Episode 11: The Take Back (1)

That night, as Yusei walks along, the guards are keeping their eyes on him. Yusei hopes Tanner's card works, remembering what Tanner told him. He arrives at the place Tanner mentions and makes his way to the counter where the bartender gives his first impression but is surprised to see the Giant Ushi Oni card once Yusei orders the milk. However, once the bartender spots the guards, he orders Yusei out as Blister finds you not the other way around. Yusei polishes off the glass of milk and heads out with the guards still moving behind. A Duel Runner is heard and it's Blister behind the wheel, whom picks up Yusei as they speed away from the guards giving chase. The guards lose Yusei's trail as Blister jams the frequency.

They arrive at Blister's house where Yusei explains his situation before noticing a photograph with a damaged Machina Sniper card. Blister isn't thrilled that Yusei is snooping around but is willing to briefly explain his story as a duelist. Now all Yusei needs is a lot of luck, his new ID card, new look and passcode for his runner but Officer Trudge is lurking nearby, ready to bring Yusei into The Facility for life, recalling his conversation with Sector Security earlier. The next morning, Blister hands Yusei the bag with all he'll need for the risk he's taking that night and learns that Yusei is out to get his friends into New Domino City but Blister says one doesn't need friends as they only let you down, elaborating on his story.

Yusei heads out, thanking Blister for his help and says not to be so hard on himself, leaving Blister to gaze at the card and regret what he did. Outside, Yusei walks along as Officer Trudge rides behind him and Blister sees this but doesn't warn Yusei. Yusei enters Sector Security's building as the lights go out and removes his gear once the coast is clear, spotting a police drone before arriving at the desired door. He gets in and finds where his runner is but Officer Trudge finds him first. As his men come after Yusei, Yusei ducks into  the box with his runner and proves it's anything but offline by crashing through. He narrowly makes it through the closing door but Trudge has caught up and forces Yusei to make him surrender through a duel.Yusei starts the duel with Quillbolt Hedgehog (800) in Defense Mode, just needing some time to reach the schematics and be home free. Trudge draws and summons Search Striker (1600) in Attack Mode and attacks, destroying QH and setting 1 card to end his turn. Yusei draws and brings out Junk Synchron (1300) in Attack Mode and uses QH's effect to bring itself back (with Beaver Warrior's cry from the original Yu-Gi-Oh series I might add). Next he sends his monsters to the Graveyard to Synchro Summon Junk Warrior (2300) in Attack Mode.

However, Trudge uses Discord Counter to negate JW's Synchro Summon and return JS and QH to Yusei's field in Defense Mode and Yusei can't use them for a Synchro Summon until the end of his next turn. Yusei is close to the desired opening but it closes before he gets there and other corridors also close along his path. With nowhere left to run, Yusei heads back and isn't willing to tell Trudge why Goodwin is so interested in him. Nevertheless, Trudge draws and plays Pursuit Chaser (1400) in Attack Mode. His attacks destroy both of Yusei's monsters and since PC was destroyed, Yusei takes 500 damage (actually, it's the other way around as PC wasn't destroyed but it did destroy a monster in battle), bringing Yusei down to 3500 LPs. Trudge sets 1 card to end his turn and that's all Yusei can do for his next turn too.Trudge knows there's nowhere Yusei can go but Blister talks to Yusei via headset and Yusei floors it towards what looks like a dead end. Will Yusei make it?
