Episode 104: Knight Takes Pawn
As passengers on board a monorail watch duels take place down below, one player summons Phantom Beast Wild-Horn (1700) in Attack Mode. At their lair, the circuits are building as Lester points out that the duelists have no idea that they're helping out and that's just what Jacob and crew want. In their hideout, while Yusei and Bruno make more tweaks to Yusei's Duel Runner, Yusei recalls what happened with Team Unicorn as well as the events that followed at the hospital. Crow arrives and fails to convince the others that he's ready to go but also mentions that Andre and Jean still cannot have any visitors. Meanwhile, Akiza is out on the streets, knowing she has to get better due to not only their next opponent but what they'd done to Team Unicorn. At the coffee shop, Carly declares that some form of sabotage was the cause of Team Unicorn's accident and it takes Jack some time to be convinced but he has to finish his coffee first. Elsewhere, Team Catastrophe reads the newspaper covering them and it's all thanks to the shadow card one of them is holding and he recalls how he got it. When the other two receive word that Akiza is alone, they head out. Back at the coffee shop, Carly drags Jack away and says to put the bill on her non-existent tab. In their hideout, All Breo can figure is that somehow computer chips allowed Team Catastrophe to access the Duel Runner data but Crow brings up his accident and Carly realizes she took footage of Team Unicorn's duel. Analysis of the monster known as Hook the Hidden Knight indicates to the group that it's somehow responsible. What's worse, Akiza isn't there and they realize she's in danger. We find her moving along until her wheels lockup and she crashes with Hook the Hidden Knight and Team Catastrophe briefly sticking around. Akiza is sent flying and even summoning Rose Tentacles to save her does no good. Yusei gets word that Akiza will be fine but is pretty banged up and out of the next duel. Crow has had enough and despite his injuries, he walks away. They bring their findings to Trudge but Bruno suggests to let Team 5Ds take care of it and both teams emerge on the scene. Crow walks up to them a bit sarcastically until he brings up that they know what's up. The Shadow Card owner assures that what Team 5Ds knows isn't enough and their teammate Hermann and Team 5Ds' Crow take to the starting line. While they wait, even Sherry knows that Illyaster is behind the crashes. The duelists are off and Hermann plays dirty and draws. He plays Hook the Hidden Knight (1600) in Attack Mode before setting 1 card to end his turn and Carly doesn't hesitate to bring the attention to Hermann's monster. Pushing through his pain, Crow draws and summons Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn (2000) in Attack Mode without Tribute by its effect. Next he attacks but Hermann uses HtHK's effect to put both monsters into Defense Mode and deal 800 damage to Crow since it's being attacked while in Attack Mode, bringing Crow down to 3200. Crow starts to wobble and catches the shadow hook in action as do members of the crowd but manages to regain control. Yusei identifies the hook as Hidden Knight's hook but who is Team Catastrophe to have such a power?
