn. Marik/Joey plays Raigeki, destroying all of Yami's monsters in play. Next he summons Alligator's Sword (1500) in Attack Mode and attacks directly, leaving Yami down to 2500.

Yami summons Big Shield Gardna (2600) in Defense Mode for his turn. Marik/Joey uses Hinotama, dealing Yami 500 damage to leave his score down to 2000. Odeon informs of Serenity's arrival and is ordered to bring her to Marik. While Yami draws for his turn, Tristan and Serenity discuss what to do next before three Rare Hunters arrive, causing the duo to bolt.Back at the duel, it's all becoming clear to Tea` once the information is given. After some consideration, Yami sets 1 card face down and plays Kuriboh (300) in Attack Mode. Marik/Joey attacks but Yami activates Spellbinding Circle (which of course is a Trap, captain obvious), lowering AS' ATK by 700 to 800 (which isn't part of the real card's effect). Next, Marik/Joey uses another Hinotama card to leave Yami down to 1500. It may be farewell to Yami forever!
