Episode 77: Dawn of the Duel Board (1)
At a practice duel, Yusei uses Junk Archer's effect to remove Akiza's Phoenixian Cluster Amaryllis from play. His direct attack leaves Akiza down to 1700 LPs and struggling to control her Duel Runner. Leo can't wait until Yusei teaches him how to Turbo Duel but Luna reminds him that he's just a kid but Leo is determined to show Luna otherwise. Meanwhile, Ylliaster watches the TV screen and one of them, revealed as Lester, is disappointed that the circuit didn't activate in spite of the two signers dueling but they need great powers with what they're doing and it will come in due time. However, the taller one protests that Jacob, the shorter yet larger one still has to deal with the Crimson Dragon and that can tear their entire plan apart so they'll need to use Yusei to either defeat it or make it their own.
Primo, the one questioning Jacob, will just need to defeat Yusei in a duel but their train of thought is interrupted as another stone tablet crashes to Earth. It's Lester's tablet and when Yusei and the others learn about it, they know it's not good news as it's with the last tablet that Ghost started appearing. They agree to check it out for themselves but a crowd has already gathered and the area is surrounded by Sector Security and not letting them any closer. All they can do is hope for the best but Yusei is fearing the worst. At Duel Academy, Lester arrives as a student and there is much chatter among the class before their teacher reminds them of the junior Grand Prix coming up at East Academy, which Lester has already won in the past. Everyone has questions for him but the duels are next and despite Leo's claims, he loses the duel against Lester.
Luna and Bob are up next and Lester will be watching Luna duel but not for the same reason Luna thinks. Luna draws and plays Sunlight Unicorn (1800) in Attack Mode before deciding what to play next. Later, Lester questions why Luna didn't try harder and Luna insists she has much to learn but Lester feels that Luna lost to conceal her Signer powers and knows how to make them happen. Inside the garage, Luna tells Yusei about Lester and Yusei is supportive but Leo's words leave him a bit puzzled. The next morning, Lester meets up with Luna and asks what she has planned after school but Leo wants none of it and drags Luna away. In school, Leo is walking the halls when Mrs. Bartlett appears to request he stay a bit after school.

It was all a ruse though as Lester's true self appears around the corner. As Luna walks home, Lester pulls up in a limo and invites her to join him at his place. Luna accepts and off they go. Meanwhile, the real Mrs. Bartlett sees Leo and suggests he go home, leaving Leo all confused. Back in the limo, Luna and Lester arrive to see a mansion and a butler. Leo is aggravated at what Bob revealed to him earlier and is ready to dish it out against Lester, whom is riding a skateboard of sorts called a Duel Board. While Luna struggles to adjust to the Duel Board, Leo goes to tell the others while the butler arrives (and the drinks are more like orange juice because lemonade is much more yellow or at least not orange). Lester reveals that the butler is really Primo, the 2nd member of Ylliaster.

Back in the garage, Leo shares the news of the Duel Board and this intrigues the group and Yusei figures they have the parts to make one. He even agrees to put one together. Elsewhere, Luna and Lester are about to go their separate ways and Lester agrees to let Leo tag along tomorrow. Luna comes home to an empty house as we find Leo still with Yusei in getting the Duel Board finished. Even by daylight, Leo still isn't back and we find him practicing to use the Duel Board but he's not having luck staying on very long. Luna finds him as Yusei had told her what they'd been doing but wants to train with her yet Lester appears and pushes him aside, eager to duel Luna right away. Leo is not interested in letting Lester duel Leo alone and joins her to Lester's acceptance.

Luna starts the duel by playing Bird of Roses (1800) in Attack Mode. Lester hoped for more and draws before playing Absurd Stealer (100) in Attack Mode. Due to AS' effect, it makes BoR's ATK 0 and makes its own ATK equal to BoR's DEF until the End Phase, leaving it with 1500. His attack takes out BoR and leaves Luna flying and down to 2500 but Regulus gets her back on track. Yusei's mark glows and he knows Luna is involved but Luna uses BoR's effect to Special Summon Nettles (400) and Spore (800) in Defense Mode. Unphased by Luna's new monsters, Lester sets 3 cards to end his turn, returning AS' ATK to 100. Leo draws and plays Morphtronic Datatron (1200) in Attack Mode.
His attack prompts Lester to activate Exus Summon to return AS to his hand and Special Summon Sky Core (0000) in Attack Mode and make it the attack target. Furthermore, Lester uses Torrential Tribute to destroy all monsters on the field. As a result, Lester brings out Machine Emperor Skiel Infinity (0000), Skiel Top (600), Skiel Attack (1000), Skiel Guard (200) and Skiel Carrier (400) in Attack Mode by Sky Core's effect. Then he merges them into Machine Emperor Wisel (Meklord Emperor Wisel in the CG and it's 1 card) (2200) in Attack Mode, the biggest monster Leo has ever seen!
