Episode 93: The Question of the Card
Sherry tells a story of a Spell Card that not only was the cause of her anger but will also bring about the end. She arrives at the estate and finds the man that has hunted her down for the card as ordered but cannot identify the man to Sherry as they operate in shadows. With no leads, Sherry decides they must use technology not muscle to get answers and decides to go to the Public Security Bureau's Mainframe. Meanwhile, Trudge, Mina, Yusei and Bruno meet at a table and have no leads on Bruno's memories but Yusei is more than willing to let Bruno stay with him for a while.
At Sector Security, Trudge gets a call that the place has been rigged with explosives. While Yusei and Bruno make their way back down, a new voice answers Trudge and proves he's more serious than Trudge believes by detonating explosives and cutting off the power. Mina issues a Code Red and everyone is ordered to evacuate. Everyone makes it out before the sub director is bombarded with questions as Trudge explains that the real directors cannot be found. Worse still, the place is put on lockdown. Yusei manages to pry open the elevator and escape but spots a familiar duo running away on the floor below.
It's Sherry and Elseworth, whom have just finished getting into the mainframe but they don't have time to discuss plans for the tournament when they have to get out.  Sherry reveals that the two of them are behind the explosives but Elseworth keeps Yusei back while Sherry walks away. Bruno attacks but is launched into the next room and sealed off from Yusei, whom says to stop Sherry. While Bruno goes off to do that, Elseworth sets up a duel to allow Yusei out. Yusei accepts the duel so Elseworth draws and summons Spirit Summit Warrior (1200) in Attack Mode.
Due to SSW's effect, Elseworth brings out the Level 3 Liberated Rear Warrior (0000) in Attack Mode. Since LRW is a Tuner (which they don't tell you), Elseworth uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Driven Daredevil (2400) in Attack Mode. With that, he sets 2 cards face down to end his turn so Yusei draws and discards Quillbolt Hedgehog to Special Summon Quickdraw Synchron (700) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses Quillbolt Hedgehog's effect to Special Summon itself (800) in Attack Mode. Then he treats QS as Nitro Synchron and uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Nitro Warrior (2800) in Attack Mode. His attack doesn't destroy DD by its effect but leaves Elseworth down to 3600 LPs.
Due to DD's other effect, NW is destroyed. Furthermore, Elseworth activates Master and Servant's Resolve to deal damage to the owner of a monster destroyed during the Battle Phase equal to their monster's ATK, leaving Yusei down to 1200. However, keeping this effect in play costs Elseworth 1000 LPs, giving a maximum of 4 turns (in the CG he wouldn't be able to pay on the 4th turn). While a guard cuts into the door, Trudge knows that someone inside must've gotten in and learns of the breach of their super mainframe. Bruno tries to stop Sherry but is attacked each time but Yusei summons Tricular (300) in Defense Mode and sets 1 card to end his turn.
Elseworth draws, taking 1000 damage by MaSR's effect, leaving him down to 2600. Next, he takes out Tricular with DD's attack, letting Yusei Special Summon Bicular (200) in Defense Mode. However, Elseworth activates Reversal Sword to destroy Bicular since Yusei's monster was destroyed and Bicular is a lower Level and both take damage equal to its ATK, brining him down to 2400 LPs and Yusei down to 1000 LPs. He sets 1 card to end his turn.
A screen pops up to show Elseworth the footage of Sector Security moving in and relays the info to Sherry, whom is also caught up. Bruno wants no more and Sherry wants to solve the mystery of one card and attacks but Bruno taps into some powers and manages to turn the tables before Sherry's words allow him to finish the mystery himself. At the duel, Yusei learns what this is all about and Elseworth insists that Sherry knows what she's doing so Yusei draws and summons Debris Dragon (1000) in Attack Mode. Next he uses its effect to Special Summon Tricular in Attack Mode.
Since he Normal Summoned, Yusei Special Summons Turbo Booster (0000) in Attack Mode. After that, he uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Stardust Dragon (2500) in Attack Mode. The next move will decide who wins the duel as Yusei attacks, leaving DD still on the field and not only bringing Elseworth down to 2300 LPs but letting Elseworth activate Standoff to prevent monsters from being Tributed. (A Spell Card with this name exists in the CG that has this effect more or less.) Elseworth uses DD's other effect to get rid of SD but Yusei counters with Space Jump to remove SD from play and deal its ATK as damage to Elseworth to win the duel and grant passage through.
While Elseworth thinks about working with Yusei as a team, the analysis of the card is complete but there's nothing to offer and a fierce storm begins outside while the trio are transported to a blank room with a mechanical entity inside. The entity scans them before releasing them outside while Trudge learns of the mainframe shorting out. The group have no idea what just happened but Elseworth is glad they stopped Sherry when they did and takes her away. Since Sherry had no luck finding answers, it's Yusei and Bruno's turn to have a shot at finding those answers!
