Episode 207: A Reversal of Fortune

Seto and his group finally arrive just as Egyptian Bakura heads out and Yami says the retreat could be to lure them into a trap. In the city, as the fires burn, everyone evacuates to the Palace Courtyard. Seto calls his Duos monsters while Karim calls his Calamine. However, Yami warns that Diabound can strike by night and does, destroying Karim's monster. Yami takes off again with his servants following and while his servants stay below, Yami and EB decide to finish their battle above. Diabound attacks and  Yami's Slifer tries to counterattack but Aknaden throws his sword at the stone carving of Slifer and stops its counterattack before taking a severe hit from Slifer as punishment.

Yami loses enough strength to pass the battle to Seto and Seto attacks but destroys EB's latest monster instead of Diabound. Yami refuses to give-in but collapses from exhaustion and passes out. When he comes to, Yugi and the gang gaze back and EB sees them, wondering how they got there and Yami's strength returns and allows Yami to call The Winged Dragon of Ra. Despite being prevented from hiding itself in the dark, Diabound has the power of an Egyptian God and attacks but Seto's Duos intercepts the attack with its own. Ra then strikes again and leaves both EB and Diabound engulfed in flames. While Diabound falls in a blaze of defeat, EB isn't finished and uses time to rewind the battle and events prior. This time, after Slifer is beaten, Yami is struck down by Diabound as Yugi and his group arrive. Yami finds himself barely clinging on to the cliff's edge as EB takes Yami's Millennium Puzzle and sends Yami falling into the abyss below. Tristan gets angry and nails a blow on EB's face but EB then shoves Tristan into Joey whom came to help. They're no match for EB and his crew so Bobasa shows them which way to run. They find a spot below where EB's men are and the gang realize Yami is gone except for Yugi whom explains that Yami must be alive because of where they are.

Inside the palace, Shada talks to Akhaden, whom  eventually comes to and learns about the experience with the little girl and her inner monster spirit. Despite requests to stay in bed and rest, Aknaden gets to his feet and walks away. Meanwhile, Seto orders his group to keep looking for Yami, even if that means draining the Nile River. Shortly after, Shada tells of what happened to Aknaden and the duo learn that the guest went to the battleground with him. Another man agrees to shed light and brings Seto to where Aknaden is. Seto is in shock when he sees the girl in a cage and servants battling for Aknaden's amusement and Aknaden refuses to stop as it was Seto's plan. Akanaden adds that with Yami gone, it's time for a Pharaoh like Seto to take the throne. It gets worse as Aknaden brings the girl to the battlefield due to her powerful inner monster but Seto refuses to allow it as she hasn't done anything to warrant it. Nevertheless, the girl is pushed onto the bridge to the other side so let the battle begin!
