Episode 97: Natural Instincts (2)
At the duel, Andre attacks Yusei's Junk Archer with Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest but Yusei activates Chain Arrow to not only give JA 500 ATK to 2800 this turn but after it takes out GB and lowers Andre's score to 2500, CA also weakens Behemoth the King of All Animals by 1000 to 1700. until Andre's End Phase. Team Unicorn is impressed and may have underestimated Yusei but Andre uses Beast Burial Ritual to draw 2 cards by sending the remaining Nimble Momonga on his field to his Graveyard.

Furthermore, since a Beast-Type monster on his field was destroyed, Andre pays 1000 LPs to bring his score down to 1500 and revive Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest (2600) in Attack Mode. His attacks leave Yusei defenseless and down to 1200 LPs. He sets 1 card to end his turn and Behemoth's ATK returns to normal as Chain Arrow's remaining effect is over. Yusei draws and summons Shield Wing (900) in Defense Mode before setting 2 cards to end his turn, leaving Leo unimpressed and is reminded that it's a good defense. Jean wants this duel wrapped up or Team 5Ds will get suspicious so Andre draws and plays Nimble Momonga (1000) in Attack Mode. Next he discards his last Nimble Momonga to play Egotistical Ape (1200) in Attack Mode. Due to EA's effect, it gains the Level of the discarded monster, making it Level 7. However, Yusei is ready with Shield Coat to double Shield Wing's DEF to 1800 since Andre played a stronger monster.

Nevertheless, Andre uses 3 of his monsters as Synchro Material for Naturia Gaodrake (rather Naturia Leodrake (3000) in Attack Mode. His attacks destroys Shield Wing and leave Yusei defenseless before he activates Howl of the Wild to deal Yusei 300 damage for each of his own monsters, leaving Yusei down by 900 to 300. Finally, Andre sets 1 card to end his turn so Yusei draws and summons Debris Dragon (1000) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses DD's effect to Special Summon Shield Wing in Defense Mode. Then he uses Speed Spell - Vision Wind to bring back Speed Warrior (900) in Attack Mode since has six Speed Counters. After that, he uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Stardust Dragon (2500) in Attack Mode.
Akiza is loving this duel and wonders if she can handle it at this level. With his attack, he activates Synchro Strike to give SD 500 ATK for each of its Synchro Materials, raising its ATK by 1500 to 4000. His attack takes out Green Baboon to leave Andre down to 100 LPs. Just as Yusei is about to use Speed World 2's effect to win, Team Unicorn's practice run time ends. The duo shake hands and agree to settle things in the preliminaries. Yusei isn't so confident he would've won next turn due to Andre's face down card and feels it was a game changer. A trio of men are confident that they'll defeat Team 5Ds and suggest that team forfeit if they think Team Unicorn is a threat.
The next day, Yusei does well in a practice run but Sherry pulls up, saying she could've beaten that and isn't worried about her opponent in the preliminaries. She is worried about the other participants and and fears they could be working with Illyaster. At Martha's place, Jack and Crow explain Yusei's absence but Martha questions Jack's  lack of a job from what Zora had told her. Crow then notices how quiet things are and Martha calls the kids from their hiding places. Crow sees their creation and loves it and will get to see it whenever he's frustrated in the tournament.
The following day, Yusei comes down to some great smelling food Bruno is making and learns why Crow isn't there. We find Crow taking things well until a card appears and he ends up taking a nasty fall. At the hospital, Crow learns he'll be out of dueling for a month, which is too long to participate in the preliminary duel. Back at Zora's place, the group discuss handling the matter until Akiza volunteers to take Crow's place. Concluding he's not wanted, Crow heads off into the rain while Akiza struggles within herself to gather the confidence to take part in the World Racing Grand Prix. The group set out the following day with no sign of either Akiza or Crow but find both of them in the midst of practicing. The day of the WRGP preliminaries is here and here comes Team 5Ds!
