Episode 20: Second Round Showdown (1)

In the audience, Leo is upset that Luna lost the duel but Luna reminds Leo that at least he didn't lose and there was more at stake than the victory and wonders what the Professor meant, gripping her arm and leading the others to believe it's an injury but Yusei suggests taking the duo home. The MC announces the second round pairings and it pits Yusei against Greiger, the one that beat Leo (sorry Leo but you weren't  much in the competition) and Greiger is rumored to have an unbeatable new Duel Runner that will be used in the duel. Leo concocts a plain and a lie to carry it out. Meanwhile a boat arrives in the Satellite and all passengers get off with their belongings before Blister joins a ride to the Satellite Sector.

Elsewhere, Lazar hands Greiger a Trap Card that should defeat Yusei and get the mark to appear and Griger agrees that it's the perfect card, then asks Goodwin if the other end will be given and Goodwin assures that it will.  In the hallway, Greiger encounters Jack, whom shows a strong dislike towards him and isn't worried about him winning as he barely beat Leo. That night outside, Leo has arrived at Greiger's garage and stumbles inside to find much more than he bargained for. Inside their apartment, it's past 8PM and no sign of Leo so Yusei agrees to find him but allows Luna to come along with some convincing.

Greiger arrives to find the alarm tripped and Leo as the culprit and asleep. The van arrives at the Satellite version of Wal-Mart and everyone gets out despite Goodwin's men being everywhere. Blister finds the location where Yusei's friends are and enters the subway tunnel. When he arrives at the hangout, the place is a mess and no sign of Yusei's friends. In the streets, Luna and Yusei converge without any sign of Leo. Worse still, Blister chimes in to report his findings but has to end it quickly as the signal is being tracked. Just then, Greiger arrives from the alley, carrying a sleeping Leo over his shoulder and explains how he found him.

Leo and Luna are tucked into bed back in the apartment before Greiger adds that Leo reminds him of his own brother. The duo state their reasons for joining and they are from the same source. Yusei protests that Goodwin isn't to be trusted but Greiger adds that he needs the power to rebuild his village. The next day, it's time to start the second round, putting Greiger against Yusei. All Luna knows is that Leo had something important to tell Yusei. Inside the garage, that's what Leo does and Yusei isn't all that upset and doesn't need to cheat to beat Greiger and heads off. Yusei arrives on the track and Greiger gets set up before making his presence known, including his new Duel Runner that has everyone amazed.

The duel preparations get underway as the MC reminds the viewers that Speed Spells are the only Spell Cards allowed. Greiger draws and summons Spell Reactor RE (1200) in Attack Mode, then sets 3 cards to end his turn. Yusei draws and sets 1 card before summoning Speed Warrior (900) in Attack Mode. However, this prompts Greiger to activate Hidden Soldiers, letting him Special Summon a Level 4 monster (more specifically a Level 4 or lower DARK monster) from his hand and he chooses Trap Reactor YFI (800) in Attack Mode. Yusei remains unphased and adds that SW doubles its ATK the Battle Phase it's Summoned, putting its ATK up to 1800. His attack causes Greiger to activate Fake Explosion, negating the attack and bringing out a Level 5 monster like Summon Reactor SK (2000) in Attack Mode but also still dealing him battle damage, bringing his score down to 3400. Contrary to Leo's words, Greiger activates Delta Reactor to send his monsters to the Graveyard for Flying Fortress SKY FIRE (3000) in Attack Mode. Yusei can't make a move without getting hurt and since Greiger's family needs him, Yusei will have to lose the duel!
