Episode 56: Cosmic Chaos
As everyone else marvels over  Dyson Sphere's size, Kite learns why his first attack failed and the monster's weakness. Nothing will surprise Quinton as everyone learns that Quinton taught Kite everything he knows about dueling and explains via flashback. However, that's the past and they aren't instructor and pupil anymore and Kite's dueling days will soon be  over but Kite sets 1 card to end his turn. Quinton finds Kite predictable and uses Dyson Sphere's other effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and attack directly. However, Kite is ready with Lumenize to negate the attack and boost Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon's ATK by 2800. It's a move Quinton was ready as he activates Space Gate (not to be confused with the TCG's Spacegate card) to negate the activation of Lumenize and destroy it, thus resuming his direct attack and leaving Kite down to 200 LPs.
Just when Kite seems like he might give up, Yuma tells him otherwise but Kite doesn't want Yuma's encouragement and while Orbital backs him up, Tori snaps back at him. Yuma should be with Quinton not Kite as it was Kite's father that betrayed Yuma's father. Quinton recalls another time where he made up his mind to leave his home after learning the truth. Kite has heard enough and draws before playing Overlay Break to remove Dyson Sphere's last Xyz Material and make it vulnerable in battle from any monster. His attack with GEPD prompts Quinton to use another of Dyson Sphere's effects to retrieve 2 cards in the Graveyard as Xyz Material. As a result, Kite's attack fails so Kite sets 1 card to end his turn.
Quinton draws and wanting to destroy Kite's treasured GEPD is equally important so he equips Dyson Sphere with Gravity Blaster, raising its ATK by 400 to 3200 and negating GEPD's effects when it battles. His attack takes out GEPD but Kite activates Mirror Shade to halve his LPs to 100 and reduce Battle Damage to 0. Kite won't give up as his brother not only is not a burden to him but is what keeps him going. His draw yields him the card his father gave him, Message in a Bottle, letting him revive three monsters from his Graveyard with different Levels and their ATKs made 0 so he brings back Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, Photon Thrasher, and Photon Pirate. Since it's not enough and they cannot be Xyz Material yet, Kite uses Upshift to make his monsters' Levels equal the highest Level monster he controls, making them all Level 8.
Now, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (4500) in Attack Mode. Due to the Space Field's effect, Kite draws 1 card and it's what he needs. After that, he uses Neo Galaxy-Eyes' effect to negate all other monsters' effects. (The real card negates all other cards' effects.) Then, he activates Big Bang Panic to make Gravity Blaster one of Dyson Sphere's Xyz Materials, returning Dyson Sphere's ATK to 2800 but raising NGEPD's ATK by 800 to 5300. Furthermore, due to NGEPD's other effect, it absorbs Dyson Sphere's Xyz Materials and gains 500 ATK for each one, raising its ATK to 6800. (The real card detaches an Xyz Material from itself to detach all Xyz Materials from the other monster but still gains the ATK boost.)
Since NGEPD can attack a number of times equal to the absorbed Xyz Materials, Kite attacks with it, taking out Dyson Sphere to win the duel before recalling how he got Message in a Bottle. It took Kite winning the duel to make Quinton remember and it'd been so long since Kite called him by his true name, which was changed due to Dr. Faker. Kite vows to find Dr. Faker and put a stop to his plan. Kite and Hart will always be the little brothers to Quinton and with that, Quinton disappears, leaving behind Dyson Sphere. Yuma looks forward to dueling Kite in the next round and before Kite and Orbital heads out, Orbital gets a system check request denied and checks himself before they take to the skies. Meanwhile, Quinton arrives home and suddenly feels very tired and falls on Trey's bed. Back at the duel, Yuma and Astral know they have to stop Dr. Faker and Vetrix as their father is counting on them!
