Episode 88: Showdown at Sundown (2)
At the duel, Kalin explains that he's waiting for fate to deliver his end, which could be losing the duel but he won't just let Yusei win. One of Radley's members calls Kalin nuts and wants to step in but Radley keeps him back as Kalin has never lost. Malcom wants to resume the duel so Kalin draws and summons Infernity Dwarf (800) in Attack Mode. Since Infernity Avenger is a Tuner (which they don't tell you), Kalin uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Infernity Doom Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. Yusei hasn't heard of the monster before but Kalin uses its effect to destroy Yusei's Junk Warrior since  and deal Yusei damage equal to half its ATK since Kalin himself has no cards in his hand, leaving Yusei down to 350 LPs.
With nothing else left to do, Kalin ends his turn so Yusei draws and destroys his face down Limiter Overload to play Card Breaker (100) in Attack Mode. Since LO was destroyed while face down, Yusei Special Summons Speed Warrior (900) in Attack Mode from his Graveyard. Next he tributes SW for Turret Warrior (1200) in Attack Mode, which gains ATK equal to SW, which is a Warrior-Type monster, raising its ATK by 900 to 2100. Then, since Boost Warrior is a Tuner monster (which they don't tell you either but the real card isn't), Yusei uses his monsters as Synchro Material for Stardust Dragon (2500) in Attack Mode. Malcom is fairly confident now but Radley isn't giving up just yet as Yusei also sets 1 card to end his turn.
Kalin draws and sets 1 card before attacking with IDD but Yusei activates Power Frame to negate the attack and give SD ATK equal to the difference in ATK points, raising its ATK by 500 to 3000. Yusei draws and plays Second Booster (1000) in Attack Mode, then attacks with SD but Kalin activates Infernity Break to remove from play the Infernity Dwarf in his Graveyard to destroy Power Frame, making SD weaker and prompting Yusei to cancel the attack. Next, Yusei uses SB's effect to tribute itself and give Stardust Dragon 1500 ATK this turn, raising its ATK to 4000 since the ATK of his monster changed. (The real card needs needs nothing to allow you to use its effect.) His attack destroys IDD to win the duel.
However, instead of aiding in Kalin's escape, she paralyzes Yusei's body and doesn't answer as to why she's done this. Suddenly, a new vehicle appears and out steps a man that knocks Radley to the ground before Radley reveals that the man is Lawton. Lawton challenges Radley to a duel and Radley eventually accepts. Lawton draws and summons Gatling Ogre (800) in Attack Mode before setting 5 cards face down. Next he uses GO's effect to destroy his face down cards and deal Radley 800 damage for each one, winning him the duel. As a result, Lawton reveals several Duel Disks attached to his vehicle and orders everyone else to give up their Duel Disks or duel. Yusei learns that Barbara was only interested in helping Malcom rule the town and needed to get rid of Kalin, which is why Yusei was contacted in the first place.
Lawton has had enough and orders Yusei to be taken to the mines with Kalin. Malcom makes an announcement whereby they run the show so basically any actions from the other group are limited to permission. While the boy and his sister wonder how to save Kalin, Yusei, Kalin and Radley are escorted to their working area while Yusei picks up a loose nail from one of the giant handcuffs. The duo get to work but Kalin keeps having trouble but the work shift ends and one work cannot continue so he's dragged away. Yusei dislikes how they're being treated and manages to get his collar off with the nail but Kalin refuses to listen. Elsewhere, the town celebrates and Malcom reveals that he's renaming the town for Barbra's nickname. The two kids decide to sneak off with Yusei's Duel Runner but Lawton soon realizes its disappearance. Back in the mines, Yusei tells Kalin that fate will bust them out!
