In the hallways, the two finalists meet and Akiza explains that her mark brought her nothing but pain. Just then, Leo and Luna arrive to tell Yusei of an argument but seeing Akiza is enough to put it off. Lazar arrives to check on things and says that Goodwin needs to see Akiza but Sayer and his men take Akiza away to rest. Yusei turns to Lazar and asks about Akiza but Lazar had thought Yuse was kept up-to-date and walks away. Luna brings up that seeing Akiza gives her a different feeling. Inside a bath of some kind, Akiza is told by Sayer about how risky their movement is in joining the tournament but Akiza can speak for herself. It's nearly time for her duel and she needs to defeat Yusei and if she does, Jack will fall to his knees and their big moment will arrive.

Inside a room, Yusei knows that the marks connect each other and they can form some sort of team to stop Goodwin and others from taking control.  Fireworks light up the skies and Akiza knows what time it is and takes her mask even though Sayer says she won't need it. The crowd shows their disapproval as Tanner explains that they're really afraid of what Akiza's powers can do and are there in hopes of seeing her lose. In his office, Goodwin learns of Akiza's not pending arrival but isn't worried about the Arcadia Movement she's apart of as she's going to do them a favor as she's more than capable of getting Yusei's mark to appear. At the site of the duel, the intros are made and duel preparations take place.

Akiza begins with Wall of Ivy (1200) in Defense Mode and sets 1 card to end her turn. Yusei draws and summons Speed Warrior (900) in Attack Mode and this turn, its ATK doubles to 1800. His attack takes out WoI and Special Summons an Ivy Token to Yusei's field. Akiza draws and activates Cursed Ivy to bring it back to the field. Yusei recalls what happens when an Ivy Token is destroyed before drawing and tributing SW for Turret Warrior (1200) in Attack Mode and TW gains SW's ATK (since SW is a Warrior-Type monster but they don't tell you that), raising its ATK by 900 to 2100. He attacks and destroys WoI and gets another Ivy Token, then two more Ivy Tokens by CI's effect.

Disappointed that Yusei has nothing more for his turn, Akiza draws and uses Seed of Deception to Special Summon Dark Verger (0000) in Attack Mode. Next she tributes it for Rose Tentacles (2200) in Attack Mode and uses its attack to destroy TW and leave Yusei down to 3900 LPs with a significant gust of wind enveloping everything in its path. Furthermore, RT can now attack all four of Yusei's tokens and deal him 600 damage (300 damage with the Ivy Token and the other 300 by RT's effect) by the Tokens' effects. Her attacks leave Yusei down to 1500 LPs and a brief trip into the air before crashing down again, seeing that Akiza is enjoying all of this and wants to make Yusei fell her pain. The crowd gets confirmation of what they feared and continue their insults but Yusei wants to help and plays Shield Warrior (1600) in Defense Mode before setting 2 cards to end his turn.

It all makes sense to Yusei. Akiza enjoys not only making people suffer but how it makes her feel as a whole and Akiza is going to enjoy herself a whole lot more in the rest of this duel!
