Episode 122: Night of the Living Duelist

Still on their path back to DA, the gang do a quick supplies check and everything is there. Axel finds the next homing device so they're halfway to DA. Jim spots an animal skeleton and asks how long he's been there. Adrian adds his own question of how long until they look just like it. Leave it to Jaden to make the amazing "we have to get back" speech then forget which way home is. In Ms Fontane's room, Blair's condition is getting worse and Ms Fontane hopes they find the meds. At "fort Duel Academy", Alexis says to only summon as a last resort since they're Bio Bands are still draining energy. She then asks Hassleberry and Syrus if they see anything but they don't, then Syrus asks about Bastion, whom Alexis explains is using his brain to get everyone out of this situation and he didn't fare too well without his deck or Duel Disk. Inside the "cafeteria", two Obelisk Blue students argue over roll size and Bastion hands each of them half of his own roll respectively but the argument continues.

Just outside the food vault (which isn't mentioned where that is but I presume it's the basement), Chazz says anyone that wants the food will have him to deal with and the Ojama brothers complain about being hungry but Chazz shoves them aside. Inside Sheppard's office, Crowler moans about what consequences lie ahead for him and Bonaparte says they need to instead find Marcel, then retracts it after Crowler questions why. We then find the same two students that had earlier been arguing about bread size on the landing of some stairs as one of them complains that the other one has chocolate. The second one explains he got it before they came here. They decide to duel for it. Meanwhile, real Marcel sadly says he's all alone but possessed Marcel says he's real Marcel's best friend. (I'll call them RM and PM for short). PM decides to finally make more friends and duels the arguing Obelisk Blue students from a few minutes ago, defeating them and turning them into dueling zombies, one of which finds Chazz and insists to duel him despite his warning. Chazz agrees to the duel as DZ (Duel Zombie for short) plays Abaki (1700) in Attack Mode. Chazz draws and it's exactly what he wanted, Tribute to the Doomed, which he discards Infernal Incinerator and takes out Abaki. Next he uses Premature Burial to bring back Infernal Incinerator (2800) in Attack Mode for a price of 800 LPs, brining him down to 3200. Finally, he uses Megamorph to double its ATK since Chazz has less LPs, putting its ATK at 5600. He attacks directly and wins the duel but the DZ rises back up so Chazz takes out a few more in a duel and they too stand back up. All of the duel zombies surround Chazz as OY constantly tells Chazz to give them some food but all they want is to duel and Chazz is looking pretty worn down as his Bio Band has drained energy from him twice.

Back in his "lair", PM says his army is getting stronger. Jaden and his group see DA in their sights but a Sand Moth blocks their path so Axel decides to handle it with Blaze Accelerator but a second Sand Moth appears and the first one comes back so Axel decides to handle them while the rest head inside. Inside, they discover the duel zombies but Jesse isn't quite believing it. Jaden decides to duel them but before he can start, Alexis and Hassleberry lead them away into the bathroom and Alexis explains the situation from what she and Hassleberry understand. Ms Fontane, meanwhile, has duel zombies outside her door and Blair still isn't getting any better. Back in the bathroom, Axel says they need a plan before they move out but when the finally do, they see that another student has been converted to a duel zombie along with Chazz. Axel finds a path for them and inside that room, they find Syrus, whom at first doesn't want them to see him like this and explains how he got here but now he's glad they're here as the duel zombies got him as well. Other duel zombies enter but Jaden decides to duel and uses Polymerization for Elemental Hero Flame Wingman (2100) in Attack Mode and has it attack the wall, allowing them to escape. Jaden decides to then head to the nurses office and orders the others to head to the gym. Axel protests that he won't make it with all the duel ghouls around. What if they're duel ghouls too? Jaden says it's a risk he has to take and hears Ms Fontane over his homing device. The two get a brief conversation before the signal is lost. Jaden is coming to help Blair and gets the signal back but Ms Fontane doesn't know how long she can hold them off.
