In the palace, Egyptian Bakura still has Aknaden pinned down as Aknaden demands to be released but he's in no position to be making demands and ends up reaching for the Millennium Eye on Aknaden's eye as payment for what Aknaden did. Sharim reports this to Yami and they know only EB could be responsible for such an act. Yami orders his guards to go after EB but EB jumps from the roof and escapes while Seto and others rush to Aknaden's aid. However, Aknaden doesn't speak long and Seto learns of how much strain Akanaden has been under. Meanwhile, EB continues his escape and lets Diabound help but Yami gives chase and calls the Egyptian Gods to join him. Just feet away, Yugi and his group are sleeping when a crash wakes Yugi up as Yami darts out on horseback and the group follow.

Elsewhere, EB has taken Aknaden away and removed his Millennium Eye and recalls a time in Aknaden's past where Aknaden and his men travel to Colelna and create the Millennium Items. Aknaden won't forget the day as it was his best and worst time, remembering what happened afterwards where he stood silent in front of his own son that he abandoned. Back with EB and Yami, Diabound strikes Slifer as EB explains that Diabound acquires abilities of its defeated enemy monsters. Yami strikes back with Slifer and eventually nails it but EB orders Diabound to attack the city instead. It's up to Yami to decide whether to continue fighting EB or protect his people but Yami decides to do both and has Slifer protect the city against Diabound while he and EB continue moving ahead. Slifer and Diabound's tussle is seen by Yugi and crew as Slifer brings Diabound skyward but Diabound disappears to make an invisible strike on Slifer. Yami has another choice to make: lose his city, surrender or hand over his Millennium Puzzle and Yami decides to use the loss of his Millennium Puzzle as a distraction and attacks but finds himself in a predicament that Seto's men must free him from!
