Episode 139: A Sight Unseen (1)
At the Supreme Kings' lair entrance, Jim and Axel still can't believe it's Jaden but are held back by his men. SK starts to head back inside as Axel plays Fire Trooper to aid in their escape. SK tells his army to let them go as he's only interested in warriors strong enough to fight. Behind a rock, Axel hands Jim a cantine of water and some water is given to Shirley while a larger portion Jim drinks himself. The two of them discuss what they saw and Jim tells about his ability to see inner spirits of people and about what happened with his eye. He removes the bandages to show Axel (and we're left wondering what is being shown because Jims hat conveniently covers the spot). He calls out to SK and gets his men at first but they allow SK to enter and duel. Jim makes the first move by summoning Shell Knight (2000) in Defense Mode and triggering its effect, dealing SK 500 damage to leave him with 3500. Setting 1 card, he ends his turn. SK uses Dark Fusion to bring out Evil Hero Inferno Wing (2100) in Attack Mode and attacks but Jim activates Sakuretsu Armor, which would destroy EHIW if it weren't for Dark Fusion's effect that prevents the opponent from using Spell or Traps when its Fusion Monster attacks. Shell Knight is taken out, leaving Jim with 3900 then 1900 as SK explains his monsters' effects. The attack causes the bandages on Jim's eye to fall away and we are finally treated with a look as it activates, taking Jim and Axel to where the good Jaden is hiding. They have a brief conversation with Jaden and of course SK before they return to the duel. Jim begins with Fossil Fusion to bring out Fossil Warrior Skull Bone (2000) in Attack Mode. Next he activates Time Stream to pay half his LPs for Fossil Warrior Skull Knight (2400) in Attack Mode, leaving him with 950. He attacks and destroys EHIW, leaving SK with 3200. Using the Quick-Play Spell Half Life, EHIW comes back with half its ATK and due to Skullknight's effect, it can attack again since the opponent has another monster out after the first attack. Once this attack is complete, SK's score is down to 1850. Jim asks if Jaden can hear him and Jaden's real eyes briefly appear before reverting to SK's eyes. Jim will have to play his cards right or this duel might be his last draw!
