Episode 42: The Signs of Time | |||
Still at the hospital, Mina shows a boy taking part in a duel where he plays Hinotama and his opponent protects himself with his psychic ability. Akiza wonders if this could be why Misty's brother disappeared. However, Mina adds that Akiza was just another of Sayer's pawns for world domination and Akiza cannot take it and runs out of the room. Yusei finds her and is glad that Akiza is still sad about Sayer's disappearance as she has a good heart and has the confidence needed to help out. They, along with Jack, Luna, and Leo arrive at Goodwin's mansion but Jack doesn't buy into Goodwin's words as Goodwin has been messing with them since day 1.
Nevertheless, Goodwin has the info that can help Yusei out so Akiza joins in. Leo asks about super dueling decks and is told to go home but Luna gets Goodwin to let them stay, provided no pets. Goodwin leads them inside for the answers they seek but is glad to see that Jack hasn't lost his sense of humor in addition to his title. They find themselves at the Stairway to the Crimson Dragon, where Jack had been before, and their Signer Marks glow as Goodwin explains that the Crimson Dragon chose them to take on the Army of Shadows. He then asks Luna about her "gift" and she tells about the danger the Duel Spirits were in and her connection to Ancient Fairy Dragon. Goodwin adds the story of how the Dark Signers came to be and warns that he cannot go further so if they choose to, they'll be working on it with everything they have. Jack wants answers but Goodwin says they don't want to know anymore about the Dark Signers as it may be a battle they cannot win. They'll have to act quickly as they don't have much time to decide! |
