A flashback takes place (we know this because Jaden is in the alternate dimension) featuring Jaden against Syrus. Oops! At around 2:28 into the episode, Jaden calls Elemental Hero Tempest Elemental Hero Avian (and you can tell it's not Avian by 2:31)! Jaden attacks with Tempest to win the duel. Syrus feels it's happened before (not that I recall, at least from past episodes). Syrus mentions eating and Jaden is more than happy to take part but we see it was indeed a dream as Syrus wakes up, wondering where he is but quickly remembers. A cry for help breaks his concentration and it's Ojama Yellow trapped in the river. After being rescued, OY explains why he's not with the others. Syrus doubts they'll ever get the Jaden they once knew back.

He too has a story and explains it to OY before declaring that he's only caring about himself (how ironic when that's exactly why you split up from Jaden). When his memories of Jaden continue to haunt him, he tosses out his Duel Disk. A familiar cry for help again breaks his concentration and he manages to get the Doom Dozer responsible for OY's cries to move towards him. A mysterious figure brings out Cyber End Dragon, which takes out Doom Dozer and Syrus knows only Zane uses that so he must be here too. Zane heads down to a collapsed Syrus after his heart gives him momentary chest pain. He orders OY to explain his troubles, which is just what OY does when they arrive at a campfire. In his sleep, Syrus recalls another conversation he had with Jaden. He awakens to hear Zane give him advise for what he needs to do about Jaden before heading off. Zane arrives back with Aster and says they'll see if what he did worked or not but doesn't stop walking so Aster heads out too. Meanwhile, Syrus heads back to the river and is now determined more than ever to get their Jaden back.
